2500 kilometres journey from England to my hometown in Italy. After 3 days cycling in the UK I took a ferry from Harwich to Holland and followed Eurovelo 15 alone the Rhine river, with some diversions in Holland and France. I then moved to Bavaria and cycled south to Austria before crossing the Alps and arriving in my hometown of Rovereto, in the northern Italian Alps.

Another AMAZING trip!! I've got my Brompton and gear almost ready to start traveling. You're a true inspiration!! Your videos and book are magical!! Thank you!
Many thanks Hector. Great to hear you are enjoying the book too! Muchas gracias.
What a lovely video! I love how you always manage to tell such a great story without much speaking... globally enjoyable 😊
Thanks Ian. I usually hate the sound of my voice and rather let nature do the speaking. :)
What a beautiful journey! And a massive achievement on a Brompton! Simply magical to watch, i was almost there with you. Beautifully filmed with an amazing soundtrack. Just fantastic, thank you for sharing.
Most appreciated. Thanks!
You have given us the highlights of such a wonderful journey in just 35 minutes. Delightful to watch. Thank you!
Happy to hear that! Many thanks.
Gianni, I’m so glad (and jealous) that you are once again on the road. You have chosen a beautiful route for your journey back to Italy. I am also very impressed that you take the time to reply to all of your followers; you are truly the “Gentleman Brompton Traveler”. Thank you, be safe.
Most kind Peter. Those cycleways criss crossing Europe are really enjoyable and mostly flat! So far I manage to reply to comments as best as I can. It is rewarding as they are mostly from people that love Bromptons, bike touring in general and it keeps me motivated to do more trips and film them! Many thanks.
This is my first viewing of your films. Looking forward to more.
Tears in my eyes. lovely. Thanks will watch many times.
Many thanks Les! I replied to your email too. Regards.
You say you had tears in your eyes I guess what's wrong with him. Then I watch the video and I have tears in my eyes.
Thank you so much for much for this amazing video! I did cycle trips in Europe and Africa had so much fun... Sadly I lost a leg in a motorcycle accident 6 years ago but managed to ride a bicycle again a few months ago.
This video inspired me so much and I have yet again hope and dreams of long rides and trips on my bycle.
Greatings from South Africa!
Phillip-Neil, I should thank you for this comment. It is most inspiring to read about your motivation to get back to what you love after the accident you had. I am sure with your attitude you will find a way to do it. It also reminds me about something I try to always bear in mind; good health is not something to be taken for granted and while I am able to do what I enjoy doing I try to make the most of it and these videos are simply the result of this. Many thanks and all the best for your future adventures.
Without a doubt this video has set a new high quality standard for profiessionalism for bike touring videos. As you have noted the cities and towns you traveled through I listed them out in the order you noted. By using Google Earth/directions I was able to plot your route with the distances between each city/town then by going back on to your video I was able see the countryside you were travelling through between each city/town, also all the side streets you took through those villages. I must say you did an absolutely marvellous job of plotting all the back roads, cycle tracks and low traffic volume roads going through so many countries. I'm watching it all again. Very, very inspiring Gianni a beautiful production mate. Viewed in Cambodia.
You worked harder than I did editing the movie! :) I had some diversion but a good part of the trip followed Eurovelo 15, a cycleway that followed the Rhine river. Many thanks for watching and do hope to make it to Cambodia one day! Cheers
Beautifully filmed with stunning music thank you. Would love to do this one day on my Brompton 😀👍
You should! It is gentle and flat most of the way.
Thanks so much for this video. Makes me want to load up my Brompton and go traveling again. Your book and videos have been a great help to me.
Go for it! Fun bikes to ride.
Beautifully shot and excellent music. The lack of the usual over enthusiastic commentary made it a relaxing and enjoyable watch. Many thanks, young man!
Thanks for the young man, Rob...some ask for commentary but luckily I hate the sound of my voice.
You are living my dream, being a Brompton owner myself I've often dreamt about a long adventure like the one you have done. Brilliant film!
