Just purchased a 2024 Honda HRV last week, the interior room is perfectly spacious for my family. I have no issue with it's lack of horsepower, it is still one of the most reliable and has one of the best safety features.
How is it on the highway? I'm considering either the HRV, Corolla Cross, or Crosstrek. We mostly use it for short city trips and errands, several day trips in the summer, and one annual longer road trip (for three passengers including one teen). I'm disappointed in the lack of an armrest or connectivity in the back of the HRV but it's not a deal breaker. Any opinions based on the above?
@@t.soares1125 I've been driving it for a while now and I have no issues driving it on a highway, I live in a suburb in illinois and I tried driving it to chicago few days ago, I mean even though it was a 2 hour drive, I did not experience any issues and driving was comfortable since I have a lot of leg room. I'm 5"10 by the way. Right now I don't have any problems with it. I mean I'm ok with it's horsepower compared to other SUVs, but the Safety features and interior space really suits our family of 4.
Fuel so far I'm at 27 mpg, driving is still good at 3k miles. Hrv vs CRV, if I have the budget I'll choose CRV, 😅😅 because it's bigger, but HRV is good too.

I love the cx30, there is just two of us and enough room to travel also, drives beautifully, lots of horsepower, standard AWD, great styling, easy to park, good safety warnings, we got the 2024 base model with all this and a beautiful interior for 26000. A incredible car at this price point.
I have a 2023 Mazda Cx-30 with 1500 miles and 8 months old.Its been in the dealership 5 times with a Battery Drain. They keep sending me home just recharging the battery after the 3rd time(I had the car towed 3 times to the dealership}Myself Mazda leaves a bad taste in my mouth,,,,I think Mazda has NO clue what the problem is and will charge the battery and send me home until the battery dies again......
I just got 2024 Hyundai Kona and I am so glad I got it. I drove BMW or Mercedes SUVs for so many years, last one being 2019 bmw 3x. I just can’t not believe how great Kona is in every way! I highly recommend to give a test drive before buying, you will save a ton of money and just as good or better car.
I rented one when I went home to visit my family a month ago….it felt and looked very cheap on the inside…the rear backup warning kept alarming when I was driving it down the road. Looked great on the outside but felt cheap on the inside…would not buy one.
Really enjoying my CX30 turbo premium. This vehicle is my commuter vehicle and I average 29.2 MPG. The drive is engaging. It is nice knowing I have the power to pass, merge, climb when needed.

The displays for the 2024 Crosstrek mentioned at about the 8:05 mark are incorrect. The base model comes with two 7.0 inch displays as standard. The premium, sport and limited models come standard with an 11.6 inch display. It is not an option. I'm loving my two week old, Subaru Crosstrek (base model).
The engine options was incorrect as well . The 2.0L is only available on the base and premium models, while the 2.5L is only available on the sport, limited, and wilderness models. Plus, all 2.0L models are still made in Japan, while all 2.5L models are now made in Indiana.
Actually, the Crosstrek is a quarter inch longer, and the wheelbase is 1 and a half inches longer, so it feels bigger in the passenger seats. The Corolla Cross is indeed wider by an inch and taller by 2 inches. It also has a bit more cargo space.
Nothing is 100% perfect but Honda has a good history or reliability and styling! I'm not sure which one I will get but there are pros and cons in all of them. Good Video!

Yep, my 2024 Cadillac XT4 (0-60 in 7 sec) is quicker than my 2014 Toyota Highlander (0-60 in 7.6 sec) that I traded in. XT4 also handles better too. I upgraded from a 2014 Toyota Highlander to a 2024 Cadillac XT4 this past weekend (the 2024 highlander drove the same and is pretty much the same chasis and interior so it's boring). The Cadillac XT4 has no turbo lag that I can feel. Every other car that I test drove had turbo lag, whether short or long...Mercedes GLC300 (least turbo lag), BMW X3 (a little more turbo lag), Porsche Macan S (even more turbo lag), Honda (way too much turbo lag). The Cadillac has these features that UA-camrs miss: - lighted logo behind the dashboard - pulsating safety seat (most cars only beep) - left behind child in the rear seat alert - capless fuel tank (like my 2017 Corvette C7 ) - umbrella storage in the doors (like Rolls Royce) - active noise cancellation (like my 2017 Corvette C7 with Bose) - power passenger seat with lumbar - free 5G hotspot - stop/start feature is the smoothest I’ve ever experienced that I don't even notice it. My other car is a 2017 Corvette Stingray in stickshift.
