i remember seeing the very first monster hunter in like a game magazine as a child, it had like a 5.5 out of 10 rating, but i really didn't care, it looked so fun and interesting to me. bought it and it was my favorite game on ps2 ever, but it was a really niche game, i didn't know anyone who knew this game even existed. and here we are, this wonderful franchise getting the mainstream love it deserved : ) incredible! isn't it like capcoms biggest title now? how crazy :D
This low quality on Console is really making me question buying this game. Why doesn’t a popular game like this look as good as God of War or Black Myth Wookong? This might be the first time I don’t purchase a Monster hunter. What happened to the time when people use to say “Thats a Monster Hunter Copy?” We need a game that looks like it’s PS5 worthy. This game looks like it’s just a bit sharper than Monster hUnter world. No true upgrade in graphics.
I need akantor at least to return 😭 he was my baby boy when i was a kid fighting him in mhf2, I'll be 24 when mh6 comes out really want to see him again
I NEED unique weapon designs from all of the large and small monsters to come back. Having a cool looking weapons and armor completes the feel of monster hunter!!
true that. most dissapointing moment of MH Worlds loot was when I saw that xeno jiiva weapons didn't have a unique model but where base weapons with the "feathers" slapped on. Such a waste of potential.

FINALLY! As a 20 year vet of the franchise, When I first played Monster Hunter as a little girl i always though how magical and amazing the world was, Now that I'm in my 30's and after experiencing Monster Hunter World and seeing what a passion project it was and seeing what is to come, Thank you Capcom for bringing back that little girl
Cheers, us 20 years vet understand how World is literally the reimagined of the O.G. And the next one will be the game where, 20 years of accumulated ideas in Kaname Fujioka head will become reality.
Nah fr, I'm so excited, from playing the game on my psp (but being terrible at it) to grinding on my pc (slightly less terrible) this is looking like what young me pictured when he played.
@Ubu90 Well you do realize that MMO is all about building your character in the game right? Levels, amount of treasure that you possessed. Which none can be found in MH, as builds speaks way less than hunting skill in MH. And yes, World is the reimagined of the O.G. Bigger hunting communities, 16 players hub, and Kaname sealed it by making Fatalis kill in Iceborne as the canon in the series.
@@ZoepX I know it's been years, but I still have trust issues after Asura's Wrath lol, damn Capcom, who the hell thought that buying a DLC to get the true ending was a good idea 😢😅

めっちゃ感動しちゃう... I was so touched when I saw this video, since this series has been with me for over 17 years. From a little kid who struggled to hunt alone with his PSP to a working man who is now well versed in all kinds of action games! I'll be back. Wait for me, 2025!