Many thanks Paul! If you own a Brompton you are already half way there! Don't let it stay a dream, they are fun bikes to ride and if all goes pear shape, easy to put on in a car, train and so on... Thanks again.
I'm still trying to make up my mind on the Brompton
@@carolleenkelmann4751 I've had my Brompton for 15 years and love it- they are worth every penny. The difference in riding style is more than made up for by the ease with which you can just put them on a train, in the back of a car / taxi / luggage rack of a bus etc. if the weather suddenly changes. Here in the UK there's a lot of lip - service about taking bikes on trains but in reality competition for space with wheelchairs, prams etc means bikes are just not a priotity or there are so many different regulations on different rail companies it can get awkward on journeys where you have to change train. With a Brompton this has never been an issue - I look up the nearest rail station to a place & set off. I'd love to have the courage for wild camping but men can get away with more than I would as a woman travelling alone!
Great adventure. Marvelous scenery. Thank you for taking us along.
Thanks for watching!
I was searching for a bike and came across your video. Very inspirational and down to earth, love the true personal touch of you responding to each comments. Keep it up Cheers from Singapore 👍
Trying my best. I appreciate people commenting. Thanks!
Just before I started to watch this particular video and having viewed many of your travelogues, I thought wouldn't it be good if place names popped up at the bottom of the screen. Lo and behold there they are! a welcome addition. Thank you once again for a splendid production. Chapeau!
Many thanks Stuart. I must have read your mind on that one... I often get request to do something like this and as it was a month trip and crossing several countries I thought I should have a go at it and at least include some of the places. Thanks!
Agreed. Thanks for taking the time re including the route info. Makes a viewing and contemplative difference 🐾💫
Very inspiring trip, I'm yet to really get my bike packing career going but every day it comes closer watching videos like yours!
Go for it! The Brompton setup I use is kind of backpacking too I suppose...
I have been a close follower of your Brompton Traveller. You have done it again. Hope to see many more of your brompton journeys to come. Thanks.
Most kind Sam! Thanks
Brompton Traveler Hi Gianni, When I am doing my workout on my bike trainer, I will turn on your latest ride like the one you did from UK to Italy and just imagined the ride like I was there. Hahaha.
This video made me miss warm summer rides, including where I lived near Harwich, and made me look forward to my next summer cycling trip in Europe.
Thanks Peter! We do need a bit more sun in the UK lately... :) Heading South on your trip?
A beautiful route. Thanks for filming.
Yes. Was mostly following the Rhine on EuroVelo 15.
Non avevo mai visto un video di 35 minuti. Questo, invece, è volato via: un piacere per gli occhi e per il cuore. Grazie di averlo condiviso.
Molto gentile Pino! Mille grazie.
Another truly beautiful trip! I cannot wait for covid to be over so my wife and I can travel again. Well done.
Thanks Tim! Wish you and your wife great rides and hopefully we won't have to wait too long...
Wonderful video, I am so envious ... I have travelled solo by motorcycle often and visited many of those lovely places myself and it brought back great memories and a desire for another trip. To do all that on a Brompton ... well massive respect and I am going to watch it all over again!
Thanks a lot! On this route with the bike you get a chance to get through lots of forests and cycleways that made it really enjoyable. It just takes a little longer!
And nice smells and sounds added in.
Thank you for sharing this video, Gianni. Breathtakingly beautiful and enjoyable, as always.
My pleasure! Thanks for the comment.
Absolutely fantastic video. Stumbled across it in my usual search for biking stuff. I would love to do this journey. Stunning scenery and what looks like amazing cycleways. Music is superb. We'll done fella. Inspires me to want to get a Brompton also haha. Thank you 👍👍👍
Cheers! They are good and fun bikes to ride.
I started watching your videos. I took my wife to a Brompton store. I asked her if she would like to do some Brompton touring in England or Holland/Belgium. She said a big emphatic yes!! I'm so stoked!! Your videos are very inspiring! I love how easy it is to fold up the Bromp and take a train or bus if you change plans, or it rains, or whatever. Keep up the great work!!
