Hey Russell, Keith over in Snellville.. enjoyed the video! Couple tips, on the spark plug, unless your elctrode is worn down dont buy new plugs. Put your plug in a vise and take a torch and get the end almost cherry red then take a small wire brush and simply brush the ash away. Re-gap and its as good as new. You can also do the same thing with the arrestor screen. Saves you a few bucks. Have a great day!

Was wondering if you got the issue fixed. If not I would replace the tank vent before replacing the carb. Depending on how much fuel is in the tank, it will start leaning out and bogging after time if the vent is not working properly.

Would rolling the machine 1/4 turn so the exhaust is facing up allow the screen to stay in place when you re-assemble?

I have a PAS2620 that would fouled plugs after a while, leaned her up a fuzz and the plug is carmel color now. I did the work myself, didnt want to deal with the warrenty headache with not running echo oil. Even when it was running well the plug was black before the adjustment. At the time was running saber 80:1 and have now switched to 40:1 saber; I switched well after the carb adjustments the plug color stayed the same, (ran it for close to 3 years at 80:1, but more oil isn't going to hurt the bottom end IMO and I dont want to replace the unit).

    Good job. Easy fix.
I'd be interested in how you like to remove the plastic plugs that cover the carb adjustment screws that Echo installs on the factory carbs.

The carbs on the 2620 series do not have the plastic plugs like the 225. It takes a special “micro d” tool that is available in the aftermarket. I got lucky and was able to buy the Echo set of adjustment tools about 4 years ago for my 2620 trimmer and blower.

Don’t overlook the tank vent, although this seems like carb adjustment to me.

Who sales the Amsoil Saber oil and who sales the small screens?

Amsoil sells Amsoil Sabre. Echo sells the screens.
