this is a single sentence out of book and can be misconstrued...JK said that he didn't bother with reading even...this quote should be presented with the rest of the paragraph it is apart of.
The easiest way to escape Krishnamurti's teaching is to say that he is only for razor-sharp intellectual people because supporting JK's teaching is the ending of the guru business. JK's teaching is very simple and anybody can understand it.
@ Kay Pandian... The Buddha said it this way "Make yourself the light, Make the Truth the Light and do not rely on persons... and do not rely on what I say or what someone else says". And this is why respect JK so much!
JK Never spoke about anybody´s life, never interfered with anyone or anything illusionary. He was only concern about human problems at the grassroots level and he started to work on it. His teachings are so meaningful, realistic, and very simple to understand. Such a great soul he was.
He is great- he has learned the wisdom of dharmic traditions (Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism etc.), experienced great consciousness, practiced mysticism and made his learnings available in his language which is quite good especially for for people who are not from dharmic traditions.
While this is true for "yogis" of a specific kind, this doesn't hold well for everyone. How about Karma Siddhanta? It is the foundation of almost all metaphysical concepts especially in the spiritual mahadhara of sanatana Dharma. In bhakti yoga Krishna himself says, for those who can understand "god" in a formless way it is good, but, since it is almost not possible for everyone, Karma is the way - to know "namaha" "that which is not" . So, this is good for JK and likewise for RamanaMaharshi, may be also for Srirama krishna paramhans, but we must not follow that path. It is like because Adishankara swalloed molten iron orated Nirvana shatkam, you can do it too . No. No way. While "following"is good, it is also important to follow that which you can. So it is imp to know who it applies and appeals to. If you tell the above to a common man, it is very likely you will send him down ironically. It might do so less good. That's why Karma Siddhanta is practiced widely. To repeat, and summarize, I am not saying jk is right or wrong, I'm saying we must choose to follow what he said carefully. Because he is a "dhara" and we? We are still the fishes trying find our way.
I met J Krishnamurti when I was a child, in the UK. My father took us to listen to him, and I was lucky enough to be standing next to him in the queue for lunch. I wanted to say something to him so I picked up a bowl of salad dressing and offered it to him. He took some, and smiled at me, saying thank you.
Kamlesh Reesaul 《Lives in the shadow with Krishnamurti》is not a fair book , besides , he never denied the relationship . There’s explications from the other side !
I was 17 back in 1978. Life was meaningless. No direction in my life. No internet only books. So a book came into my life and it changed all my awareness of my world. It was never the same no more. J k s book on awareness and transformation. The world needed a man like this to prepare what will come after in conciousness. There is no coincidences in life only preplanned.
Jk's face, even when not smiling, had love emanating, unconditionally, making you feel a rare warmth. He generally sat straight-backed, while speaking, giving out a stiff demeanour, but his face looked of an affectionate father and an adoring mother syncd together! Not advising or suggesting the listener to follow him or agree with him..mostly making the listener''s mind active in its own way! Rather he repeated the same thought lines, looking at it from angles, i feel to help us focus on the simple essence of life, than get lost following myriad of pathways to nowhere! (My feeling!)
He probably was from the Zen School which does not believe in having a master. We all need a great master to reach higher plateaus....................faalundafa
What i understood is; there is nothing for a soul to be sought. Peter said the same about Paul, that what Paul wrote and spoke not everyone understood .. This is how Krishnamurti was .. Not everyone understood them, because his words were not for everyone.
Krishnamurti was the first spiritual teacher who was able to get through to me, and it was precisely because of his razor sharp intellect that he was able to. So while he's not for everyone, I think he's extremely important for people with strong analytical minds, because he is able to use the intellect to cut through veils that people have built up with their own intellect.
I came here after watching many of Jk videos n i must say i agree with Khalil Jibran..JK hit my heart n made me cry with love..you have to be sensitive to understand him.
I am seeing many comments critical to Sadhguru here. I read and followed JK teachings extensively 25 years ago, and that altered my understanding about myself completely. Especially his book “Freedom from the known”, I still have in my library. Both JK and Sadhguru are enlightened, but the methods both have adopted to communicate are totally different. JK’s method, I have to say, is definitely liberating, as he cautions us what all we should not do. But he never divulged as to what to do and how to achieve it. Jk definitely brought me clarity, but the profound inner experience only came when I followed Sadhguru.
I agree. An intellectual satisfaction is only part of it. It’s like using one wheel to drive. Understanding it through experience adds more balance or an extra wheel to navigate.