Oh man, a new MH just means a new continent, environmental landscape, species, habitat, and biomes from the ground up. they're literally making a new "world" *ba dum tss** 😭
Seeing the way the small monsters interact with the environment, as well as one another, has got me feeling the same giddiness I had seeing the Monster Hunter 4 test footage of mounting and climbing walls for the first time. This franchise is in my blood man!
This trailer gave me the same feeling I had when I first saw the Monster Hunter World trailer, which I proceeded to put over 1000 hours into(most MH games I put around 200-400 hours into). I'm really excited to play this game as soon as it comes out.
World is probably one of the most important games in my life. I made friends in it, I spent countless hours in it, it gave me an extreme sense of mastery and customization, and Iceborne essentially saved my sanity during the pandemic. I have high expectations, but I know they're not unrealistic because of how damn good this team is. See you in 2025!
Same here man. My brother-in-law and I bonded with this game. We both picked it up on release and played together all the way to fatalis. I had like 800 hours on it. Funny thing, it was my first MH game and I hated it but once I learned the ropes I was hooked. See you guys in 2025! Happy hunting!
The little bit of soundtrack we get in this trailer is just so legitimately fantastic. From that deep synth bass at the start which is then punctuated by some really nice synth arpegios underlying the rise into the orchestral parts kicking in. The synth stuff being used is really new to MH or at least it hasn't had a very large presence. They mainly kept to orchestration. But all of that leading into what is very quickly becoming my favorite rendition of the proof of a heroesque leit motif that each game gets as a main theme. Truly excited for this game and to hear more of its soundtrack.
I've been here since Freedom Unite, and I really don't think the hype train ever dies when it comes to a new Monster Hunter title. Let's make it to 2025 together, and see just how amazing this is gonna be.
the natural wildlife is what made me fell in love with the franchise way back in Tri, World was a refreshing back to form, and now Wilds seems really promising. i am Hyped
This series... It brought so much to my life, I became an artist mostly because of Monster Hunter! It defined who I am. 2025 is going to be wild! Thank you Capcom!
One of my friends got me into MH back when World was announced. I played World/Iceborne and Rise/Sunbreak. 3000+ hours combined later, this has to be the most exciting announcement for me in such a long time. Here’s to hunting with everyone in 2025, let’s go!
@@brandonzarate703 it’s the easiest entry for a newcomer to begin. If I were you I’d look up videos regarding weapons, how progression works and find at least another person to play with you. These games are the best when playing with others. It does have match making so you can join with randoms too. Don’t go in expecting a story because these games never have one worth investing in. It’s all about the hunting. If you do get it I advise to take your time, try everything, don’t let a few defeats bring you down and switch up your strategy when something doesn’t work. Look up guides on weapons and monsters, it helps a lot. Once the game clicks I promise you it’s some of the best gaming you’ll ever experience.
@@brandonzarate703worth every penny. I even double dipping on xbox after playing it on switch first. Just try rise on gamepass first, then bought sunbreak if you like.
Its amazing to see how far we've come since I started playing many years ago back on PSP as stringy nine year old complaining about how hard the khezu was, I miss Monster Hunter Freedom Unite but look at how this series has evolved since, just amazing.
Yes, please! I want to see the massive ecology that is monster hunter play out. I can also imagine the village being in a completely open world where the village defenders are fending off smaller creatures regularly that don’t need your help but then, when the bigger ones show up, they will issue quests. One of the things I like most about rise was that the villagers had those in the community that could fight back against the monsters that we actually got to see. So seeing that on them larger scale like this implies would be so good.
Imagine a great jaggi fight with dedicated pack hunting mechanics. They could legitimately make it a very threatening quest around the level of some apex monsters depending on how the jaggis coordinate.
Reading this comment made me recall my first time fighting the Great Jaggi in MH3 vanilla. I came after MHU and was quite amazed by what they did for the pack attack mechanic as I actually struggled being overwhelmed by a group of monsters for the first time.
I had meant to get into World for years, but struggled to get into it until about 3 days ago. My Monster Hunter enthusiast friend explained to me that "it's a game better taught than learned" and "wikis and guides are my friend, don't be afraid to use them". They gave me some solid guidance for the first several hours of the game... and now I've hit the ground running with it. 35 hours in one weekend. So far I'm freaking loving it, and I'm kicking myself for missing out on this insanely awesome game and series for so long. But better late than never - I'm already excited for Wilds.
Nice. yeah that's the big hurdle for most people. You either have a bad first impression and think it's a bad series from that point forward, or you just suck it up and go through the growing pains of wikis and guides until it all finally clicks, and you're addicted. But having an experienced friend helps ease that growing pain process along better, that's for sure.
That's the story for most of us. We did like the game but couldn't stick to it because we didn't understand most of it. But it's magical enough to suck us after a while back in because it's unique. If it clicks it's addicting and fun.
Hmm 🤔 maybe there was more nuance to that game than I realised? I completed the main story and I never felt that I need any sort of Wiki etc, it's easily the most accessible and casual friendly monster hunter game.
@@YourPalHDee I agree the moment to moment gameplay and combat is largely intuitive, but I think there are a number of obfuscated little things when starting out which can bug, like monster research levels and scoutfly levels being different, radial wheels not differentiating between pouch and box items leading to red Xs, EZ traps vs normal traps, the fact slinger ammo is found on hunts and switched out when picking it up which is confusing as shit whilst you're unaware it's even ammo in the first place, let alone that that's how it works. There were other things as well that I didn't feel were explained too well at the time.
So the mount (so far) has 3 states. Bipedal, which seems very agile. You can see them weaving through the herd. Quadrapedal, which seems to give you speed. And a gliding state, which obviously let's you float large distances based on where you jump from. How cool! Not to mention the weapons and bed roll it has in the saddle. Suggesting a mobile camp-like system and maybe far larger regions or a completely open world 😊
Man I hope so. I do love the idea of a Saddle sheath for carrying a secondary weapon you pick before heading out and just swapping between the two. We'll just have to suffer the long wait until we hear more about it.
Open world with villages around. You go to the villages to select your quest and then just...set out. no loading screen or nothing. that would be so incredible
Idk about you but I really hope it is not open world, I feel like that would spoil the style of MH (i am coping bcz nothing will ever feel the same as world)