I needed a cross over for easier access and exit of this aged body. Not an easy move from a life of "exotic" vehicles. However age and common sense and the need not to have two money draining very low mileage cars on the drive meant a brain choice rather than heart. I chose a VW T-Cross and whatever critics say it is a great vehicle for my current needs with it's 1.5 ltr Turbo and auto box. The redesigned Crosstrek has a genteel ride quality, a host of standard features, a spacious cabin and - on the downside - a coarse and underpowered base engine. The Crosstrek costs a bit more than the Corolla Cross, at least in entry-level guise, though it includes standard all-wheel drive. I would be all over the CX-30 if not for the non-touch infotainment (the dial thing sucks) and the lack of rear seat and cargo space. Otherwise, it has the best ride and handling, the best interior, and good reliability!

All except Mazda have CVT transmission; Mazda has a real 6-speed auto. Reliability of CVTs is not good and they have poor driving experience. Wish auto companies would stop using them.
This channel must get perks from some of the automakers because this list is supposed to include reliable vehicles and you have a Kia which along with its parent company, Hyandai has a terrible track record for reliability across the entire brand line.
I am driving a 2022 Hyundai Kona ICE and would lease it again (yup, only keeping it for 36 months) so never had any issues with my current or my past 3 Hyundai leases. That being said, I want to go EV but since I cannot afford the prices, will instead look at the Corolla Cross Hybrid next year. Kona has a hybrid, but not for sale in the U.S. and Canada. Shameful! I love the "spaceship" design of the new Kona but when you add AWD to the Limited model (I'm driving my 2nd Limited Kona), it's almost $35,000!!! For that price, a hybrid is a better deal.
Has Subaru been doing anything different for their engines as far as design? Do they still use the flat 4 cylinder that is notorious for blown headgaskets at low mileage? Otherwise, they are great vehicles and fun to drive. Their 4x4 tech is amongst the best if not the best.
Wrecked my 2016 Legacy in an accident. It was 8 years old, had just over 100K miles and bought new. This car was reliable, plus got 35MPG on the highway. Never did more than recommended Subaru maintenance. Had battery problem but update fixed this. Never blew a head gasket, ran great, Eyesight worked great too. Bought a new Crosstrek Wilderness 4 days ago and love it so far. Currently, 6 Subarus in service in my family right now.
They noted here that reliability is the #1 concern and to plan on owing ot under its 10-year/100,000 mile warranty. I’m in the market and that’s my only concern.
I feel for the consumers that vested in Subaru. You have my deepest sympathies when it happens. The only nice thing about your Subaru is at 160k you’ll be really good at knowing what’s wrong with it and the small fortune it will cost to have it fixed.
Everything you showed in this video is beautiful and very nice cars but why are the ones they sell here in the Philippines so ugly? We can also afford to buy something like you showed.
i just bought a corolla cross and in power mode it is quick on acceleration up to about 80 km/h then it loses power again the revs go up a lot and makes a lot of noise. its not real power likea car with gears. the belt system really sucks. even an old two litre Toyota can kick the hybrids butt. its. do yourself a favor and stick with the old corollai f you can.
Have you really tested these cars or this is just a video based on articles and promos? The list is much bigger and you have concentrate don very few models
This is actually from a real Subaru owner: I made it a whole 300 miles in my brand new Crosstrek 2024 sport (yeah the fancy one with yellow stripe and all) before It forced a full stop on me while driving!! Do I need to repeat that vehicle was in 'D' mode when the computer decided its time to full stop??!. Subaru towed it away 2 weeks ago. If I had been on the freeway, not in turtle mode, it could have killed me! Not sure if I even want it back. Subaru, I'm afraid of my Subaru!!!
Hyundai will be recalled just as all the prior ones were too. Kia is the same and still will have a fire danger so never park it in your garage or near the house.
