In 2022, I brought a 2017 Mitsubishi outlander Sport AWD. I brought it for 15K with 71K on it. Now I have 105K in 2024. I love it. It's really reliable. I live in America.

Mitsubishis are very reliable. Very. After owning 6 Mitsubishis all purchased new I can say they have a simple reliable design, they use time tested and proven engines and features and have a long warranty. We have owned a 2015 Mitsubishi Mirage ES with a CVT, 2016 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport GT AWC with a CVT, 2017 Mitsubishi Mirage G4 SE with a CVT, two 2019 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross SEL Tourings with S-AWC and a CVT, and a 2021 Mitsubishi Mirage SE with a CVT. My Dad currently owns a 2020 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross SE with S-AWC and a CVT that he purchased new the beginning of 2021 and has had no issues, my Brother currently owns a 2017 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport SE 2.4L with AWC and a CVT that he purchased in 2020 with 46,000 miles on it and has had no issues, then my Sister had a 2018 Mitsubishi Outlander ES with AWC and a CVT and around 20,000 miles when she got it and she had it a few years with no issues. We had no issues with any of ours and our Eclipse Cross is now over 5 years old. If you take care of your vehicle and do on time oil changes and all maintenance then 90% of the time it will turn out to be a good vehicle. The Jatco CVTs had issues in the past many years ago especially more so in Nissans even though Mitsubishi uses the same transmission models by Jatco they have slightly different programming. Now I currently own a 2023 Nissan Kicks SR Premium with a CVT and its the same Jatco CVT-7 that is used in the Mitsubishi Mirage (2014-2024 USA-Canada) and the Nissan Versa (definitely 2020-2025 and I believe back even years further than 2020 as early as 2013) and it has proven to be a pretty good little CVT in the market if 30,000 CVT fluid flushes are done like you are supposed to. Same for the engine in the Mitsubishi Mirages a super basic old school Geo Metro style lol 3 cylinder. Its a 1.2L 3 cylinder naturally aspirated engine with 78 hrsp and 74 lb ft of torque (earlier versions 2014-2015 USA had 74 hrsp) and its so reliable and there is even one online with 414,000 miles traded to a dealer with the original engine and CVT that was driven for about 6 years before they got a 2020 Mitsubishi Mirage to replace it. Thats impressive for such a basic designed vehicle but the simplicity has meant few mechanical issues with them. But overall Mitsubishis are a very good basic reliable vehicle. Yes the Outlander Sport/RVR and Eclipse Cross use and older dated design but it makes them more reliable with bugs worked out. The Outlander Sport/RVR uses a 2.0L 4 cylinder and a 2.4L 4 cylinder that has been used by Mitsubishi for so long and man are they reliable. Even the Eclipse Cross coming out in 2018 uses a 1.5L TURBO 4 cylinder its based on the 4A9 engine which dates back to 2004! It was given some tweaks, updates and a turbo to be used for the Eclipse Cross. Personally ai like this. Toyota has always done this same thing using the same engines forever mostly all naturally aspired and look how reliable they are. Now take a look at Toyota the past couple years and their reliability has dropped considerably all due to new turbo engines in some of their vehicles and its really proving to be a problem in the Tundra, Tacomas. Its a shame for Toyota but I know emissions and MPG regulations make it so hard. But it goes to show old school time tested and proven basic engines fare far better.

Well said. I brought a 2017 Mitsubishi outlander Sport AWC in 2022. Mitsubishi had 71K, and now I have 105K on it. I traded my 2009 Honda Civic coupe LX that had 116K. I brought the Civic in 2016 with 71K on it. I brought the Mitsubishi Outlander Sport because I need more room. I live in America.

@@AutomotiveWoman The CVT Mitsu needs to get rid of, can’t stand it..
Also, Mitsu needs to Update this Model bad…other then that it’s a Reliable Vehicle that’s 100% Built in Japan which means Years upon Years of Reliability
