Man what a great video! For newer and older players alike 👍 Light/shadow makes a huge difference in the stats/strength of characters. And it's very important to invest those points wisely. I think the subscription services are worth it for that reason, getting 10 or 20 light shadow a month for any character you like. 🙂 Agreed about grinding Aldo's light. He will ALWAYS be relevant as the protagonist, and his skill strength corresponds to light points. 👌 Like you with Suzette, I invested many points into Tiramisu early on because I can carry her into any dungeon for grinding and have enough light/shadow points for all of the rewards. It's good advice, like you said, for newer players to think about and invest points wisely into characters that will not only be relevant for a while, but will help in with grinding and receiving all rewards in dungeons. Also characters with ES forms can receive 2 types of points . . . For Example my Miyu is currently getting light from both sword and lance. This can level them up considerably quicker. I also agree about using keys for multiple resources. Like green keys in Garulea for not only light/shadow, but for grasta as well. Or red keys for Clarte's shadow, but also moon realm gear. 👌 Very insightful video, great work. ✊

@@jrpgwow I think Clarte is an excellent choice for investing time to upgrade. Aldo is my first choice, because he's our protagonist. Clarte is second because if you're grinding light for Aldo, Clarte will alternatively give you a high total shadow count. Also He's very powerful, fits into a lot of meta teams (magic/crystal/sea of stars and so on), and versatile as a healer in NS and DPS in AS. Also I see him continuing to be updated with an ES, manifests and so forth. Idk. Maybe there's a better choice for a shadow character to upgrade. I just saw him as a good choice immediately when he was introduced in Western Mythos a while back, and have continued to invest in him since then. Also his dungeons provide materials for, what I still consider, excellent weapons and especially armor. I think moon realm gear is still the best in the game with added 40-50 pts to MP and all status resistance. 💪 I have it on everyone 😄

I do the same, but with Mayu, it's simple, because SHE'S ALREADY CURED; I cried so much during IDA School 2😭😭, her dad hard worked for his research to save her life; she was helpless, but after Completing Apex of Logic, I can finally use her at 100%. For my sensitive heart, it was a wonderfull reward. It's absolutely FORBIDDEN to ignore her.🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
Very informative video, keep it up! I personally have couple of maxed out units .. ( suzette included lol ) and personally I think the most important thing is the additional grasta at 200 Light/shadow .. imagine having an additional pain grasta there ! .. I'd say go for : Aldo Clarte Gariyu Azami or curio ( although at the end game curio's only benefit to me is preemptive Break & Poison + initiating another zone , so you might want to farm azami for her damage if you want to shift between her and suzette for Wind DPS ) The rest are not needed that much unless you want grasta slaves and do lack strong DPS in their respective element ( AS yipha is a MUST in that case ... Because she can turn any unit to a meta damage wise )

5:45 That's wrong the chance of getting light/shadow on Toto Theater World is actually higher than farming a character specific dungeon. Both have 1/5 (= 20%) chance of getting 1 point but Toto will do another 1/5 (1/25 = 4% or 1/5 * 1/5) and if you get it it will give you 2 points then it'll do another 1/5 check (1/125 = 0.8% or 1/5 * 1/5 * 1/5) and see if it gives you 3 points. Those points will be distributed to any free character you have on your party, if you only have 1 then that character will get the 3 points.
I used my Guiding Light Sword and Bow for Claude, but I also need them for Aldo and Cerius, I was thinking of using the episode drops and collabs for Cerius, Aldo I'll take him to the Toto Teather world because they give a lot of High class scrolls that I finished
I have terrible luck with actually grinding out light/shadow points. 😔 These days I try to farm light/shadow as a secondary objective. Like run Clarte's dungeons specifically for weapons/armor and if I happen to get a shadow point along the way, cool. 😄 Or grinding for grasta materials and if I happen to get a point for someone else, yay. 😆 Otherwise if I'm just grinding for points alone I get disheartened. I haven't really tried Toto yet. 🤔 Maybe my luck would improve there. On the flip side... if I keep pulling dupes of Emms, they'll be at 255 before long and I can put light points wherever I want. 😀 😆😆😆
😂😂 I think your sole objective should be to aim for 255 light point Emms. Like mentioned in my vid, I’m enjoying farming from Beast King’s castle as I can get materials for Flammelapis, Orleya and Victor’s VC grasta, and Feinne’s shadow points come as a secondary benefit. I also forgot to encourage people to play the Chrono Cross dungeons because not only can you get light/shadow points, you can also unlock their VC grastas at a particular point. If you try Toto, there’s a 20% chance of getting a light or shadow point so might as well give it a go! Took me about 7 turns before I got anything though.
255 Emmsssss let's goooo! ✊😄 I actually don't mind dupes. Kinda used to them at this point. It can be a little sad not pulling a new character. But like you said, even golden door dupes add that light/shadow. And honestly the characters that have a little more points seem to be considerably more powerful. I've got several gatcha characters that I've picked...like Nagi, Melina, Miyu, that I'm investing enough points in to try and get the extra badge/grasta slots. And it's made them reeeeaallly buff! 😄 Yeah, I've spent a lot of time grinding out mats for gear and grasta. I still need to work on grasta, but I'm actually going to start concentrating more on getting some of those VC grasta myself and upgrading those as well.
Big thing I think you didn't mention: farm STRAWBOY's light points. Get him to level 80 and reincarnate him, he gains a point. Dump all your scrolls into him and bring him in your party all the time with a 50% exp badge. This is the fastest and easiest way to hit 360 points for Garulea dungeons. Also, its Garulea. Ga-ru-le-a (lay-a). Not ga-ru-el-la as you say it.
@@jrpgwow I'd say he's underpowered for the current meta, but perhaps usable in certain specific creative or meme strategies. He is a useful grasta holder however with Fists and Eastern personality, so having that extra fourth slot when he's over 200 light can be very useful.
Is there a general rule for prioritizing what units I should be spending these points on? Like do I just look at the tier list and spam them into characters that are higher rated or do I just put them into whatever ones I like?
A bit of both! And I’d keep aware of who they’re updating. For example they just gave Aldo Stellar awakening, meaning you need 80 light points to make the most of his new skills. And his skills become more powerful the more light points he has. Suzette and Tsukiha are also getting stellar awakened so having 30-80 points for them will be of benefit to you. All new characters will probably be stellar awakened also so they’ll need a bunch of points.

Im sad cause Miyu AS is close to 200 but I still haven’t unlocked princess 🥲🥲🥲 I tried her with lvl 80 Yipha AS buff… she hit 4 million each strike with her skill ❤ Though Eva with the same buff hits around the same with Icicle Zorch and she’s only at 60 light 🤔 (But Miyus dmg only goes up with more usages……) I’m obsessed I know… 🫠