These are the comments I like most Jerry! I hope you will also enjoy it as much as I do. All the countries you mentioned, have very nice and 'mostly' flat rides where the Brompton excels. Have fun.
This is the most Beautiful and Wonderful bicycles travel videos I've ever seen in years. The Music corresponded so well with your video. Great photography, thank you so much.
Glad you enjoyed it, most kind.
Epic ride! Another beautifully made video - thanks for sharing 🌟🤗
Thank you very much Amanda!
Wonderful journey! Thank you for sharing. Can't wait until the time when I am able to just take a month to go cycling. When the last kid is out of the house? For now, I am lucky, if I can sneak in a week-long trip. Certainly beautiful landscape you crossed. What an inspiration!
Thanks Jens! All that time off was a luxury for myself too. Usually I manage to take about 3 weeks off for my trips.
I am SO ENVIOUS! Absolutely beautiful country! Thank you for tour, excellent video recordings!
Thank you very much Chuck!
I have traveled on my Brompton through the Netherlands and upto Denmark. As I get older the Brompton was replaced by bigger bikes. Now inspired by you and your videos which are a nice anti dote for this COVID menace , I will venture out. Many thanks for brightening our days.
More than welcomed! Thanks for the comment and let's hope we can get back to riding and traveling soon...
I have only recently discovered your channel and I'm obsessed! Thank you for the great content. Ben (London UK)
Thanks Ben! Hopefully that will lead to some very nice trips...!
Thank you for sharing this unique cycling experience. This is very inspiring and motivating. Just a suggestion, but I think this type of video would be very therapeutic for people of all ages including children, who are physically grounded due to illness or laid up in hospital (especially those who love to cycle). It takes you on a journey of freedom, movement and adventure. I loved the parts filmed from the saddle. I have a Brompton with the same handlebars and I really felt part of the journey. I know that if I ever became unable to ride my Brompton, this would be the type of escapism and inspiration I would seek.
Most appreciated Dorothy, thanks! I wish you many many years of joyful rides on your Brompton.
Glad you’re back! Always enjoyed your videos.
Appreciated. Thanks!
Another gem. I’d like to heap additional praise onto you for this video but enough has been piled by others more articulate than me. And beside, I’m concerned you’ll get a swelled head and your signature hat will no longer fit. I will add your clips are as good as anything on UA-cam. So darn well done!
Thanks again! What else can I say 😊
Wonderful!!! I’m so inspired by your journey, thank you for sharing your beautiful trip with us ❤️❤️❤️
So kind! Thanks
Another beautiful trip! I'm amazed at how many places you can travel safely away from cars. Here in New Jersey I take my life in my hands every time I head out because of rude and uneducated drivers. With all the sad things happening here right now this video is another example of how far we need to go as a nation.
Hi Doug, even in Europe there are differences within regions. What I followed here is a network of rides called Eurovelo which are a great way to cross Europe and are mostly on dedicated cycleways. I loved touring in the US too but as soon as you get closer to cities you are better off the bike so I know what you mean.
Super film. Absolutely beautiful scenery. I have owned a Brompton for 20 years but never cycled anything more than short journeys.
Many thanks! That you have owned one for such a long time says something by itself. They are fun and reliable little bikes.
Amazing foldtrip! You inspire me. Thank you for videos!
Thanks Gil.
These videos are like a breath of fresh air and truly a joy to watch - you have another (well earned) subscriber.
Cheers Paul! Most appreciated.
What a wonderful ride. There seemed to be many flat and off-road trails at the beginning so ideal for a Brompton.
Thanks Linda! Yes, all those cycleways down the Rhine were wonderful on a Brompton as they were smooth enough when they were gravel.
Hello Gianni, I have no words to comment on the beautiful trip and the beautiful images along with the music also selected for those views, just to tell you that it relaxes me a lot to travel although I see you through those beautiful cities and those beautiful views, I repeat your videos with often when I want to disconnect from the routine, greetings and thanks for sharing your trips, I wish you all the best and I hope you continue to publish more trips, take care 😊👍☘️ (could you pass me the title of your book, I did not know you had published a book)
Mithu, so kind of you! Your comment means a lot and I hope you will find my. Future trips too interesting and relaxing. Many thanks!
