This is so cool. Great visual to explain the sacrum and movements.
    Thanks much.

This is easily the best explanation of the sacrum I've seen! Thanks!

Great little run through! Great help to some of us students out here at VCOM

Great work guys! Wonderful way to help make OMT more accessible to students and make learning it both fun and more memorable. Only wish we'd have had this technology (UA-cam and easy video making) available back when we were training. We did videos and had to have them duplicated as VCRs.. then we had to sell them and sit through watching them for review. So much easier now. Thanks again, hopefully this kind of effort will get DOs back to using OMT!

Great comment Kjell. The marginated sacrum is an interesting topic. I find it in many of my patients but we did not include it with our videos because it is not taught in all schools and texts. Some people believe it doesn't really exist, and it is just a form of the common torsions. Because of this you will not see it tested upon in the boards. That being said, there are two forms of the marginated sacrum where the axis of rotation is either more medial or more lateral, running vertically, from base to apex.

Simples!! Thank you! our MET teacher spent 3 lectures trying to teach us sacral motion, and some people were still confused!

Yes, the unilateral comment is correct. The sacrum dance just helps you remember motion. The side of dysfunction falls into flexion or elevates into extension. The dance helps recall for the flexion/extension with a side bending quality. Sulci depth should be inferred based on those motions and presumed mechanics of the sacrum

@MrUsernamechannel Thanks so much for all of your support and activity on the site. We are working on a BLT video and will also get to work on a myofascial release and lymph video. We hope to have them up next week

@DidacticsOnline Indeed, I did! Holy crap, you guys have a TON of videos on youtube, I need to check all of them out. Thanks so much for taking the time to share your knowledge with us! If you guys are trying to think of other useful videos, I think one that gives a general overview of myofacial release and one on lymphatic treatments would be very beneficial!

Hey, with Left unilaterally extension, shouldn't the left sulcus be shallow? Same with left unilaterally flexed, the left sulcus should be deep.