Right? I love how theyre finally making small monsters no longer just walking, helpless sacks of meat. The fact that theyre going forward with this new step by using such an underappreciated and underepresented animal is just awesome too.
I just noticed the light bowgun on the side of our mount. If it’s usable then that might mean we can switch weapons mid battle without needing to go into a tent.

Part of that would be the introduction of monsters. In rise you have the narrated introduction while you just kind of stumble across them doing their thing in world
@@lilfuzzballanot trying to add stuff here to seem like Im bashing MhRise but the wirebugs although fun were a mechanic that ruined the “helpless” feeling of monster hunter as a whole for me. Out of all the games to come out since World/IB, this one has me legit excited. World/IB was so alive, and this vid shows the devs are gonna put that same level of detail into Wilds, or maybe even more.
THIS LOOKS AMAZING! It gives me very open worldish vibes! I would love to see monster hunter move more towards this style that really pushes the boundaries of a true hunting, exploring, and researching kinda vibe.
Hell yeah, my favorite thing to do in world is just wandering around in the world looking at all the critters moving about and interacting with one another, and this kind of approach goes very well with it
@@artursobkow2680 Rise was limited by being made from the ground up to run on nintendo switch, whereas wilds is being made for much more powerful consoles, so the engine for rise being used in wilds is in no way a representation of the quality of the game being made.

@Ubu90
Well you do realize that MMO is all about building your character in the game right? Levels, amount of treasure that you possessed. Which none can be found in MH, as builds speaks way less than hunting skill in MH.
And yes, World is the reimagined of the O.G. Bigger hunting communities, 16 players hub, and Kaname sealed it by making Fatalis kill in Iceborne as the canon in the series.

The rotten vale theme has some synth in it and it is an absolute banger

Yo is monster hunter rise/sunbreak worth it im think of getting it on Xbox

I wonder if home base will be a traveling caravan like in MH4U
There’s a possibility for that, as Kaname also the director of 4U.
A live caravan rendered this well would make my heart explode
Imagine a great jaggi fight with dedicated pack hunting mechanics. They could legitimately make it a very threatening quest around the level of some apex monsters depending on how the jaggis coordinate.
Not an apex tier, but he could defenitley rank higher.
That would another good reason to use smoke bombs,or any new items they give us this time
Reading this comment made me recall my first time fighting the Great Jaggi in MH3 vanilla. I came after MHU and was quite amazed by what they did for the pack attack mechanic as I actually struggled being overwhelmed by a group of monsters for the first time.
I can honestly imagine Jaggies or any of the prey family monsters running alongside you in the field attempting to attack you. That be sick.
This looks very good, gives me motivation to stay alive until 2025

HUNTERS, Let the sapphire star light your way!
@@TearTheRoof0ff Navigating the village and learning all of the little features and mechanics each vendor offers too.
Suggesting a mobile camp-like system and maybe far larger regions or a completely open world 😊
If it was Red it would look like Koraidon! Lets go Pokemon!