Book?!!! 🙀 There’s a book? That would undoubtedly be just Perfect! I’m working on getting a ‘Brompie’ myself - how I found you. It’s October. Late in the season, bikes sold out. Would like electric assist option. Any tips on which bike, handy equipment?
@@lonestarlaurel I use a standard 6 gears reduced M6L Brompton. The only thing I add is a comfortable Brooks B17 saddle and a Ergon GP2 grip for hands comfort. If you go through some videos I posted I go into details about stuff I carry while touring, how I pack it and so on. The book was published last November. It is not a manual on touring with a Brompton but a travel book where I tell the stories behind the videos you see here. Thanks!
What a beautiful trip, thank you very much for sharing them, I feel that I am traveling on that Brompton.
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks
Love everything in your video; if you add the days it took to bike to each of your locations at bottom would be nice too. Did you camp out or stay in hotels, etc? And the chest shots were great perspective, like I was riding along while you did all the work. Thanks!
Thanks Tobe. This trip was 28 days in total and 25 days riding. It was in June last year in the midst of the pandemic so the only time I could use a hotel was in Rotterdam. The rest was camping mostly in campsites and some wild camping. In my experience the chest harness is the best and most stable view when filming on the bike. Cheers.
So beautiful journey! Thank you for brought us withh you!
Thanks!
Bravo Gianni!! Eres un campeón!! Impresionante viaje.
El señor chino del Google transletor genial!😁
Muchas gracias! Si. El chino was a friendly and lovely man...just dealing with an awful bout of mistranslating AI....Those encounters make bike touring fun and they add up
Traveller, you are amazing to venture out with a folding city bike. No electricity to help you...All the way from UK to Italy.. Your videos are indeed beautiful. No rain.. God bless! A question I have is would the journey be easier if you had a bigger big wheel 26 inch bike... Don’t know! NRN!
Yes, a bike with larger wheels and maybe more gears would make it a little bit more comfortable. Usually the benefit of Brompton is if you have to take it on a plane or train or bus... On this occasion I only took the bike back on a plane on my return journey. This route though is easy as there are not too many mountains to climb and a Brompton is more than capable in these conditions. Thanks
It is not easy to make such a nice travelling video. Lots of efforts needed. Great job and thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching!
Very nice video! Respect for doing it on such a small bike! Top!
Thanks a lot!
I just got a dahon from my local bike shop here in Chicago no I feel happy I can travel all over the country and do eroupean and Asian bike tours unfold And start rideing folding bikes are the coolest and the best I wish they were more seen in America
Nice Laura. Wish you some great trips then!
Chapeau! Beautifully filmed
Many thanks!
What a great journey! I would like to do some of that myself. I cycled the Hebrides way in Scotland and joined up with a Brompton cyclist I met at the start.
That is also on my list for a future tour! I am waiting for good weather :)
Congratulations 🎊. One of my dream of my bucket list to cycle around my country 🇵🇭 🇯🇵. Very inspiring. Can't wait for my Brompton.
I will do Japan one day for sure! I often come to Tokyo but would like to cycle Hokkaido first!
Again: Great pictures, nice music and gorgeous places. Greetings from a german Brompton-Driver (still not a -traveler P.S. Impressive topspeed ;)
Most appreciated! They are fun little bikes. I try to not be too fast downhill. I would say max 50Km. In my videos at time I speed up the frames so it looks as if I am going like a bullet when I am not... I find on a Brompton downhill one has to be always very careful... Thanks
Useful tip. Oops, wrong word? lolol
Straordinario! Hai fatto quello che sogno di fare da tempo: tornare in Italia in bici! Il tuo video è di grande ispirazione, grazie mille! Forse ci provo la primavera prossima, Inverness - Belluno! :)
Ciao Alberto, mille grazie. In fondo basta trovare il tempo...Poi da Inverness vuol dire aggiungere una decina di giorni a occhio! Un giorno sono sicuro lo farai! Un giorno verrò a Inverness per fare la North 500 o le outer Hebrides... Saluti
Lovely 🎥 ... thanks for taking us along for the ride👋🇨🇦
Always a pleasure as I enjoy the filming and editing part too. Thanks for watching and enjoy your future Brompton!
