Do you think I have enough firewood for the winter? First I thought about building a standard firewood shed but I came across these traditional round firewood stacks in Sweden and wanted to try it out. They are great if you don't have a shed and you only need what is naturally found in the forest. I used a tarp under the wooden shingels, bark and moss just to not risk having wet firewood when the winter comes. But traditionally they would just split the firewood in the forest and use a bunch of bark and moss to cover it with. Today some people love the look of a round firewood stack, so to make it easier they use wooden pallets for the foundation and just a tarp to cover it with. I would definitely say that stacking firewood in a shed is much faster and more convenient, but I like the look of this one more than a shed at the log cabin. What do you think? Should I build a firewood shed next year or keep doing these? The outdoor gym is something I also have wanted to do. I thought about only using wood but settled on metal bars. This meant that it would be the first time on the channel that I use power tools. But I think it was worth it for the durability and stability of the gym. I am going to start making new wooden products this winter, before Christmas. The store has been out of stock now for a while when doing everything on my own. In the future I hope to expand my small one man business and hire some passionate people to come and help me craft these wooden products. Thank you for reading this small update and to all my viewers! You make this possible!
If I ever have land, an outdoor gym for calisthenics and a small obstacle course for running, jumping and balance is definitely something I’d want. Metal bars are a necessity though for an outdoor or indoor gym! Although an outdoor obstacle with metal bars would definitely need to be kept 100% dry after rainy or misty days, as to not fall and break the neck haha Besides that I’ve always wanted to make a redbrick chicken coop since eggs and chicken are so expensive.
Very much like the rond form. But to use the wood, you would need to break the formation, so maybe a shed would be better. This wood will be too young and green anyway, it will need to lay for a year at least….
Can we all take a second to acknowledge that Erik is not only working hard but he is also thinking like a director , choosing camera angles, creating a story within each moment, capturing sound , animals, ambience and then putting it all together like a masterpiece for the future. This dude is complete. All hail Erik! 🙌🏻
And don't forget, he and the dog are also acting in the depiction of their lives. These characters are just as interesting as ones that Leo DiCaprio and a dog actor would be playing in a movie, but it's the real deal!
It's honestly what made me Sub 2 years back. I remember watching one of the cabin builds twice because of how well it was shot. I gained a whole new perspective on his channel.
I watched your latest film today with my six-year-old granddaughter. She couldn't be dragged away from the computer and watched breathlessly. She didn't know your films, but now she wants to see all of your films and she told me that she thinks it's great. Great Erik, everything you do and have done.

Always look forward to a new upload Erik. The firewood dome and gym both look awesome! I don't feel using the power tools is a big deal because the house was the main project by hand and you did that just as you said you would. Wish you luck on getting a crew together to help with getting your products up and running again. All the best to you my friend!
Hi! Thank you for the thoughts on the power tools. I think so too. Yes I hope to have some locals come and work part time this winter to launch some new handmade wooden products. I want to keep the business small scale and made here with high quality of course. Wish you the best!
I love how you are so multi-talented, it's rare. All your construction work, the engineering part that's involved, the perfect camera work ... Your films truly are a treat, I can't wait to see your next project.
Hi, Erik. Today I've finished watching all of your videos, they're amazing, thank you for them. In this one I thought that you're building a shed, turned out to be a gym. I think there is an opportunity to make a new video. You could build a shed and make a video about it, or build one a little bit further from your house if you don't like the look of it in your house area. Shed is a good thing. You can store your firewood in it and tools, that you don't need often or just don't want to have in your beautiful house. A chamber to store your hunted meat, hunting trophies, lumber for next projects etc. Shed in one end, sauna at the other. It would be comfy if u have to travel a lot to your sauna. Lots of possibilities, great future videos. It is great to have more space with a roof to place your stuff. Thank you for doing what you're doing and sharing it with others. It is inspiring. Do as much of this wildlife as you can, later one you will have less time for it, family issues, work, less strength etc. When I was around 20, I used to work quite a lot with an axe as a hobby. The reason why I used it was I did'nt know how to sharpen my handsaw and we did not have a good one either. Why I did not use chainsaw? Because when I was 14, I almost cut my arm with it, I got lucky, little wound, little scar to remember it. Didn't touch the damn thing for almost 20 years. I'm 35 now and only last year I started using it. Learning to use it. Kind of dumb reason and situation, but it was my main reason to use an axe. It is a great tool, it can be dull as possible, but with a young man's strength you can chop anything with it and make a lot of work, very versatile tool. I developed some skills with it which I am proud of. I have my favorite one. Seeing your videos I was amazed with your skills, with all your beautiful axes and tools, with your log cabin, the beauty of nature in your country and the amazing style and quality of the video editing. Seeing your skills mine feels weak but it brings back memories of this primal feeling when you are young and strong, can make a lot with your strength and only a few hand tools. Enjoy this time in your life, use it well, don't take it for granted. Greetings from Lithuania
Project suggestions; * A deck out side the door. Maybe add steps & storage underneath. * A (maybe movable?) rack for the hand tools leaned against the wall. * A workbench for your production projects.
Well done, Erik, well done! I've never seen a firewood dome until now, what a novel yet useful idea! I get the impression that you are looking, working to preserve or resurrect old, traditional crafts and techniques, I bet your grandparents must be proud of you. You are truly an inspiration to many; I hope there are youths in Sweden who will find inspiration to do follow in your pursuits. Cheers, dude!
I remember ❤when you were just a teen. You put up a tent and went to work! You trekked for miles to get to your future cabin site though every season for years. I always marveled how your skill level was so exceptional!!

