Assassin's Creed Mirage Gameplay Looks Great But I'm Concerned

- Assassin's creed mirage was announced almost a year ago and we finally saw some actual gameplay.
Unfortunately the gameplay trailer gave me hope but also reminded me that this is ubisoft.
The trailer was cool but doesn't show what assassin's creed will be in the future.
These are my thoughts on Assassin's Creed Mirage and the future of Assassin's Creed In general

Forgive me but I’m still hyped for no more rpg gameplay and back to a middle eastern period
it's still gonna be rpg gameplay but only set in a denser environment. Basically a mix of valhalla and origins, set in iraq
Oh mate I’m still hyped to see if this really is a return to old assassins creed but some of the comments did mention this was meant to be dlc so I have to see a demo. The trailer was cut up and really hid how the game will actually play but I guess that’s what it’s supposed to do? Who knows but I get ya Dennis :)

Ubisoft is gaming's fast food. Nice in small doses. If people play one Ubisoft game after the other it could be bad to your health.
Also I'm surprised you still haven't tried out Immortals Fenyx Rising. It must be one of their best games of the last few years.

Immortals Fenyx Rising is not great by any means. It's just meh.
This is all down to peoples expectations, this started as Valhalla DLC. They said Parkour Inspired by Unity not Unity’s parkour system. Back to roots means a shorter 20 hour game in one city with assassins as the focus.
I do agree with you but if the original plan was too make it a dlc it should of stayed a dlc rather than trying to sell people on a brand new experience if that isn’t what this is. Especially for £50
Imagine an assasins game in medieval serbia where you kill the Sultan in the end your name is revealed as mysterious "Miloš Obilić"

Once I saw that they told fans to preorder before actually showing gameplay already concerned me. Great video!!

For me it's still more of the same, the parkour looks the same as that of the RPG saga (Origins, Odyssey, Valhala) Only that being in a big city give it a little different "vibe", but in itself it looks the sme. I see that the level system is still there and the vision of the eagle (with the eagle) too. Not to mention the "Autosolve" ability where you can teleport killing enemies in stealth (taking away all the fun of doing it on your own). Honestly my hype went from heaven to the ground. I feel like it's all a hoax to recover a bench of classic fans so they can continue doing whatever they want with the saga.
Sucks because I hoped that they would create a game where parkour is a challenge for the player (as in ac1, 2 or unity), where one had to see where to go, it's not that he ran ahead of everything and the palyer would simply climb forward as it happens in the last games. You had to see the environment and know how to escape or climb. The eagle (with the eagle) system already seems exhausting to me, it was innovative in Origins but it no longer has much more to give and the truth is that it contributes almost nothing. The level system takes all the fun out of the game, since it takes away the meaning of stealth, what's the point of doing a stealthy mission, if when we want to kill the target he's going to survive and unleash an open fight? It is absurd that he survives a stab wound to the neck just because he has a higher level. So there are many things that really should change to progress and I see it very far from doing so in this game.
im concerned about ac mirage because i hate RPGs and AC is my favorite game franchise I hope Ubisoft wont let us down

i think Ubisoft being a massive company hinders their ability to experiment and innovate. too many cooks, too many at stakes if the game does not work out. etc.
that is why you see most of the innovation in the gaming industry are being made in the indie space.
Very very true. I still expect some innovation but Ubisoft do have trouble managing all these studios they have that have tons of developers working on a single project. That’s not mentioning the workplace culture problem that was swept under the rug
Had a great time with the Arkham origins stream and also i hope to god that this game isn't plagued with god awful tailing missions and modern day bullshit
dont know about tailing missions but apparently the modern day bullshit is pretty minimal, a little at beginning and end. i think there might be a tailing mission or two bcs i think i read somewhere that the main targets you assassinate you have to investigate them like in ac1

Yea, looks generic as far as the enemies go, the graphics don't look great, and it seemed like they were hiding actual gameplay with he way the trailer was made. Just gonna be more of the same and there's no way in hell I'm paying $70 for it
I think it will be £50 if I remember correctly but they shot themselves in the foot saying it was meant to be dlc. Will be a hard sell without a proper gameplay demo which we should get next month… I hope
not to be rude or anything, but in my opinion ubusoft only showed a gameplay trailer and not a gameplay because they wanted to show it at their show, to get more views and attention. maybe i'm wrong, but that's my opinion (and i think they're right)
It's basically Valhalla with a AC1 skin.
It’s possible but I do want to see a gameplay demo. I do think they’ve done more than a reskin but maybe I have too much faith

AC1 was ok, but it got a bit boring. AC2 is when the the series took off.

If I said shit it was the wrong word, I was disappointed at first cause I imagine a very different direction for the gameplay but in hindsight as a sequel it looks solid. Just not that next gen experiance it was hyped to be but we will see

Ubisoft is nowhere close to Sony and they dont make money which is why they cancelled a bunch of games and are scaling back do desearch before just talking absolute bs my god
I was mainly talking about the budget these Ubisoft games get. Sure it may not be super close to PlayStation but they’ve still made billions over the years
I stopped buying ubisoft games after 2018 don't want any of there copy and pasted trash anymore, all there games are all the same with so little new or they seen it from other games.
No matter what they do, y'all won't still be satisfied
