This Is The UK's WORST Ghost Train... FAIL!?

- This COULD be the UK's WORST ghost train ride in the UK. This year we have had Curse At The Alton Manor at Alton Towers and Ghost Train at Thorpe Park Resort. EVIDENTLY one had a bigger budget then the other and Thorpe Parks Ghost Train was a HUGE Let down! Previously known as Derren Brown's Ghost Train, Ghost Train is the NEW refurbished edition of this ride! VR headsets are no longer used and the "floating" carriage has been removed. Originally costing £13 million it still remains as one of the most expensive investments at Thorpe Park Resort. The Smiler at Alton Towers cost £18 million, Spinball whizzer just over £3 million, it begs the question, where did all the money for Derren Brown's Ghost Train go?! Ghost Train at Thorpe Park is a actor lead experience rather then the previous VR experience, Its around 20 minutes long. The story revolves around a tribe called the Believers who wanted to become immortal and summoned an evil spirit to aid them in their quest but it went wrong and a demon consumed their souls.

Nemesis:
Nemesis is a world-renowned steel inverted coaster located at Alton Towers, a premier theme park destination in the UK. The ride first opened in 1994 and has been thrilling guests ever since with its intense and innovative layout.
Recently, the ride has undergone a retracking process, with new supports and track sections being installed to enhance the overall experience. The retracking will ensure that the ride remains smooth and thrilling for years to come, and the new supports will add an extra layer of safety to the already secure coaster.
Nemesis is known for its unique and immersive theming, with a backstory that revolves around an alien creature that has been unearthed beneath the park. Riders are taken on a wild journey through twists, turns, and inversions, all while being chased by the menacing Nemesis creature.
With its new retracking and supports, Nemesis is set to provide even more thrills and excitement for coaster enthusiasts and theme park visitors alike. If you're looking for a heart-pumping, adrenaline-fueled ride, then Nemesis is a must-try attraction at Alton Towers.
Nemesis: Sub-Terra Now OPEN:
Take a thrilling ride deep into the Earth’s core to discover the secretive research of The Phalanx. Through a guided tour of their latest research facility in Forbidden Valley. Civilians are invited to look, stay alert, but don’t touch, as you’re shown exciting glimpses of a Nemesis egg, their latest discovery.
We’re told it’s controlled and contained, but very little is known about the origins of the egg that sits beneath the Nemesis site, but this much is clear, it’s showing life signs, and a team of Phalanx operatives are investigating. But can they keep control?
It would be great to see a brand new roller coaster at alton towers potentially after 2025 and after Nemesis reopens and Project Horizon opens!

Am I just being harsh on it? Let me know your thoughts and how LONG you queued for it?
I queued 40 mins and it was worth every second
Youre being harsh duel was worst

Someone punched the nun when we were on … they got kicked out the park as they should 😢
the poor actot
i thought it was better then derren browns ghost train, idk why it was just better.
Sorry Blade... I forgot!
I preferred Derren Browns ghost train in my opinion
It's really quite good in my opinion, it was a really good ride and it's a pretty good story, the actors are great and so are the effects. I do think the first train room wasnt great. The train facade was also really good, and the wow factor hit me quite well. I also think the finale should have been different. Jumpscares were good, I'd love to see some screens, but you know. The second train journey was extremely good with the jumpscares and the actors carried it completely. The UV lights were brilliant. I personally think it was a brilliant ride. Great storytelling, great theming, great actors. Didnt seem cheap or rubbish. It's a hit or miss with it. Sometimes you cant hear the actors which ruins the experience.
Fair enough! I just don't think its for me!
Its amazing during the fright nights
Honestly, this is best version of the Ghost Train, and I love it. I’ve done it easily over 40 times now, and it is so much fun.
In my opinion, this ride is the worst dark ride I may of ever been on. The story is flimsy. Like why would the locals be weary of the last train? Wouldn’t they be scared of the church? If it was a crash it would make sense but it’s not. It’s not scary. All the effects were obvious. At least the train coming toward you or the floating carriage had merit. And they worked! They couldn’t get a bloody pulley system to work in the first month!
I'd love it if you chilled out about a ride at a theme park 💀
@@En1ow it bothered you that much? It’s just my opinion. I respect yours, can you respect mine?
I have rode Ghost train and thought it was a great experience, however I was jetlagged that day as I had just landed a few hours ago from my USA Roadtrip as it opened at the beginning of my USA roadtrip plus I was nearby.
Fair enough! It just wasn't for me!
Is the curse of aton Manor in aton towers a good ride
It is excellent.
You sure cus I'm going on Monday I think
Who's going to aton towers on Monday
curse is awful
I really enjoyed Curse. The first time I went on it, I wasn't that impressed but the more and more I went on it I stated to grow on me and its a brilliant dark ride. Not perfect but good!
I am planning to ride Ghost Train. But after my experience on it, I will find ways on how to improve it. The removal of Derren Brown, the VR and the change in storyline were okay for me. I like the use of live actors, multisensory effects and the ride theming and storyline.
With a few script tweaks (too much explaining of the story) and a better direction (possession sequences can be a bit cringe) I believe it would be an acceptable experience, in line with the Dungeon attractions. I understand they are working with what they have got, but it is salvageable.
100% It seems like they had quite a tight budget.
Just did the ghost train and found the whole experience embarrassing dullest ride/attraction ever
It is much different than this
Waited 55 mins yesterday it was awful but for the comedy, actors & hideous effects was brilliant, its certainly an attraction that you will only attend once & never again!
Only "horror" ride that's ever frightened me is Sub-Terra. And that hardly cost a fraction of Ghost Trains budget. Lmao
Maybe derren could take over hex instead
He wants revenge on Thorpe.
Going Friday!!
I queued a total of 2 and a half hours for it
Wow that's long
That's insane!
I did enjoy Ghost Train, but it felt like not much actually happened in the whole experience.
I'm going this week, I'll be riding this & see what I think
#derrenhaslosthisghosttrain
I've done it 7 times now, it's hit or miss but I hate the people who ruin it. making fun of the actors and laughing at them. but ye overall I enjoy it but like ye I can see ur pov. I wouldn't wanna wait long for it.
Sometimes they have mics, sometimes they don't.. which overall defines the experience for me
You’re being way too drastic about this, it’s an alright ride
This meant to be thorpe park? I went there was no floating train no vr headset just a train on rails thta moves back and forth
Previously, the ride was called Derren Brown's Ghost Train and had VR and the floating carriage. This year the ride was refurbished to just Ghost Train. Some things were removed, and some added.
#Derren Lost His Ghost Train
Poor derren.
I thought it was in ocean beach pleasure Park
i love ghost train no.3
Went on it yesterday. Honestly wasn't that impressed, after queuing for an hour. Felt rushed. No microphones, we couldn't hear what the actor in the crypt was saying. Some idiot at the front kicked the wraith, and was lucky not to get kicked out.
Personally preferred last years Ghost train. Felt a bit cheated yesterday.
This was NEVER meant to be a ghost train they didnt know what else to name it
It's a good ride it is worth waiting half an hour for it
#derronslosthisghosttrain
I went on it like 5 days after it opened and I thought it was phenomenal
I think it is a pretty decsend ride! went on there 3 times. the 1st one was at 12, because we were the first group. the last two ones were the last rides fo the day. Also 5 minutes. I think it was an improvement to derren. But I think it was just because of my perfect rides. I was almost the only one on the ride. amazing!!!
1st again 🎉
Wooo Legend 🎉