Thank you so much! It means the world to me when someone appreciates and notices the extra effort I put into every detail in the video and that I finally think I have my own style in videography. I really try to plan out a ruff story before I start filming. But there is SO much footage that is cut out just because it doesn’t add much to the progression of the story. Eric, speaking as an arborist, you gave my greatest admiration for the way you dismantled that faller by hand. It`s hard work. I saw the spring back coming, thankfully you did`nt get hit. Your set up is amazing, keep up the good work.
As someone who's done their fair share of manual labor, it's very inspiring to see another embracing a great effort and getting the job done! Young people get a bad rap for being lazy and wimpy and in many cases this is true (although I blame those who raised them). Great video! I love that there is no narrative... allows me to exercise my imagination!
So good to see you again! Love your newest projects. You are very creative. Thank you again for bringing us into your country and into your life!❤. Love it all and your pup, as well! Looking good 😊

Hi Erik, it has been a while since viewing a new video fromm you. Got caught up in all the crazy happenings in the world. Finally decided that I really needed some peaceful, nature time and found this videeo of yours. What a blessing😊. Both you & your faithful pup look great and your beautiful log home is fantistic. The firewood dome is fantistic looking as is a regular firewood shed, so why not have both?!😊 It is so fun to watch both you a you "furbaby" jump into the lake after a hard days work.....fun & refreshing! The Gym area looks great. Watchinng your channel is very peaceful for me...Thank you and God bless from Washington State, USA 😊❤😊
Good to see you again brother. I made a round stack a couple of years ago when my woodshed was full. I rigged a flying tarp over it, and was able to pull from it just like a shed. I cut my wood by hand one year. That would be over fifty years ago. Crazy hard. Thanks for sharing your work and place with us!
Erik, it is good to see You are using tools in your crafts... Keep Up the good work. Have a great and Blessed Day amigo. From Panama City, Panama... All the BEST to You and Your family.
Love watching you making things pretty much all by hand. I particularly loved the shingle-splitting tool. Never seen anything like that before, a beautiful tool.
Nice job on the Holzhausen! Very effective way to stack firewood that doesn't take up nearly as much space as laterally stacking multiple rows. Good stuff!
I've watched you from your beginnings on building the cabin...and it's always a pleasure! I view it as Incredible! People keep questioning 'why build the workout equipment' because of how much you already work??? I understand completely, as working will maintain a certain level of fitness, for sure...but actually "working out" with equipment and weights, etc., will better hit all the body parts to the degree that a real fitness buff (pardon the buff pun) needs to look his aesthetic best! Building your dwelling the way you want it is one thing, but the house you really live in is your own physical body, so build it just as well! Take Care Bro! 💪🔥💪
your nature shots are so well set up Eric, i am surprised you not been snapped up by a tv channel to cover nature programs loving the pointer, missing my own, was such a cuddly friend to have round the wood pile is a work of art as i expect from you, and the outdoor gymnasium is pretty epic, you can work some of those pounds off bless
I was just about thinking about you yesterday and how you've been. Glad you're still sharing your videos. They used to calm me during the pandemic. haha
You are such a strong, creative and patient man. I started watching you when you were a teenager. It’s been fun watching your channel and I always look forward to a new video. I’m really curious as to how you remove the firewood throughout the winter without it collapsing or the center wood from falling out. Thanks for sharing your adventures.
I was so glad when I stumbled upon your channel. Getting the feeling of connection to nature, especially at moments when I got sucked into life away from it for too long. Maybe this is why I don’t enjoy seeing the use of power tools and modern accessories as much, but that’s a small price to pay to be able to see such inspiring and relaxing content. Cheers, Erik!
When you put up those logs I was wondering what it is supposed to become. First guess: Some sort of tree house. Second guess after seeing those cross bars: A place to hang up and work hunted game. It's nice to not mention what happens. Keeps the excitement up !
You are so talented. Would love to see you design and build your own small kitchen area across from fireplace and design and build a front porch. Now that you have lots of wood for the winter, time to work on the inside of cabin too:) ❤ from 🇨🇦
Your talent in video-making is on a par with your artistry in wood. The round firewood dome looks superb but maybe it would be more practical in future to have a firewood shed. You could always do an exhibition firewood dome from time to time. Maybe after the log store you could do a sauna?
1:38 - you Built your cabin when you were 17? You Are Gifted!! I was a teacher - now retired, but I watch you, and you are just a natural at all this. Your channel is doing well. ( : Ok, blessings to-ya. I subbed.
I would love to see eric make a little bee colony, not only for a great addition to the underground Fridge but also some homemade testo boost for that gym, keep up the good work

