A really interesting video idea would be what if everything went perfect for Poland? Depending on what’s changed there could be some very interesting results.
Poland-Lithuania or modern Poland?
@@aaronTGP_3756 Just Poland in general, it’d just depend on how long or in depth the video would be. Even before those eras there’s a lot of opportunities to change things with the Teutonic Order, Russia, and a potential union with Hungary.
“Against all conceivable odds, the Polish Calvary charges routed the German panzers when Jesus Christ himself came down from the heavens and blessed the Pope’s rifles.”
I (self explanatory why) would love to see that
I think that an interesting one would be a Union with Hungary but not Lithuania
I think this would boost Sweden's chanses at winning the Great Norther War because with habsburg domination lowerd/gone The Ottomans would be in a stronger position and it was close that the Ottomans joined Sweden's side in the great nothern war. Plus with Gustav Adolf not dying in the 30 years war he would be able to rule and possible create a stronger Sweden
I figured something similar, I can see Sweden and the Ottomans actually materialising their good relations into a permanent military alliance to counter Russia and keep the HRE/Germans in check. Frankly, I even see France and Sweden deciding to work together rather to ensure the British, Prussians, Poles and Russians do not eclipse their dominance instead of becoming rivals - thus creating an informal triple alliance between them as France and the Ottomans were already established longstanding allies.
I can see that happening
As a Czech I see this as an absolute win.
We shouldn't forget the still large presence of the Hussites (radical Christians who came before the actual Protestants in the 1300's) within Bohemia (aka now Czechia 🇨🇿) and how their church could survive and possibly spread out as they thrive.

Perhaps a Protestant equivalent to the Catholic Church.

@@richarderikssonhjelm8838 Fair point and there was actually a point in time where both Orthodox AND Protestant Christianity could have united as a singular church structure! Unfortunately, both sides saw eachother as equally heretical and ejected such proposals! :(