Bro, when I was going into the Game Awards, I had the lowest of low expectations…but then a few game trailers came out actually got me quite interested…and then this came at the very last moment and stole the show for me. I am hyped beyond belief, even if 2025 is quite a long wait, I am more than willing to wait for this masterpiece to come soon!
Being a fan since Monster Hunter 2 on Ps2, playing all the hunter games for thousands of hours, seeing this game evolve into what it is today is just amazing. I am sooo hyped for this game!!!! See you in the fields hunters!
Same here, it's crazy, every single time I fall in love again with each game...
Being a fan since the first game on PS2 this is basically everything I hope the series would turn into, hyped
I started with the first one on PS2, this trailer looks good and the game itself looks promising, I have always wanted mounts, and now they took the palamute and inhanced it and gave us that good boy raptor, I'm glad there's no wire bug, I can see the hunter has a second weapon and has a slingshot and carries a scout flies cage
We don't get enough OG fans honestly since the first fleet new world hunters outnumber them. Always nice to see people who have been supporting since the early titles.
@@HailFyradoesnt matter wich fleet ppl are just how much they love the games.
greetings from a second fleet person :P
My brain couldn't even comprehend this as a Monster Hunter game until the "Capcom Presents" popped on screen. Oh my god this is going to be incredible
Probably because the heart and soul of monster hunter, hitting monsters until they die, isn't in the trailer.
Here after the new trailer... I feel like a kid
I started monster hunter back on the PSP playing MH Freedom! that was 2005! I was 12!
THIS! This looks absolutely amazing and i'm upset that i didnt remain oblivious of the next release until closer to launch, because now i'll be obsessively watching the calendar until official release!
Freedom on psp was my first too, the forest and hills days 😢
That one 20 min Popo quest with the fucking Tigrex
@@inciacci549 pfffff🥺 right in the feels. That mission scare the fckn shit of me when I was 10-11.
Monster hunter was the second game that i got into really bad, and it was in the PSP monster hunter freedom unite.
I put nearly 400 hours into playing Rise with my friends, some of the most fun I have ever had with a video game. This game has me truly stoked.
just 400?
I have over 3k in world, almost 1k in GenU..maybe around 600 in Rise. (Over the course of the years I've played). If this newer one gives me feelings similar to world, I may dump around the same as it into this game.
rise was garbage. world is goat
Here comes the annoying gamer comments berating you for not having 10 billion hours and about rise not being amazing. Im glad you enjoyed it see you in 2025.
@@kevo300 Don't take it to heart. Luckily in this comment chain there isn't a toxic flow of those things. Just some opinions but I hope I'm not speaking too soon here ):
Back when I playing MH when I still just a child, this is what I imagine playing that game, the living ecosystem of unique creature, and there is us, a single human just trying to survive in the middle of it, hunting and foraging what we could take. When MH world came out, it give more live into the series that I love, and now this, the more interaction between ecosystem and us not to mention cool monster is makes me more in love with this series
Rathalos flying by, like you thought i wouldnt be a part of this ? im the flagship og!
The open world monster hunter game I always wanted
I hope they do it right
It could be the best open world game if done right
The way I am hoping is monsters still have locals you can just gon seamlessly between them
Have they actually confirmed it being open world?
@@manusiabumi7673 I don’t think so but I think it is a solid guess
@@manusiabumi7673 DuskGolem leak seem to have hinted at MH Wilds being open world, at least to some degree.
Lord I hope it’s not open world just big world.
So hyped!!! Can't wait to see more!!!
I am so glad my friend got me into Monster Hunter.
I'll definitely be ready to play this game when it comes out, because I now have something to live for!
Getting goosebumps every time seeing a new trailers from MH. My arm hair stood up like a hedgehog lol. After all these years of playing MH, Dos opening still my favorite.
MH never fails to extend my barrel 🔥🔥
I want them to bring back 16 person hubs. So much more lively for my 7-12 person groups. It felt more dynamic and was a lot of fun when we had that freedom in monster hunter world.
It's a pretty safe bet they'll go for that again. Hopping into a Safi'Jiiva/Kulve Taroth lobby with a dozen randos and just running the sieges over and over made for some of my favorite memories in MH5
@@CapnShades
Those Safi raids were definitely some of my personal favorite times from World.
I only did Kulve a little bit, didn't interest me nearly as much though.
Thank you MH team for bring us hunters a new adventure in the making. The RE engine make the weather look amazing, hope it is dynamic during the hunt and monsters appear base on random weather. Also love you guys for keeping the riding system from rise, please keep the follower system from that game too. The BIG question. Where is my palico? Where's my cat? I can't go anywhere without them.
