What a fantastic exhibition - this came across through your video. I just wanted to be there sketching all those amazing works. Those early wooden pieces, which Im not familiar with really captured my attention, as did the combination of wooden plinths and marble/stone/ bronze. Definitely worth the 9.5 out of 10.😊

Thank you for watching and yes - I am still buzzing from this show. The plinths, and how he seemed to give as much thought to them, was a real insight. The wooden works struck me as well - they seemed to be taking him back to his roots.

no surprise at your rave comment. every element of Brancusi carries immense truth. Can’t beat a bit of pure form as seen thru your tinted spectacles!!

I really agree with that - pure form can be so satisfying . I didn't go to the last show in London (twenty years ago!) so this was such a treat. Thank you very much for watching.

@@artgalleryexplorer it’s a privilege to have your genuine thoughts and films. As someone who can’t go to these exhibitions for reasons of having to care for an elderly family member your love for art allows me to attend some great shows vicariously and to have that little freedom. So many thanks!

He was fascinated by the form of aerodynamica. The flow of air that shapes the world.

Yes - and spent a lot of time rearranging the works in his later years, partly for this purpose.

Excellent presentation. Thoughtful, and well paced, no rush, plenty of time and space to take it all in .Nothing really wrong with some "underexposure". The true seekers will find their treasure wherever it is hidden. Love the Jazz trumpet. What pieces are you playing?

Thank you for watching and for your kind comments. The Jazz piece is from Epidemic Sounds.

I tried to put in some pieces that Brancusi would have have actually listened to but would have got a copyright strike! Music played a bit of a part in the exhibition.

Wonderful to see but I wish you’d given us information on the materials of the sculptures - concrete? Stone? Plaster? Clay? And what metals were used in the metallic pieces. Not too helpful for those of us studying sculpture. But lovely to look at.

Sorry - I should have done that as so many different forms were used. Apologies.

Very glad you are here as always, James! I tweaked the name of the channel to better explain what I am about.