I have a 6 cyl AWD Sante Fe that was never touched and I have 256,000 on it. Same with transmission. Family member replace drive shaft in 3 year Buick and replaced $15,000 battery in 2 yr old Spark electric car. Buying a new car can be a crapshoot on any model.
These folks never should have included anything from Subaru. Subaru is the worst car company on the planet. My local dealer damaged my Subaru Forester and refused to fix it. Subaru of America in Camden New Jersey stood by that refusal to fix my car. I was forced to get rid of the car and buy something else, and they wormed their way into my life and ruined it also. The loss of my Subaru cost me $23,400, and loss of a future career. Never ever buy a Subaru of any kind.
Don't whst country your in but that kona is our 2023 model it only comecwith 1.6 turbo hybrid or phev or ev , there no dirty 2.0 underpowered engines in our nation . Even the previous generation came either 1.6 turbo as standard. The kona is not a suv. Never has been. Cuv at a push. This must be north, America. Because our hrv look nothing like this old design and dies not come with a dirty old under powered 2.0.
If you like cars you would not drive Honda, Subaru or Toyota even as a gift based on how ugly they are!!! Maybe Hyundai but it's a bet! If you like cars you would not drive all of those except Mazda cause it's fun to drive and being inside a beautyful place. This is the starting point! Now you can start to think about your money! Cars are like a dresses, you look at quality cause you fit in, but you buy only the pretty ones don't give a dollar to the ugly ones!!! Not for women (do not exist this kind of) just for men: if you are a shirt and shorts practical man you can choose whatever it comes
As opposed to Ford’s not existent subcompact (they ditched the Ecosport cause it was trash) and Chevy’s Trax (underpowered) or Trailblazer (not capable). Jeep could put up a good fight if they actually updated the Renegade which is just languishing per usual for Jeep.
@@glennso47 Undoubtedly, the best driving and handling and good reliability, however, the infotainment sucks and the cargo and rear seat are very small.
America Automakers are so dumb, make junk car for consumers, I have been bought my first three America make car, they never last and trouble all time, repair cost more than car prices, give up, buy Japanese car last forever, save on repairs.
Lol. Just look at workers in north America or Europe, you will have the answer. Nobody puts their heart at career. They are lazy dumb yet demand more pays and rights. You would never understand the Asian countries how passionate they are to their job. One example is most of them treat job more passionate than their families. That's why they can produce good stuff.

The Honda is nice too. But with CVT transmission? No thanks.
If Kona has questionable reliability why do you include it in the 5 most reliable list? It either is reliable or not. Make up your mind.
LOL I just saw the Kona in a video about 10 SUVs to avoid due to reliability problems. Who to believe..
They noted here that reliability is the #1 concern and to plan on owing ot under its 10-year/100,000 mile warranty. I’m in the market and that’s my only concern.
About to buy my 6th Hyundai/Kia product in the last 19 years and never had a mechanical or electrical problem with any of them
Suggestion: Show the car's model in lower corner while you're discussing it. If you advance the video, you know the subject matter.
i STILL LOVE MY XV 2022.
I feel for the consumers that vested in Subaru. You have my deepest sympathies when it happens. The only nice thing about your Subaru is at 160k you’ll be really good at knowing what’s wrong with it and the small fortune it will cost to have it fixed.
i mean unless you are talking about toyota cars, its hard to find something that will last as long as a subaru
I would put # 4 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport
Vous avez oublié la Mitsubichi Eclipse Cross
No mention of the Kia Soul. wow. I woulda thunk that woulda been somewhere on this list.
Kia is a brand that still struggles with reliability.
Yeah those are on 🔥
I don’t know why but I want one ❤ it’s cute to me
Why Mitsubishi RVR not on list ?
Kona ❤👍
Everything you showed in this video is beautiful and very nice cars but why are the ones they sell here in the Philippines so ugly? We can also afford to buy something like you showed.
most have CVT which is unreliable or tends to breakdown sooner than a standard automatic
That’s one of the big reasons why I like the Mazda CX-30.
My friend has a chevy trail blazer, she loves it runs great, no problems.😂
i just bought a corolla cross and in power mode it is quick on acceleration up to about 80 km/h then it loses power again the revs go up a lot and makes a lot of noise. its not real power likea car with gears. the belt system really sucks. even an old two litre Toyota can kick the hybrids butt. its. do yourself a favor and stick with the old corollai f you can.