@@ujjalboruah4545 it took a very long time of inquiry for me to realize, it is the inattention that problems only seem to appear. This comes to mind when one says, “there are so many distractions” but the distractions exist because one is not really really paying attention to what’s really going on. I think this is why jk emphasis having complete attention giving all your energy to that - being aware of what’s going on. So In that ‘experience’ one become more alive. Krishnamurthy is a genius simply marvelous, and so full of love, and to rethink the education system - wow, that's the best thing he did. I was an Inner Engineering practitioner for 2 years and It helped me to understand that we don't need methods to be free. We need methods when we want to do something while Meditation is something that allows us to undo everything. Sadhguru's method provided me with a juxtaposition to clearly see what methods can do and what it can't. I don't agree with Sadhguru for his conclusion on JK having no inner experience. I think he has a phenomenal inner experience that's why he refuses to give any methods, teachings or authority because he has truly understood the nature of being. Intelligence and Compassion - JK :)
Not at all. Sadguru did never say that JK had no inner experience. Rather said that, very few razor sharp minds can understand his words. Very few, who want to explore on their own. While making words about any enlightened being, we should take our position very well of total alertness. I ve no relation with Isha foundation or Jk foundation, but I feel a relationship with both of the teachers.

It's not what Krishnamurti said, but how he said it, that's what we need to learn from him. He perfectly expressed the processes verbally. Jnana is something that should be taught to all of us when we're young.
We are young as far and as long as we feel ourselves as beginners not as mature in something. So we can grasp knowledge not because of youth but because our inner feeling that can be verbalized as "someone may know it better than me" until it evolves and transform itself into "nobody can teach me on this". The beautiful part of this evolution is that it can be dismissed at any moment with no reward so you can learn something as a true beginner. But ability to dismiss own experience is not widely spread across people. So it came to us as one who can dismiss his own knowledge or memory in the meaning of being free in his choice independently from his memory and previous choices - as special being. Indeed it is special. But all of us had nothing special in making everyday choices with or without memory as far as we did that choices in unconscious way.

Anybody can listen to JK and with choice-less awareness observe himself or herself and get out of the mess that they are caught in their life and see the eternal truth.
When you say you appropriate? Where do you get this feeling? If you observe them both, they both have some degree of sameness or union. The thing is, Sadhguru tackles a broad aspect while JK is purely intellectual. Both teachings can be used by someone to improve their functionality in this world. When you go to the kitchen, you don't have a single absolute tool to use in every type of work. You use knife, chopping board, fork, spoon, plates etc. Everything is incremental for you to come at a stage where you have to eat and this becomes your body.
@shobhit thapliyal why do you guys get this feeling that Sadhguru is downplaying JK? I listen to them both. I use their both wisdom. Does JK need protection from you or even his followers? If you've read and listen to JK, why have this feeling that his principle is being trampled by Sadhguru?
I teach the violin. The greatest challenge is to 'reduce' the student to pure inner attention (where the senses aim at a perfection of awareness which then, in turn, guides the movements or actions previously explored as natural gift) - to reduce all the distractions. It is an ongoing experience which, after a number of years of this they may, and occasionally do 'get it'! I read Krishnamurti and hear this very same process, this attempt to bring the listener into an awareness of life. He beats down their intellectual pride and processes with superior intellect and then builds up a potential so that there is only a living experience of life left! I listen and learn.
The Telugus have reached a pitiful stage. They've split up their state, and now Andra may have three capital cities. What a joke of a people they have become. Speaking of JK how about this, If you ask them who Nagarjuna is, the first thing they will tell you is that he is an actor. SMH

No one wants to say anyone superior to himself. After all, sadhguru has too accomplished a lot.
Yes, that is the crux of the matter 🤣
@shobhit thapliyal true.

Exactly! thank you
Yes, please stop the background music, it's distracting and pointless, we want to hear Sadhguru clearly!!
Yes please
Or make two versions, 'cause YES it's distracting!
Please listen to vivek.
Jiddu Krishnamurthi is an highly evolved soul.