My Daughter Emma and a friend are traveling in Europe...they Rented E bikes in Florence and rode out into the Italian countryside and I must say what a beautiful part of the world you live in .They where leaving Rome today and on there way to Greece.. Ah to be young! Safe Travels Gianni and look forward to next film ...long wait for Bromptons but fingers crossed they arrive soon🤞
Ciao
I’ve always really enjoyed your Brompton travel videos. Very pleasantly surprised to see you go through our Suffolk village on this one!
I see! I loved Suffolk villages and the Stour river! Which was the village if I may ask?? Cheers
Brompton Traveler Bures, the river Stour flows through the village.
@@mikemagowan5005 I remember it well as I stopped by the river and at the the church there. Wonderful village to live in.
Tremendous work , thank you . Incredible what you can achieve on a 6 speed Brompton , liked and subbed . I live in Cornwall but looking to take a long term rental in Lucca in October next year .
Thanks a lot Tim! Plenty of good rides in both Cornwall and Tuscany. October in Lucca is great month to ride as summers are a little too hot! Enjoy.
Not many towns in England still have the original stone cobbles or sets, quite prevalent on your journey, thanks for posting.
True Robert. They are still everywhere in old towns in the Continent. Cheers
More reason to have a B17 seat, 🔖
Gianni, thank you for sharing, yet another spectacular journey. For some reason I always thought you were based in the US, only to realise that you are in the UK! In anycase good job on another fine video.
Thanks a lot. Happy you enjoyed it.
26:23 incredible scence no comment describe how is lovely thank you again for this great video 👍🏻
Thanks Moe! That little girl on a bike was wonderful to see.
New bike! Another lovely film, thank you :)
Yes! Still a Brompton and it still worked exceptionally well all the way... Cheers
Gianni i tuoi video sono di una bellezza spettacolare. Grazie ancora per i consigli che mi hai dato tempo fa. Buona avventura
Grazie mille!
Love this video. No talking. Just nice scenery.
That is what I think...also I can't stand hearing my voice!
Beautiful. If we were only younger . . . We love our Bromptons but this is beyond a dream for us.
If you own Bromptons I am sure you will make the most of them, whatever that might take you. Many thanks!
Inspiring, great videos great music! 👌
Appreciated, thanks! Especially the music bit, as it is always hard to source copyright free but still decent background music!
@@BromptonTraveler thanks, have a safe adventure, your videos are sublime 👌
Thanks for the video worth of my Christmas treat
Most kind, thanks!
Perfect! What more can I say~
I've been riding brompton for almost 10 years in Seoul, S Korea.
but today I envy you~ : )
Thanks Domi. Hope to do the River cycleway in South Korea one day too :)
Your videos are simply works of art. This latest one being a prime example. You seem to go by the mantra "less is more," that is, less talk, less narration. You let your scenery, and your music, do the speaking. With very few other videographers would I spend 34 minutes - and fewer still would make videos this enchanting. Thanks.
You made my day Stephen! I don't think I deserve those compliments but that you liked it is already enough, thanks! I do try my best and edit videos that let the scenery speak rather than having my face splashed all over it and my voice getting in the way. Due to limitations of riding mostly solo, I do have to use those shots of my 'mug' while I ride but they are a way to bring some variation rather than a vain attempt to impress anyone! Voice over I find are at times helpful to describe situations and I have used them in the Patagonia trip. Otherwise less is more is for sure one of the guiding principles in my life. Regards
Enchanted. Delighted. Inspired. Grateful. Wonderful job on the videography, and the music too. And a Brampton. Who knew.
Let me echo Stephen Shultz’s comment. ❤️ 👍👍
@@lonestarlaurel Cheers!