What an excellent finishing
Good to see you again. Your environment is so completely different from where I live, but still lots of challenges. Cheers!
you are the Master.💪 best fra Danmark😊
It's always good to have a new video from you Erik!
My favourite asmr channel :)
Good guy!
A huge congratulations on your subs!!! Way to go!
Wishing you the very best in all you do & most importantly - staying healthy!!
your nature shots are so well set up Eric, i am surprised you not been snapped up by a tv channel to cover nature programs
loving the pointer, missing my own, was such a cuddly friend to have round
the wood pile is a work of art as i expect from you, and the outdoor gymnasium is pretty epic, you can work some of those pounds off
bless
Great job ..........a home made gym.........you got a great workout just building it.
Otroligt snyggt jobbat, Erik!
I like the round build for storage of the wood for winter. I do like your gym you have built Erik. Have a lovely day.
Holz hausen! I learned about those in the 90s and they work incredibly well for drying out split wood.
I really like the way you share your knowledge on how to build a wood dome. I will definitely try it in my house.
I was just about thinking about you yesterday and how you've been. Glad you're still sharing your videos. They used to calm me during the pandemic. haha
Super cool Erik! You'll for sure have enough wood for a long time! Good work as always.
Bravo Erik❤
Another awesome video! Love the guest appearance of the fox at 34:08 checking out the gym.
Wow at the wood, great job 👏👍 like your dog 😮
Natur, Perfektion, Stille, Harmonie, Erik. Danke für deine tollen Videos. Grüße aus Zingst
That’s a beautiful forest.
You are so talented. Would love to see you design and build your own small kitchen area across from fireplace and design and build a front porch. Now that you have lots of wood for the winter, time to work on the inside of cabin too:) ❤ from 🇨🇦
The hard work reflected your bodyshape, you looks so nice or inshape!👌👌👌😋🦝
Amazing work. You are really talented and extremely hardworking. Absolutely incredible.❤
wow fantastic
Good to see you back Erik. I like the part where you woke up and immediately grabbed the axe to get back to work. Be safe out there man!
Muitos agissem como vc o mundo seria melhor boa saude ffeliz vc ja e
One log at a time Erik from the beginning man! Just awesome 🤩
Your talent in video-making is on a par with your artistry in wood. The round firewood dome looks superb but maybe it would be more practical in future to have a firewood shed. You could always do an exhibition firewood dome from time to time. Maybe after the log store you could do a sauna?
Amazing, always a pleasure to watch, inspiring Erik!
1:38 - you Built your cabin when you were 17?
You Are Gifted!!
I was a teacher - now retired, but I watch you, and you are just a natural at all this.
Your channel is doing well.

Ok, blessings to-ya.
I subbed.
always calming to watch your vids, stay safe bro.
Bello ed interessante, bravissimi🐺
Thank you so much. I’ll just watch for them to come back and get me one.
Didn’t Dictator Putin shut down UA-cam in Russia?
Good to see you back, Erik. Very interesting structure for your fire wood, have never seen one like that before. Other than corn cribs, that is.
I would love to see eric make a little bee colony, not only for a great addition to the underground Fridge but also some homemade testo boost for that gym, keep up the good work
You are amazing….unique!!!!!!
Nice to see you again🌟🫶🌟