JK shares the same soul as you and me

JK's lectures were my first introduction to reflection and freedom
There are many higher levels, Falun Dafa
"The crisis - is a crisis in consciousness, a crisis that cannot any more accept the old norms. Man is still, as he was, brutal, violent, aggressive, competitive, and he has built a society along these lines”
These are the first words by Krishnamurthi I came across while listening to an obscure Italian metal band "Novembre". The song is called Umana if someone is interested. Namaskaram 🙏🏼
Yes, man is that way, until he finds God.
A guru talking about Krishnamurti: if he agrees with Jiddu he's contradictory, if he doesn't, well, listen to what Jiddu has to say about gurus and you will understand why.
You got nothing from him if you say he was against
Guru-the guy who spread light in darkness-spiritual teacher.
Saying all gurus are bad are like saying engineers are bad or all teachers are bad.
It's just a word for spiritual teacher and jk was talking about guru in western context not about real meaning.
I will say that jk himself was a guru.
@@abhisheksinghbhadoriya1926 Oh yes he did. He denied the impact of simply being could be teaching and preferred the impact of teaching a "method". My perspective, it is about the fact that the greatest master is not defined by the number of pupils but by the number of masters he is "producing". So it is a question of perspective and the saying of sadhguru "he was a flower and while alive you could smell his fragrance but it is gone now" is a judging. I don't see it that way and it is sad that he is in need of judging another teacher like that. Must be some kind of psychological need for. Maybe Sadhguru should listen carefully to Krishamurti.
@@swapnilchaudhari9545 Guru is not teacher, spiritual or otherwise. And spirituality is not anything to be taught which requires a teacher.
@@abhisheksinghbhadoriya1926 hahaha...you got the point...a whole lot of westerners got entangled in mental gymnastics and his anti Indian attitude was the main attraction. The moment he said no guru...the ones who accepted his claim actually made him their master 😃
The simple thing is if they believe what ever JK says must be true..then he is their prophet.
We in India are all so blessed to have had....

I was very fortunate to meet Jk in person in Uk…He was a beautiful person…
Krishnamurti made people think and look within, to be their own light. He wanted man to be set absolutely free. He abhorred Preist, Gurus and organised religion for thousands of years of conditioning. Alas, people want to hold on to their identity and quick fix solutions.
Very rare people see through this... Very rare people go beyond words and image
True
Are you talking about UG krishnamurti not J krishnamurti?