OMG! you're such an inspiration Gianni! I'm about to buy my Brompton and I just can't get enough of your videos. How many km did you decide to ride daily? Did you also spend a full day or 2 in a given city to really enjoy its energy and stock up on yours as well ? Do you travel on your own? Because you have some amazing pictures and shootings there, I was wondering if you had someone else recording you as well. All the best your lovely channel😍
Many thanks! Ideally I like 70 to 80k. I did days of 40 and a few over 120k depending on ease of road, wind and places to stay. I rested a couple of times, in Strasbourg and I’ve at a German lake due to being rainy. I travel and shoot on my own, at times I ask people I meet and in Holland a friend was with me two days and he did a little. Thank you!
epic trip 👏🏻 love the scenery 👌
Many thanks!
Whenever I jump on my Brompton I dream about longer trips on it, and think of your vids. It really can get into any small space. It's all doable.
Exactly! The perfect bike for that. Go for it!
I have done that ferry trip from UK to Holland many times. For future reference, It is actually much better, faster and more convenient to go on as a foot passenger with it. Once you get through passport control, unfold it and then you can actually wheel it all the way up to your cabin. Then you have your precious Brompton at your side at all times. Hope that helps. Cool video.
Thanks for that Colin. If I ever do it again I know what to do! I did it in June 2020 and passengers were so few that it went very smooth anyway. I can imagine what that boat can be like when busy...Like you say though it is not worth risking a Brompton when you don't have to! ;)
@@BromptonTraveler No problem. Your videos are a true inspiration 😀
Another great video, thanks Gianni
Many thanks Larry!
Gianni, another fantastic trip, And such a great video, thanks for putting it together and sharing it. I was particularly impressed with all the quiet cyclways and paths you were riding on, good to know that there are route availble for long distance trips. Sustrans routes are great when they are, but so often short and lucky to get over 20 miles before hitting a busy road. I was also really enjoying some of the music backing the video, do you have a list of the artists?
Thanks a lot Neil! Most appreciated. I haven't cycled much on Sustrans here in the UK but over the pond they have quite a few Eurovelo which are mostly on cycleways, and cross Europe from all directions. The one I cycled most on this trip was Eurovelo 15 which follows the Rhine river to the source in Switzerland. Good to hear about the music as it is always really hard to find copyright free music. I mostly use www.epidemicsound.com for all the tracks but don't have a list of artists at hand. Thanks
@@BromptonTraveler Is anybody knows music track on 5:15, it would be great. Very nice music.
Brilliant brilliant video...thoroughly enjoyed watching...
Happy to hear. Thanks
ciao Gianni, viaggio stupendo. Mi sono gustato ogni minuto della tua fantastica avventura! Poca cosa per te...ma hai un nuovo iscritto!🙂
Grazie Alessandro!
Wow it's beautiful journey. Look forward to follow your route. Nice
It's a great route Jessica. Very easy too as it follows the Rhine so it is pretty much all flat.
England-Holland-Germany-Alsace-Rhine-Austria-Germany(yet again!)-Austria(briefly again)-Italy. Wow! Epic 😁!!! And beautifully put together! Even at almost the age of 71 (though a youthful 71), it inspires me to gradually get back on form, and start using my Brommy to do some serious solo biking trips. I have already much of the equipment required. I just have to get it out of the mothballs after years of disuse (hoping it hasn't been moth-eaten 😨).
I must say: I thoroughly envy your apparent effortlessness when you reach the mountains (heavily loaded to boot) 😵. I thought you were travelling in an easterly direction with a view to skirting them. No way!!
Well, I was heading home which is just beyond the Austrian Alps into Italy. It is pretty add to go around them without adding 500 miles or so! :) I do like climbing though even though on a Brompton I am pretty slow... I hope you get to spin the wheels of your Brompton again soon. Thanks
@@BromptonTraveler I spin them regularly but at the moment on *very* short journeys. In more normal times, 40k return journey is a regular (i.e. weekly - occasionally 2x weekly) trip but nothing greater than that. I need to start getting seriously regular, i.e. short daily outings gradually increasing the mileage, in order to build up the form. Then when I have some reasonable base form, starting with a one-day outing slowly get a bit more ambitious.