Possible history. Ive got a few scenarios for you.
1).What if India began liberalization and industrialization in the 50s instead of the 90s ? How would this affect china as the west can find cheap labour in India , a decade or two earlier than the Chinese cheap labour. What other butterflies would it lead to ? How developed would India be today with 40 more years of economic growth?
2). What if the world of 'The Peshawar Lancers ' by S.M Stirling was real ?
3). What if north India became completely or majority islamic by 1900 or earlier ???
Pls make a video on any of these if you are interested
What if the world of 'The Peshawar Lancers ' by S.M Stirling was real ?
Whats this about 👆
@@lunalingo4461 it's an alternate history novel by sm Stirling where an asteroid hits the earth in 1876 and causes a nuclear winter. Millions of PPL flee europe for thier colonies. British to india , french to Algeria , Russians to central asia, etc. 150 yrs later they have assimilated into thier colonies culture. The British Empire for example has become the Angrezi Raj
If India had embarked on liberalization and industrialization in the 1950s, the impact could have been significant for India, China and the global economy. The following are some possible impacts and developments that could occur:
Impact on India:
1. Earlier and Faster Economic Growth:
- Economic liberalization in the 1950s would open India to foreign investment early, taking advantage of cheap labor and abundant resources.
- Earlier industrialization will encourage faster development of infrastructure, technology and manufacturing capabilities.
- India may experience more consistent and rapid economic growth over the next 40 years.
2. Infrastructure and Technology Development:
- Infrastructure development such as roads, ports and railway networks will be more advanced and widespread.
- Technology and innovation in various sectors such as agriculture, industry and services will develop more rapidly.
3. Urbanization and Poverty Reduction:
- Urbanization will increase rapidly, creating more large cities with better facilities.
- Poverty levels will decrease more quickly with increasing employment opportunities and income.
Impact on China, Competition for Cheap Labor:
- If India opens its economy earlier, Western countries may prefer India as a manufacturing base because of the cheap labor available earlier than China.
- China may face stiffer competition to attract foreign investment.
How Advanced is India Today with 40 Years of Economic Growth:
1. GDP and Per Capita Income:
- India's GDP is likely to be much higher than today's 10 trillion or even 15 trillion, with a significant increase in per capita income.
- India may already be one of the largest economies in the world, approaching or even surpassing China in some economic indicators.
2. Industrial Development:
- India will become a global manufacturing hub early, with dominance in sectors such as textiles, information technology and electronics.
- The services sector, especially information technology, is likely to grow faster, making India a global leader in IT services.
I would like to recommend a concept for a new series you could do. The idea is that you take the place of a historical leader, and you choose what decisions to make as that historical leader based on what would be the most beneficial for the nation the historical leader you chose ruled over. The way you would go about doing this is you would base your decisions off of the knowledge you had at your disposal at the time. For example, you could do a video where you take the place of Louis XIV and you choose how you would expand the size, influence and power of France in the 17th and 18th centuries. Or you could take the place of Louis XV and decide how you could preserve the French empire in America and India. Perhaps you could even take the place of Louis XVI and decide how you could prevent the french revolution if you were in his position. A criticism you could levy at this idea is that it’s too similar to the series you’re already doing on “What if everything went perfectly for X”, but I disagree. Firstly, this series is about making decisions as a single person, not for an entire nation over the course of hundreds of years. Secondly, with your “What if everything went perfectly for X” series, you utilize the benefit of hindsight. With this series, you limit yourself to the knowledge of your chosen leader. You Don’t HAVE to do it this way, you could utilize the benefit of hindsight for this series too, but limiting yourself this way would help differentiate this series from your “What if everything went perfectly for X” series. You might as well try this idea on for a video and see how it performs. If it performs badly, you don’t have to continue it. But if it performs well, you could have another successful series on your hands. It is low risk, high reward. With how many historical leaders there are, the possibilities for this series are limitless! Some ideas for historical leaders to make videos on are Seleucus, Justinian, Louis the Pious, John I, Charles V, Phillip II of Spain, Charles XII, Peter III, Napoleon, Charles X, Napoleon III, Kaiser Wilhelm II, and so many more!
This is an excellent idea. I hope PH sees your comment and does as suggested.
Yea this is a really good idea.
You have really had it with Austria lately man!
Cant wait for their turn in the perfect series!😊😊😊😊😊😊
Austria 🇦🇹 is OK 👍🏼
Prussian would be kicked out of German affairs.
A great video idea would be what if Manuel Komnenos won the Battle of Myriokephalon and completed the Komnenian restoration of the Eastern Roman Empire
Honestly, that's not the PoD I would go for for Manuel Komnenos. Winning that specific battle and taking Iconium (which was the original goal of the campaign) would not have changed things overly much. It would've weakened the Sultanate of Rum for a time sure, but it would not have led to the natural restoration of Roman control over the Plateau. This is because the Turks weren't overly reliant on cities and were steppe horse archers and you generally don't beat steppe horse archers in set piece battles.
And frankly, the setup for the Battle of Myriokephalon was terrible and the campaign was almost doomed from the start.
The better PoD would be 15 years previously when Manuel chose to make peace with the Turks and shift his focus westward for the next fifteen years and make him choose instead to keep grinding on the Turks. Because that's how you defeat them, by ingloriously grinding away at them by campaigning into Turkish held lands year after year.
Even better would be to have Manuel execute Andronikos Komnenos for one of his various treasonous acts. Popular history likes to blame the Angeloi for the 4th Crusade and the sack of Constantinople, but it was actually Andronikos that did the real damage. Isaac Angelos was just the wrong man for the job for dealing with the mess left by Andronikos. He would've made for a decent Emperor in better times.
Better: Manuel Komnenos is just as focused on Anatolia as his father John II, rather than wasting time against Hungarian campaigns and adventures in Egypt and Norman Sicily. Then perhaps, a full reconquest could be done.
I'm almost certain that this scenario would lead to Sweden 🇸🇪 becoming a European juggernaut, if not on the continent, then on the Baltic as a whole. They already proved themselves empire material with King Gustavus Adolphus, so it's likely that the Swedes would be more prepared if the Great Northern war were to happen. The Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth may also be more weakened with this victory, leading to an earlier partition perhaps.
They could have leveraged a lot of german allies aswell that viewed them as protectors from the catholics.
i still think swedens population would stunt their growth
@@confusedmango6557Still, they'd be better prepped.
Not necessarily. Bohemia had close ties to Poland for centuries, meaning that with the removal of the Habsburgs and Poland-Lithuania's far more lenient religious policies, it is not impossible for the Bohemian nobility to elect the king of Poland as king of Bohemia, considering a Polish prince was elected king of Hungary and Bohemia after George and Mathias died and the two kingdoms could've stayed united if not for Mohacs. And even without that, sandwiched between Austria and Brandenburg-Prussia, Bohemia is quite likely to align with Poland, threatening Brandenburg and Austria, while also providing a distraction to let Poland fight any attackers on more equal grounds.
Pog!!!
I would love to see a timeline where england is bound to the HRE, so much could be possible, imagine a giant germany stretching from prussia to england