I am from madanapalle I will visit JK born place. The school which sadguru is mentioned is Rishivalley which is near Madanapalle
@Noob...Woow.. Good to meet a fellow Madanapalle ite virtually. Sadly we've moved out. But as they say we can take Indian out of India but not India out of Indian.. I would draw the analogy to and also fill it up with Madanapalle😊😊.. Im glad we lived in Court Ramachari Veedhi(street) for a little while parallel lane to Sri.Jiddu Krishnamurthy's lane. Sadly not great importance attributed to this place whereas a legend like Bruce Lee also followed him it seems. I'm glad Sri.Jiddu Krishnamurthy started the imminent Rishi Valley School close to his birth place, Madanapalle.
May the grace of Krishna ji guide all of us during this challenging times 🙏🏼
He most certainly was not that powerful, Falun Dafa is.
J. K still remains with us or leaves is not important. He never gave himself that importance and never took the position of authority. His essence is in his teachings. These teaching are not just the pile of books, you can not find anything out of that bookish knowledge. His teaching are in the reflection upon one's own life which is full of life always.
This understanding is not the intellectual dissection like the dissection of a dead body but the silent revelation of the beauty called 'the truth' with which comes love, compassion and intelligence.
His teachings are as lively as a beautiful fragrant flower, as beautiful as the silence untouched by the thought.
Beautifully Written. :)
I don't see you contradicting Sadguru.
agree
He taught a form of Zen which is a very very slow path. Take a look at Falun Gong, absolutely wonderful.
No need for such despair Sadguruji, I am sure there are many people who understood JD. Just the comments on this video itself reflects people's understanding, in my opinion 🙂. Maybe at your level you expect people to understand more. 🙏
My humble request, Sadhguru followers, just one time read ,j.k book freedom from the known, thanks 🌹
Lethika Naga ..bro/sis ....its one nd unique ..all i could read 4 to 5 thousands ..One need not to read else to gain if it is studied..💞💞💞
i agree. if one read it he/she will see everything very clearly, but one has to be very serious about it.
They dont read, because they are superstitious.
Lethika Naga: In my view, his best book was 'The First and Last Freedom'. Originally published in 1954 with a comprehensive foreword by Aldous Huxley, it was instrumental in broadening Krishnamurti's audience and exposing his ideas.
I read and am reading JK books, many things of JK and Sadhguru are similar, however JKs path is very very very tough to follow, however even if we implement small portions of them, we can get tremendous benefits in our life.
My life's door was open, and Krishna Murti stepped in.He's no guru, but a caring Father.
Sadguru Ji, JK, fragrance are still in the air. His true comparison is still helping a lot of people. His videos, audios and books are the great gift to humanity.
People who still follow gurus seem like have failed to grasp Krishnamurthis teaching
The teacher deciple relationship is the core of Sanatan Dharma.
It's said without guru you can't gain any knowledge.
But it's also said not every teacher is qualified to be a guru. If you get a true guru you are very lucky.
@@beastbeautybiker6656 can there be a greater guru than Sidharta Gautam Buddha and he said that each must work for its own Nirvana. A guru can only show you the door. He can't get you through the door. You are the one who has to do that.
@@pandaprrr995 that's true. But it was not easy for him also. He was clueless for years.
@@pandaprrr995 that's what sadhguru say...your life is your karma ...your guru can't do anything but guidance
According to Sadguru a Guru can be your torch light in the dark but you need To find your own path . In this culture it is believed that your mother is your first Guru . Also one may not be beside you but if you feel guided by anybody at any point In your life you already have a guru . It need not always be a spiritual Guru . Even those who are born enlightened like Sri Krishna himself took Rishi sandipani as his guru . Taking up a Guru often also means giving up on your ego . You may be far more intelligent / knowledgeable than your Guru , but just by admitting one as a guru you have weakened your ego already . Once that happens your mind is free for learning process maybe by yourself without guidance .
JK's teachings are very pure without any knowledge to cling. It is hard to get them, but once you get them his teachings change your life, if u are very serious for it.
His teachings can only take you so far, Falun Gong can take you all the Way.
@@jeffforsythe9514 not really, that's just another mystical school. there are many. all roads lead to the same destination
The fragrance of Krishnamurti is such that I developed an intense practice of trataka and meditation leading to being able to perceive the pranic aura just by simply following a yoga asana pocket book he wrote. Then there were no gurus in the country I lived who could teach pranayama or meditation. I went on to a deeper practice of asanas and meditation for decades...Sadhguru thank you for this lovely insight into Khrisnamurti.
this particular discourse about JK by SG drips of some inner emotions of SG. JK is JK and Sadhguru style is apt for many seekers of his time. JK is profound and his influence everlasting.
I've loved Krishnamurti's thoughts and questions since I was a college student. How sweet!
@Peter Peddinti i am lost? what does your reply has to do with the comment?
"...a perfect teacher for the world"...an IMPERFECT world. When I say 'world', I don't mean 'planet'...the planet is fine.
Thumbs up for JK I love him …
A genius of a man.
I don’t agree at all his teachings will survive he was more insightful than sadhguru will ever be.
There are no comparisons between gurus or being, they have enlightened through different paths, they share their ways
So, you've basically just said Sadhguru is incapable of growth. What you're expressing is contempt. Seems rather odd for someone who purports to be familiar with the teachings of J Krishnamurti.
Indeed
You completely missed JK's point🤦🙊
Why we needs to say guru
Nice introduction of J.K. Those who are interested to read J.K.'s book, the best book of J.K. is " First and last freedom"
I don't class myself as an intellect atall, but all I know is that Krishnanurti's work has moved me to tears and has had a profound and lasting impact on my life and I never spent time around him, he was before my time. It took earnestness and a real love of truth from deep inside of me, to continue to read and listen until I fully started to understand. He was an incredible human being and his teachings were not out of reach to the oridinary person, who is in love with seeking truth. I wholeheartedly disagree with Sadghuru on this, from my own experience. Krishnamurti spoke from his soul, I can feel it when listening to him all these years after he passed away.
That's true.❤
Please, stop quoting me - JK.
😆😅😆😅
After listening for few minutes I found he is very loving. When I walk in his way I started to understand n useful
He means j Krishnamurthy
Thankyou for giving direction to parents.....as to best way to educate children......if I think I guessed right you meant Rishi valley school.
In fact Kahlil Gibran said: When he entered my room I said to myself, 'Surely the Lord of Love has come'
He might spoke about K not once.
The fragrance of Jiddu is still here you just can't smell it my dear... ;D
It's better to propose the solution to smell the fragrance rather than pointing out the fact that others can't do the same my dear.
EDIT: Plus ,if the fragrance is only available to certain parties then practically the fragrance don't exist. Now we are done.
@@phoenixj1299 great
@@phoenixj1299 Not it is not, because it was a reply to the saying of Sadhguru. Cantastorie was just taking him by his own words. It is Sadhguru who said th fragrance was smelled during lifetime of JK but now it is gone. And so if the fragrance is still there it must be Sadhguru's choice (?) not to smell it. There was no exclusion of certain groups of people who are not able to smell it because they are not supposed to, but as you say there might be some who are blind to the truth. Now we are done. ;)
