The quarter back dropbacks the passing trajectories,the pump fake, the play action abort,throw on the run, and all the catch animations are the same
Shovel pass looks insanely sweet, and that's sick how they have a pump fake installed in a drop back
I love how everyone gets mad at EA for not being 2K. The NFL and NCAA made their titles exclusive to the highest bidder and EA won. NCAA 12 was really good and the additions in 13 should make it even better.
EA showed during a livestream yesterday (NOT this trailer), where a linebacker, trailing a tight end, only went for the tackle, and never jumped to defend the ball because his back was to the quarterback. That's another part of the Read and React Defense.
As we both know, in NCAA 12, that trailing linebacker with his back to the QB defends that pass every time, regardless.

Hey I'm glad to see it. As a Buckeye fan I love when The Game has conference and /or national title implications. Love to see Hoke turning the program around after the Rich Rod disaster and stocking up on some Ohio boys to secure the near future. I live in the Cleveland area and follow the high school ball around here, and I have seen a few players in action who are committed to Michigan in 2012- and those guys will be studs. Tom Strobel from Mentor comes to mind. Dude can't be blocked.
If you read the gameplay blog you would know that EA fixed the defense mechanics and got rid of "Psychic DBs" and "Super Linebackers." In other words the linebackers won't be jumping 20 feet in the air and snagging INTs and the DBs won't be making backwards one handed picks.
I personally love both NCAA and Madden, especially NCAA. There are plenty of things to nitpick, but I've always had fun playing them and that's good enough for me.
NCAA always looks good but this year they went from good to Amazing!
Some people take their time to name them and you can download the rosters online so it won't be like that if you just wait a few days. Give it a few days if one isn't already out. I JUST got my game a few minutes ago so I haven't checked if anyone has uploaded one yet, but i'll look.

Gamingtailgate usually are the first ones to put up rosters early! The last three years they delievered on first day.
proposed national championship series starting in 2014 will more than likely be SEC #1 vs. SEC #4 and SEC #2 vs. SEC #3 with the winners playing for the national championship
Ncaa 12 was a pretty good game to me even better than madden to me this year is going to be badass
These are great additions, don't listen to these haters. I've noticed innovative changes each year, to much change isn't good. I would like to see more tackle, sack, and pass rushing animations, as long as it doesn't make the game laggy and choppy like Madden. I've always liked the smooth and fast paced feel of NCAA, much better than madden.
I wish they would add a feature where you can design your own teams uniform.
Also change up the bleacher effects, ex: memphis vs unlv, it will not be a full house, make the attendance realistic
also make the pads smaller and add effects like wrinkles and dirt to the uniforms
Add crowd storming the field after huge upset
Add all jersey updates (AND PLEASE, ACTUALLY TRY TO PUT IN THE JERSEYS THAT WILL BE USED DURING THIS UPCOMING SEASON. Ask the schools or something.)
Add ESPN Classics to relive all time great games (Like in NCAA 05)
Add Race to the Heisman (Like in previous NCAA games)
Tearing of jerseys
Helmets being removable
Add ejections for repeated hit stick tackles
Can't we just be thankful that there even is a college football video game. Sure it it has it's flaws but EA does make improvements every year . The sport of football doesn't change so of course the game is going to be practically the same every year.
yeah same here but i am now going to see if/how they have improved the game modes like my favorite of 12: road to glory: I'm hoping for bigger build ups to games and events as well as a more difficult challenge to get up to the starting position and more aspects to the players career such as interviews

Nobody will ever be satisfied with anything these guys put out. This trailer showed a lot and so did the live streams where they went into a lot of detail. I'm extremely excited about this years iteration, but of course with a bit of doubt. Looks good EA. Bout time.
It's true bro i did all the research. The reason why they didn't do it is because they fill that the players exported skills isn't real and over a few seasons with the lack of skill from the players only make your team weaker in a dynasty. Not to mention they want to see if ncaa football 13 can hold its own in the marketing sells.

If EA were to put out film of a college broadcast as their new game, people would criticize it for being the same, or unrealistic, or whatever. I don't play this game, just something I've noticed
I want towel and hand warmer options like allowing the QB to have his towel centered instead of on the right hip or having the hand warmer behind his back during game play. Still gonna buy the game regardless though.
They can't, unlike previous years. In a livestream yesterday, it was shown that defenders no longer have eyes in the back of their heads, meaning a linebacker trailing a tight end will NOT jump and deflect a pass without looking. The defenders, like the offensive players, will not react to the ball unless they see it.

HECK YEAH !!! I'm so glad now there's an animation for throwing on the run cause before throwing on the run didn't work well for me , seemed like i had to stop and set my feet then throw. Just polish what's already there & add these new features , Maybe EA can go over all teams entrance & stadium's make sure everything's up to date !!!
looks like they kinda listened to the fans with the pass trajectories and playaction blits pick up. looks pretty decent so far.
i like it. only thing was that when you watch it from the actual ganeplay point of view the graphics and everything was 100% the same. i know this isnt final copy or anything so im not complaining yet. we'll wait til the demo..

Ive been playing the game since Ncaa 01. Theres been darastic changes from then as everyone can see. This year there are more than just in game "play now" changes. Most people like me, whos in love with the dynasty will have a BLAST. The dynasty has improved with recruiting styles, coaching styles etc. i mean you cant ask for qb's to be able to grow wings and fly or something, i would hate for the game to start looking like blitz the leauge LOL. but i understand what people say! im DEFF buying.