Hi! I know your channel through Videntis! And this video is amazing! And I like how much more possible it is for the Ottoman Empire to survive into modern age in this timeline! Thank you!
There is no chance an Ottoman Empire of that size would survive, particularly retaining its more volatile Slavic and Greek territories. Inevitably, the Russians will come knocking at their door. Assuming Russian expansion occurs similarly in our timeline, the Ottomans and Swedes would likely work together as another comment pointed out, so perhaps Russian expansion into Ottoman territories may not be as expansive or even repelled.
Despite the Tsarist threat, the rise of ethno-nationalism and an unclear path to building a unified national identity amongst the multicultural citizens will result in quite a fair bit of nationalist revolutions. We simply cannot predict whether the Ottoman administration will be able to figure out a way to appease all of its citizens - regardless if they were able to industrialise alongside with the other European powers.
@@Noor-rk9sf Well, they do not needed to keep the entirety of the Balkans. Just Albania and Bosnia are fine with me. What important here is that the Ottoman Empire continued to exist to make sure that the Middle East is stable.
@@lerneanlion fair enough. The state of the Middle East completely depends on three main factors:
1. Whether Turkish nationalists still hijack the Ottoman government and subsequently allow Turanists and fellow Turkish nationalists to oppress the non-Turks.
2. British, Russian and French colonial ambitions and if the Ottomans, through diplomacy and military might can successfully subvert these ambitions. Perhaps in this timeline, the French revolution resulted in a Bourbon constitutional monarchy, thus, the French military and elite were restricted in jeopardising their relations with the Turks unlike what happened in our timeline.
3. Arab nationalism, albeit, this was a direct response to the weakening Ottoman military, the sudden oppressive policies by Turkish military governors in late 1800's, ofc, British meddling and Egypt achieving full autonomy.
@@Noor-rk9sf If the Arabs wanted to leave, then a war between them and the Turks is inevitable. But as long as the other European powers did not come to mess things up, the Arabs may be able to draft the nation according to their own desires and as long as they recognized the Sultan in Constantinople as the Caliph.
@@lerneanlion that was already the system in place for Hejaz, Egypt and a lot of Arab vassals though. The Turks didn't directly governed Arabia outside of Levant and modern day Iraq. It was British intervention and a direct reaction Turkish nationalist elements in the Ottoman military governors that led to the upper class of these Arab states to declare sovereignty. Similar occurrences happened in the Balkans with either Russia or Austria-Hungary as the agitators instead of the British.

Interesting, but I really feel this tips the timeline towards Spain, Austria, Poland, and Russia teaming up against the Ottomans, while the HRE, Sweden, and England are busy in a staring match with France, while tentatively agreeing to leave Spain, Austria, Poland, and Russia alone, for the sake of weakening France by weakening the Ottomans.
Honestly I would see kind of the opposite effect. Like, Spain and Austria would probably be nearly completely focused on France, because a weak HRE means free space for France to expand into, so any major military action against the Ottomans could probably be exploited by an opportunistic France

This is a great video, Mr. Possible History. The Protestants winning the 30 years war made the Habsburgs lose their power and position in Emperorship of the HRE and not to mention paving the way for France to become a dominant power in Western Europe but being checked other European powers for fearing Europe being dominated by the French. Here are some engaging scenarios for future videos: What if Shedaze Musfta, son of Sultan Suleiman the Magnificent, had never been executed in order by his father and instead succeeded his father as the new Sultan of the Ottoman Empire? In what direction would Mustafa as Sultuan lead the Ottoman Empire? To what direction and how his reign be different than his predecessors? What would laws, reforms, and policies be like, and how beneficial would it be for the Ottoman Empire?
What if Herny VIII was elected to become the new Holy Roman Emperor of the Holy Roman Empire? How would the HRE be different under Herny VIII? Would the HRE and England unite some empire, and would there be a dual monarchy or personal union between the two countries? How did this affect the history of the British royal family?
What if the Mughal Empire never fell but remained stable, able to unify all of India and expand South Asia? Could a mighty Mughal Empire take some influence in the Middle East along with Africa and conquer Persia with its might? If so, what would be the consequences of Persia under the Mughals' control, and would there be a conflict with the Ottomans in the future?
Which of the three scenarios do you like best, Mr. Possible History? Which of the three of them are your favorite and why?
It's a very bad video, lol.