Btw I've sent you a message on your website with my email address as requested.
Btw Rovereto looks like a lovely, idyllic place to be able to call home 😄
@@Muddy283 It is! I used to hate as a kid as it was far too quiet and boring but the older I get the more I appreciate it and plan to get back one day. Good weather, wine, mountains and lakes. Love the UK too which also feels a lot like home after quite a few years... :) Cheers
@@BromptonTraveler So you live in the UK?
What a great pleasure to have found your channel!
Travel the world watching your videos with good music and a lot of simplicity
Thank you so much!!! Did you do Via Francigena?
Thanks Gabriela! I think I crossed Via Francigena briefly between Austria and Italy but that part of the trip was not following a specific route. From Rotterdam down to Switzerland I pretty much followed Eurovelo 15 which follows the river Rhine. Thanks.
Beautiful and Calming all together.
Many thanks!
What a spectacular video. It's bumped California video to number two place, in my view. Also, what a super way to avoid bargain flights to Bergamo from Stanstead. (Nothing wrong with Bergamo except the traffic). :) Thanks again Signor Brompton!
It did cost a little bit more than a single trip on Ryanair to Orio al Serio but was way more fun! :) I have lived in the UK a long time and it was always a bit of a dream to one day cycle home... Cheers
I love these types of videos, just beautiful scenery and bicycles 🚲😍
Happy to hear! Thanks
This looks like a dream. Love it! 😁
Many thanks!
A lovely dream. No doubt your commentary would be interesting but, frankly, I so enjoy the chatterless, music only, quietude. Let me add that you have a real gift with the music. Video entirely enjoyable.
That was amazing, very enjoyable movie. Excellent weather also.
Thanks Mick! It was mid June to mid July so ideal season but I must say weather cooperated nicely! I think over a month all I had were 2 days of rain...
Nice to see you again traveling. Ride safe and keep pedaling!:) I hope someday our path will cross so that I can meet you personally and thank you for being one of my inspiration to start traveling using the bike.:) I'm supposed to do it last April but the situations came up so decided to postpone it, but I will try here in UAE first as my preparations.
Wonderful to have inspired you! Happy rides.
@@BromptonTraveler I will!:) Thanks again:)

Many thanks Craig! This one was very easy as for most of it I followed a network of bike routes that criss cross Europe, called Eurovelo. They do go through little towns and are also away from traffic and bike friendly.
Brompton Traveler fantastic thanks 🙏 we are hoping to do Eurovelo 15 and half of Eurovelo 6 next year... we were supposed to be their this year ... but Covid messed that up 😂👍 stay safe
See, saving you some work - one big question answered already 😎
Loved this. What a stunning trip! How did you manage to find so many beautiful off-road paths?
In Europe we are spoilt for cycle paths and cycling routes that cross the continent in all directions. On this particular trip I mostly followed one such cycle route called Eurovelo 15. It follows the Rhine river from Holland to the Swiss alps and has a lot of sections with a smooth off road and you can ride with no traffic for almost the full length of it. Cheers.
Have never wanted to start riding more than now, hahah. As someone that never really learned properly (despite riding a motorcycle for a while), these videos have really got me thinking that I should pick up a Brompton. I saw a friend with one recently, started looking into it and saw how many people were taking these amazing adventures. Have you any experience with the Explore model? I live in the countryside with a lot of old lanes and trails, so figure that would be the way to go. Thank you for uploading such a lovely video.
Thanks, most appreciated! I think explorer is a bit of a gimmick and marketing which Brompton does quite well. Unless money is no issue go for a regular M6R with reduced gears if you want to go over hills! Very reliable and good bikes to carry along in any type of travel.
@@BromptonTraveler Ahhhh, now that's good advice, thank you sir! Yeah so long as it can handle those gravelly country lanes, that would be great! 😺🙏
