Dam! Old school! Love it.
"Power on", "oh hello!" - it lives! Of course it needs opening up, stripping and cleaning out. It sure looks original inside. The RF shielding in the atari consoles and 8 bit computers is just insanely big.
nice vid mate i remember when my father came from work he bought one too bad i dont have it anymore
I heard you like Atari 2600s... :D
4:33 Atari-Wong ... I wonder if Wong was the same Wong Electronics that assembled Acorn machines for the Asia-Pacific market (BBC Model B, Electron) in the mid '80s?
Unfortunately, I’m pretty sure that’s not a heavy sixer. The surround to the case is too thin, and I’m sure the heavy sixer’s were all made in Sunnyvale, California
Not all of them. Towards the end of 1977, some heavy sixers were made in Taiwan. Old stock.
Mad Jack Hist , true , but the surround is still not thick enough to be a heavy sixer
@@Dweller777 yeah this is a light sixer model. Still awesome lol The heavy sixers are a bit larger, weigh more and the bottom half border of the console is thicker. Great video!
Not a "heavy sixer." The heavy one has much thicker plastic around the edges.
Thats a light sixer.
i was hoping it was a heavy sixer, but im learning. still, its a lovely example of one.
@@R_T_Ralph Yeah, but personally the light sixer looks cooler than the heavy sixer because of the more sharp edges. good luck finding a heavy sixer one day!
It is NOT a Heavy sixer!!!
i know, but i was hoping at the time
