Searching 3 Boxes of Quarter for Silver, 2019 W's and any Errors or Varieties. I never get much luck when I coin roll hunt quarters... Yet, I still love the anticipation of opening those orange striped rolls and looking for silver. I have put off hunting quarters often (although I do look through one box per week) since my luck with them is terrible... but figured I stay focused on my quest for more silver and some more 2019 W Quarters. In this video, I'll open up 3 boxes of quarters from different bank branches including Wells Fargo Bank and Bank of America in hopes of finding a 2019 W Quarter or at the least, landing another Silver Quarter or error/variety quarter of 2019. What do you prefer to hunt? Pennies, Nickels, Dimes, Quarters, Halves? What's your best score from a box of Quarters? Which of the "Big Banks" do you think gives up the best boxes? I hope you enjoyed the video! Some people paint a roll of quarters and spend them to see how many and how long it will take for them to come back into their possession. It may take a while, but it works!
Hey Rob! I’m Taylor, and we met at the Texas Numismatic Association show yesterday. I want to say hello and also want to say thank you for sharing your collecting experience with me. Happy hunting!
Great video. Love those silver quarters and that old school look to them. Nice varieties and those "W"'s...... Awesome stuff. Quarters finally paid off for you, love it.
Rob you won't believe it! I just got into coin roll hunting and the first half roll I hunted was all 40%ers from '69. It was a 20$ roll!!! Next time I got 50$ worth and found 8 1964 and 2 proofs!
Rob, the war in the pacific national historic park quarter from west point drops monday. There should be some in circulation from the 4th on. These will be selling like hotcakes the first 2 or 3 weeks. I can't wait to get a couple of boxes.
I dunno about from the 4th... takes about a week for the first ones to turn up after the release but depends on stock levels at the carriers. Also I've heard rumor from the mint they weren't happy with how the distribution was going and they've asked the armored carriers to further mix the new coins with circulated to spread out the Ws more to combat roll hunters getting too many Ws in one shot and selling them. Anyways. Yes June 3rd is the ship date from the mint for war in the Pacific quarters.
@@sparkyjones560 I usually hold a few days before buying my boxes, some banks order their change on monday or tuesday. and get it by wednesday or thrusday. By friday for sure there should be a couple of boxes hitting the banks. It really will be a race to find these within the first 10 days. But then again, not everyone can just go to the bank and drop several hundred dollars or a few thousands on quarter boxes so odds arent against you if you got resources.
Haven’t found any silver quarters or halves in rolls from my banks here in Canada. Have found some errors on halves of 1994. Plus some errors of 1980 dollar coins. Doubling errors.
I just bought 2 rolls of 2019-P AMERICAN Memorial Park quarters. First roll all P-mint and the second had 2 West Point Lowell quarters. Finally found my first West Point quarter.
I've been searching boxes but haven't found any Lowels Ws. Have 48 American Memorial Park Ws, but no Lowell Ws yet.... it's vexing. Seems like some areas are only Lowell Ws and some are only AMP Ws.
I think they should change the color of the quarter boxes to Black and White that way you won't feel so bad if you get skunked. LOL It's interesting that there is now some varieties in quarters it's almost like they intentionally made the mistakes but that's not true. another good video Rob thank you
Look it up. Visually there's differences. Easier to Google search "difference between double die and machine doubling" and see the pictures with the info than for someone to try to explain it without examples to show of the two.
Well.. Everything is easier to google by yourself. That is not the point. The point was to ask what I thought a relevant question in an open comment section to a respecter youtuber to perhaps get a response to a question people might have? So if you have nothing helpful to add I bid you a good day, evening or night wherever you may be in the world..
I don't think Sparky Jones was trying to be rude Guraniloth. More trying to explain to you that looking up a few articles with photo examples would be more helpful in showing the difference between the two types of doubling. It essentially comes down to this; double die is where the actual image on the die has doubling to it so every time it strikes a coin, the doubled image is created for all coins it is used on. With doubling in this variety, let's just pretend it's letters, the doubled images of the letters will look almost identical or as strong as each other on the coin. Machine doubling occurs when the die is not set up properly and moves or bounces during striking. Each coin machine doubled will vary slightly because this error occurs during the striking process but they are identified as more "flat or shelf-like" in appearance as in not identical to the part it is doubling or, the doubled part of the letters looks weaker. I also encourage you to Google some images for clarification because they are fun/interesting to look at. Maybe we can get Rob to do a special doubling informative video down the road with examples from his collection too!
Thanks for the video, how many silver have you found in quarter boxes? One video I thought you said you’ve hunted over 50 boxes and only found 4 silver. Just wondering what to expect when I hunt
Nice finds! Wow 2 silver quarters and West Point ! I found 2 silver quarters also this week 1964 and a standing liberty quarter dates worn off I think it’s 1920 something. 40 % box was Lowell but no West Point quarters. I hand picked 24 that didn’t have any noticeable scratches. Not sure if they’re worth keeping? Check my video for my 6 silver quarter finds for May!

