  • This is a truly unique hotpot experience. This hotpot is called stewed pot and ingredients are added into a stewed broth with either fish or meat. You can also steam fresh buns inside the wok itself.

Mike- the all you can eat poutine place in Montreal is called "Poutineville". There are 3 locations, but the best one is on Parc street (closer if you are downtown). There's another one on Ontario and Beaubien streets.

What makes that hot pot experience so unique is the steamed bread. There are other hot pots with fish, tofu skin, potatoes, and pork belly in a spicy, numbing broth. But, having that raw dough turn into fluffiness on one side and crispiness on the other is magical. Hurray for that cast iron wok/pot!

Had a very good friend when I was on active duty who is from Vietnam and I always enjoyed her cooking. Starting life out as an Army brat and then serving allowed me to come across different foods. I started learning how to cook from my grandmother who cooked for a living when I was in elementary school. I'm always willing to try new dishes because one never knows what they will like until they try it...

Those lobster noodles looked SO good! That's my ideal flavor profile these days because I'm not as much into spice as I used to be. 16 bucks for all the beef in the beef pho looks like it was worth it, too, and the onsen egg pho looked good as well. If I had friends, I'd go for hot pot with them some time...

It"s 8:44am and I am sitting here eating a simple curry soup made from store bought spicy paste (2tbs) , half a table spoon of Korean beef soup powder, rice cakes, a couple of frozen pork dumplings and a handful baby bok choy feeling pretty spiffed with myself for making it (this morning) and then I see your video.... I have food envy but my soup nice and spicy and is what I had wanted lol.
If anyone's wondering why I am eating spicy soup for breakfast it's because I have been feeling sick. Eating something spicy was always one of my mother's cures given growing up when I was unwell. The spice helps open up the sinuses and aid with decongestion of the head. However she often made things with a lot of garlic and kimchi, I'm lazy 🤣