This isn't what we want, we want the players to have the right hair, the right sock length, the right accessories, better punt return chances, and better graphical flow
Guys, do you realize that these are the same players from last year (gear and all). The trailers and previews have the players from NCAA 12 but w/ new motions for a preview. Dont you realize that mizzou still has the "M" on their helmet? They changed that to a tiger. And dontravius Robinson is on the Nebraska part of the preview and he transferred 2 years ago. We'll see what the players look like when the game comes out.
He better be talking about the '13 class. Even so... Buckeyes are still in the top ten (so far), with plenty of time to take back some of the 8 Ohio boys in UM's recruiting class for that year. Great job picking up the Ohio talent, since there isn't enough to go around in Michigan and all. Gotta give credit where credit is due.

I think we are going to have to wait till the next gen to get a new engine, until then the game will be ruled by animations, but these little changes at least take out some of the problems in the past. The big thing I would want is if they made the difficulty settings more realistic.
They don't have a full year. After release they have a few months where they are still focused on the game they just release plus time for planning what needs to be worked on for the next installment. Not to mention work on the game ends about a month before release once they have to send it in for approval and manufacturing.
And how much money they make doesn't make a difference. They still only have 6-8 months to make the game. Most games take 2-3 years of dev time to put together.
Man I hope they have a deal to get both NCAA and Madden. I want both, but I don't wanna drop $120 on both...they're both so similar. All of these changes will be in Madden, too! Too excited.

I THINK (key word) the demos are not 1080P, but the full game is. Full game always looks better than the demo. Super Sic 58!
I think he's talking about the 2013 class.. which Michigan is currently dominating. Pretty much the #1 class in the nation as rated by everyone, so far.

ncaa 2007 had the best graphics and gameplay. even the crowd went crazy when they seen u were about to break loose for a big gain. take 07 and give them the catch animations and youve got the greatest game. and where is corso?
What this game is missing:
Better run animations, better physics, different punt game (teams dont line up in a basic punt formation anymore. Also, punters take three steps to punt. Not one. This eliminates chances to block punts, a huge momentum changer in college football) better blocking animations and schemes.
that's why you make changes. and put them in the right positions.
what I want to see most in ncaa 13, is more fan animation, lets face it football is nothing without fans ,and past years there had been hardly to few. Its just makes it more real, and also more team celebrations not intense,but u know a little more than less.
The graphics looks better than madden 12 for damn sure, and the gameplay is better. They just need all the college teams on the game.

I hope the camera angles for road to glory defence isn't like the last two cause its annoying when you can't see the guy you're guarding or you go to far and the ball is passed as you realize he stopped 5 yards before you.
I pretty much consider the ncaa football franchise a preview of what the next madden will be, because all of the new features that are in ncaa games are in the madden games. Now thats just my opinion but.

The button icon is only above the receiver when he is looking. He started looking again before the ball was thrown.
they do at times but not near as much now you can actually throw over the middle 85-90% of the time now without it being swatted
Just got the game yesterday. Lol first play I ran a touchdown back on a kickoff return.

I buy it every year with huge expectations, and end up pissed the whole time. I hope this year is different. If the equipment was better, that alone would improve the look of the game exponentially
On teambuilder they should let you make your own stadiums as well as fields for this year

Underrated game
I'm a spread option guy and love the option upgrade. I averaged 40 ppg and over 250 rush ypg in 12... Im hoping the shovel pass + option is on there. If it is there will be no stopping me.....
Thats his point exactly. They really have no competition and they arent really working hard.. they are having flaws on purpose so they can improove slightly on the next game.. its why madden has had the SAME superstarmode for like 6 years.. theyre gonna use it as an " improvement " when the time is ready
And so thats not a bad thing because I too love the NCAA series. It should look like 12 because 12 looked pretty damn good. We have got to improve on the gameplay every year, and thats something that all the haters think they could come up with in 5 minutes lol! We including me have NO freaking idea what it takes, whether it is even possible, to even replicate the real facets of real life football. I think they have done a great job. Haters couldnt last a freaking day with all the hate.Not 1day

Yeah and there are people that take the time out and put all the names in for all the teams. Just wait a week and look on forums to find someone that has the full roster.
SO much better than the old decrepit Madden franchise!!! Considering they are the same company it is amazing that NCAA has been so much better for the last three maybe four years! Can't wait for NCAA 13 and hook'em!

It would be cool to have ESPN highlights of real action and injury updates with the scores in dynasty games. Including before and after games you could have more media and fans crowding the field during upsets and huge wins. Bring back college gameday, plus ESPN highlights of key plays, upsets, injuries, and underdogs after every week all games are played. I find it amazing how great this game is getting every year. I just know us the fans would love to see real live action expand.
Also having NCAA 12, I feel cheated that all of this wasn't in that game when it should have been. Please get rid of the super saiyan linebackers, psychic dbs, make power backs actually truck defenders, and fix the horrible lag at the menu screens.
You can't just move a physics engine straight to a different game. Even if they did get an engine such as euphoria they still have to program in all the different details. It isn't just plug in engine and you now have physics in game. They have to program everything in game around it. On top of that it becomes more difficult with football since you have more contact going on at one time. If they don't take the time to do this kind of thing you end up with wonky physics.

I meant game play wise. Seeing that the new console is just right around the corner, they did what they could and really overhauled the game play. That was my main concern. It could look better but the game play needed the most over anything.