Also, 6 dragon/serpents for base game boss. fitting for MH6 title even though its called wilds.
@@tiramisumochi3123 not all at once in the same quest, that's too much XD
but i agree, we'll need 6 new dragons.
20 years it's been nearly 20 years since Monster Hunter came out; I've been here for each generation, and I bought every console strictly for Monster Hunter, specifically WII U Ultimate Monster Hunter Tri and Switch for Sunrise. Freedom Unite was my favourite growing up, easily over 1000 hours from doing hubs with friends from school, too. Monster Hunter World brought in a new generation that made me proud to watch what the game has become and see the new generation of hunters enjoying my childhood.
I am proud to say that I look forward to heeding the call once more to fight the monsters one and all, joining with new, old and very old hunters once again.
"For as long as we live, the hunt's still on 🍻"
I wish I have the funds to buy all consoles too to play all the MH tittles. I was very tempted to buy 3ds back then to play MH3U. As a PlayStation only console user, you had no idea how happy I was when MH Sunrise got ported to Playstation
@@notme6753 I would highly suggest getting a emulator for some of the original PSP titles, highly recommend freedom 2 unite my all time favorite, even a basic laptop can run the PSP emulator.
Can't wait.
I hope this game goes more in the direction of world again. I loved that the monsters felt more like actual animals instead of mythical beasts like in rise
I mean enjoy myself a good "over the top" mythical monster in MH. Like Valstrax and Zinogre are pretty mythical, but they are still awesome. What myhtical monster you felt were too much for you in Rise?
@@lilfuzzballa It's not that I didn't like rise. I just prefer the style of world over the more arcady style of rise.
I liked feeling like you are really just some hairless monkey trying to secure your place in a thriving ecosystem and I think world nailed that part.
Part of that would be the introduction of monsters. In rise you have the narrated introduction while you just kind of stumble across them doing their thing in world
@@witchinggecko4271 Ok so that cleared things up a bit. So it seems more like a presentation thing rather than a monster design thing.
@@lilfuzzballa Pretty much, yeah
@@lilfuzzballanot trying to add stuff here to seem like Im bashing MhRise but the wirebugs although fun were a mechanic that ruined the “helpless” feeling of monster hunter as a whole for me. Getting hit and wire zipping away 5m from danger really made the game easier and positioning did not matter. Veterans bashed world for being too easy but but never did the same for rise.
As soon as I saw that Greatsword I knew what beauty I was looking at. I can't wait a year I need it NOW!!
For all us hunters out there waiting for this, waiting for the awards. How they saved best for last. everything about this is... perfect.
This has made me fall in love with MHWorld all over again, can't wait for this
Here's the most anticipated game for me until it comes out. Very hard to top it from my list.
MHW have such a special place in my gamer heart.
Out of all the games to come out since World/IB, this one has me legit excited. World/IB was so alive, and this vid shows the devs are gonna put that same level of detail into Wilds, or maybe even more.
Forget GTA6, this just made my entire 2025
Bro My ride is both a dog, a bird, and a raptor all at the SAME TIME!?! God This franchise never fails to amaze me!
Happy 1st anniversary! Most of the wait is done!
0:53 has got me so hyped. That theme 😩
Me too bro I am ao hyped for this game experience
I love the obligatory rathalos flying by at the end
God bless you Capcom. You truly are gonna carry these next years with Dragon's Dogma & MH. We count on you !
When i watch this trailer again and again, i keep turning on my ps5 and play monster hunter world, true gem
The hype is on❤
@@Rayquaza1111 monster hunter world is still alive and lots of people play it nowadays
THIS LOOKS AMAZING! It gives me very open worldish vibes! I would love to see monster hunter move more towards this style that really pushes the boundaries of a true hunting, exploring, and researching kinda vibe.
Hell yeah, my favorite thing to do in world is just wandering around in the world looking at all the critters moving about and interacting with one another, and this kind of approach goes very well with it
@@sebastianbronowicki7073hi i am thinking of getting into mh w a friend, which is best dor coop? world or rise
Its Rise Engine so.. this wont be World 2.0
@@artursobkow2680 Rise was limited by being made from the ground up to run on nintendo switch, whereas wilds is being made for much more powerful consoles, so the engine for rise being used in wilds is in no way a representation of the quality of the game being made. For a more practical example of this concept, fallout 4 and skyrim run on the same engine as morrowind, or the difference of quality between the newest mortal kombat on switch vs other platforms
Edit: just looked it up out of curiosity, this same engine is also used for street fighter 6 as well as the recent resident evil games, so yes, it is very much capable of being world 2