The Toyota and Honda are woefully underpowered.
I mean slow as molasses.
Don’t even think to merge onto a highway if vehicles are near.
No car with CVT gearbox for me.
you better check for recalls before you buy any of these
Two suby’s in our driveway…won’t drive anything else.
CVT transmission ? No , thanks
Inchies and miles per gallon?? Isn`t that messurments from the stoneage?
wtf is inchies?? And if not using mpg, what are you using??
TOYOTA COROLLA CROSS 🙂👍 PERFECT
Have you really tested these cars or this is just a video based on articles and promos? The list is much bigger and you have concentrate don very few models
The seats of crosstrek are soo stiff and small
All toyota interiors look like a uhaul
What about new Peugeot 2008
The Yugo is also coming back starting at 5000 Pesos.
@@rayosullivan4398 new Yugo 5000 is coming?
This is actually from a real Subaru owner: I made it a whole 300 miles in my brand new Crosstrek 2024 sport (yeah the fancy one with yellow stripe and all) before It forced a full stop on me while driving!! Do I need to repeat that vehicle was in 'D' mode when the computer decided its time to full stop??!. Subaru towed it away 2 weeks ago. If I had been on the freeway, not in turtle mode, it could have killed me! Not sure if I even want it back.
Subaru, I'm afraid of my Subaru!!!
the Kona get horrible mpg for such a small car and a cvt!
What? No RAV 4?
Hyundai will be recalled just as all the prior ones were too. Kia is the same and still will have a fire danger so never park it in your garage or near the house.
I have a 6 cyl AWD Sante Fe that was never touched and I have 256,000 on it. Same with transmission.
Family member replace drive shaft in 3 year Buick and replaced $15,000 battery in 2 yr old Spark electric car. Buying a new car can be a crapshoot on any model.
How you tested the Kona as reliable and still new 😂😂😂🙅♂️🙅♂️🙅♂️
If you like a compact , then get one, but this is not a compact car, despite what they say.
RAV4?
its compact, not sub-compact!
AI making videos, how cool is that, and even to capitalize on that. I would have to report on that one
The King: The Toyota RAV4 Prime.🎯
Subaru was not the most reliable and that matters to me more than any thing else.
Hrv is bad on mpg and slow
Not one American vehicle.
And with good reason... price/performance just ain't there.
@@leecowell8165Plus the American models are nonexistent.
Cona is dirt completely! Unreliable at all
Kona is using same engine with oil drinking and knowing engine
Video tournée par l office asiatique du commerce 😂😂
Don't whst country your in but that kona is our 2023 model it only comecwith 1.6
turbo hybrid or phev or ev , there no dirty 2.0 underpowered engines in our nation . Even the previous generation came either 1.6 turbo as standard. The kona is not a suv. Never has been. Cuv at a push.
This must be north, America. Because our hrv look nothing like this old design and dies not come with a dirty old under powered 2.0.
This not sub compact 😠
Have a 2023 Kona, don’t like the 2024s!!!! F-k electric!!!!!
Disagree
If a car has a CVT transmission, stay away. It it does not have a chain for its timing belt, stay away...
I HATE fake voices
No chinese card? China is always number 1.
Effin' "bubble cars." I hate all of them. Goddam sheep. Don't be a sheep just because, "Consumer Reports says..." Barf!
How much did they pay to put this rubbish out?
Warning: these are last century's cars! (not electric!)
Not for women (do not exist this kind of) just for men:
if you are a shirt and shorts practical man you can choose whatever it comes
Are you joking? These asian rustbuckets are cheap and low tech.
@@Michael-ur5qbBesides the “Asian rust buckets “ are rust proofed much better than American cars
Mazda CX30 is an excellent car.
agreed
@@glennso47 Undoubtedly, the best driving and handling and good reliability, however, the infotainment sucks and the cargo and rear seat are very small.
America Automakers are so dumb, make junk car for consumers, I have been bought my first three America make car, they never last and trouble all time, repair cost more than car prices, give up, buy Japanese car last forever, save on repairs.
Good point
