What's the Difference between an Atari 2600 Heavy Sixer and Light Sixer?

    Some heavies are made in Taiwan and I think Hong Kong. And some lights were made in Sunnyvale.

    Medium sixer? Never heard of that before. Light Sixer is the term collectors have used for decades.

    Very good comparison I thought I had the heavy sixer but sadly I don't it's the light but I did get it for free so it's not a total bust thanks for clarifying when I read Sunnydale California on the label I thought owe boy then I did some research and found out they made the light sixer in Sunnydale as well, but after cleaning I have an Atari with the original box two sets of controllers in original box as well for free not a bad deal

      why would it be a total bust to own the light sixer? they are the same thing

      I too have a light sixer. They're still good solid machines, though I intend to mod mine. Firstly, the power plug using an exposed jack is on the more dangerous side. I may do something about that. Secondly, I think I'll cut the RF cable and install a jack so that cord can actually be removed. I do have to admit I like the curve on the front of the heavy though.