I got $250 in uncirculated quarters at the bank and I got 22 W quarters in the rolls
Great video, as always
OMG that's crazy :D
Great video. Love those silver quarters and that old school look to them. Nice varieties and those "W"'s...... Awesome stuff. Quarters finally paid off for you, love it.
I really appreciate you showing us those machine doubling ones and not just the silver or W mint. Just cool to see different coins 👍🏼
Nice job Rob!
Thank you Gabe - BOOM! 💥

JD's Variety Channel Thanks brother - Quarters are killers but not always...
Haven’t found any silver quarters or halves in rolls from my banks here in Canada. Have found some errors on halves of 1994. Plus some errors of 1980 dollar coins. Doubling errors.
Awesome finds!
I’ve found 2 Lowell and 6 memorial West Point quarters. I flipped the 6 memorial on eBay for $220!
Because you don't plant ringers in you're rolls.
@@Mark-ce3gp why do you say that?
This was fun. I'm about ready to start hunting quarters. I've been doing pennies and halves for a long time. That was a cool '65. Happy hunting!

I found it in my last box but it was pretty beat up.
I think they should change the color of the quarter boxes to Black and White that way you won't feel so bad if you get skunked. LOL
It's interesting that there is now some varieties in quarters it's almost like they intentionally made the mistakes but that's not true.

Super great finds Rob!!! Keep up the good work!!)
nice find! Still looking for one, not searching through nearly as many coins though.
Wow, soo epic! I gotta get me a quarter box next week!
I wonder, what’s the difference between double die and machine doubling? How donyou know which is which?

"I dont kow whats even going on right now"
*gets ad*
Do you think there are still rolled w quarters still out there right now on July 4th or do I just have to get lucky?
_RyanDude_ Yes. You can still find new boxes but you’re likely going to be finding them in circulated boxes now too.
You don’t check the pa quarters for the same orientation front to back?
Silver! Great for quarters!
What is a lul quarter the ones that you were talking about in the video
He means a lowell quarter.
Rob, what book or list do you use for all the errors?
AG Chopsticks I use the strike it rich book listed in my video description.
Thanks Rob! My father in law has more or less a 3/5 full 5 gallon bucket he wants my help going through. Already found 7 Morgan/Peace.

Black Space it may be a silver rob has found some silver because they still make silver coins
CoolGaming YT I’ll have to weight it and see if it is.
Are you sure the 1959-d isn't a RPM? Looks like it under magnification.
Hey rob. Do you keep the lowell quarters or do you get rid of em later?
Rob, what is your best quarter box
Evan Yielding either box 2 or one I did a few hunts ago.
I'm sure this has been asked but where did you get that mat??
Great Vid, what brand and model is your microscope camera? Looking to get one myself and yours seems great. Thanks!
Why are silver quarters so hard to find?! I never find any yet I find a ton of 1965+. Maybe most silver has already been picked
Found 44, 2019-W ANP Quarters in just $400, from one bank.
Ibrahim Shah awesome!
My highest was 32 Ws from a $500 box. Before that it was 16 Ws from a $500 box.
You're lucky!
Have you ever found a silver proof or ender? Great hunt Rob! Would you find W ' s in the Redbook?
What is the value of the error coins you found?
Red paint