Would love to see a what if everything went perfect for Canada. Alternate history doesn’t often cover Canada unless it’s being annexed by America but I think there’s so really interesting possibilities. If Britain had been far more dominant in the war of 1812, that likely would’ve only led to minor territorial exchanges and really only northern Maine but it would’ve put them in a far better position for negotiations regarding the Columbia District a few years later. I would also assume that in the scenario where America doesn’t have any of that land, they don’t buy Alaska leasing to Britain annexing it from Russia during the Crimean War. Just some food for thought off the top of my head but it would definitely be an interesting scenario to look into

I'd love to see a vid on if the Great Heathen invasion went even better for the Vikings, giving Denmark full control over Britain. Obviously they wouldn't be able to hold it forever but a Britain culturally tied more to Northern Europe than Western (and one that probably never has the Norman invasion) would have interesting implications going forward
I also didn’t know Sweden fought in the 30 years war. I’d also love an everything perfect for Sweden video, as they once controlled much of Scandinavia and if they kept it I doubt they would have started their neutrality policy. Great vid, looking forward to more

@@henrybacolor2782 Sweden had some incredible military leadership, not only Gustavus Adolphus but Torstenson, Wrangel and Banér
I find it interesting that you didn't really comment on religious tensions going forward. Protestant Bohemia and Catholic Poland especially would be interesting states to consider when going into the modern era.
Perhaps in an attempt to keep Silesia in the days of rising nationalism, the Czech people would more widely embrace a pan-western-slav ideology, they might even be the power to ally with the Russians, possibly even the Prussians, in an attempt to divide Poland. The Prussians want the coast, the Russians want the Ruthenian/Orthodox areas and Bohemia could possibly claim central Poland and try to make a pan-nationalistic union state that could see them target Slovak and Sorb areas as well.
Maybe another way Prussia gains Silesia is by taking it during the peace deal, or by appealing to the bohemians by promising then land and/or money and protection against the austrians.
can be true, after 1620 battle of white mountain and Recatolization with new german settlers that strenght the population of "Sudetenland", wich in this alternate reality wouldnt be case, and only germans would settle from allied protestant countries to help repopulate some areas after 30 year war, wich would be more bilingual when protestant czechs used mostly reformed czech alphabet and literature from Jan Hus. this could led to better connections between germans and czechs, and not execution or deportation of czech nobles.

Going by that graph of population at the 10 minute mark, really concerned by the fact that the low countries have as many people as Poland, but also it's actually a bit curious why Italy, France, and Spain all had populations that fell off a cliff as they're now less than or equal to the population of the UK.
Also the really low population of Poland (seriously what are you doing with so much unsettled land?), explains a lot about why the swedes were able to conquer so much.

He forgot to account for the often forgotten factor - Lithuanians being batsht insane. He was like "oh, and then the Baltic gets claimed, anyways...", but forgot what really happened the last few times Lithuania got conquered. The civilians were just crazy patriotic and weren't having it, thousands of people dedicated and then sacrificed their lives to contraband books, that they then used to teach their children the language, so that it doesn't die, because the conquerors thought outlawing the language would kill the patriotism. They're weak, but their philosophy pretty much was "be more trouble than it's worth". They pretty much just annoyed superpowers into falling apart. xD /hj
A Protestant Bohemian king means Prussia doesn't have to fight for it. Royal marriages can eventually cause a Bohemian-Prussian Union. If Bohemia and Prussia cozy up, after this alternate war, Austria probably goes along with it because they know they can't afford to be fighting over that when they have the French to worry about. Either way, there is less pressure on Protestant nobles to convert, as some did in our timelime, and a few more Protestant nobles mean more options for Royal marriages which will also impact things.
If a PU, much more likely Bohemia would be the major partner.
Also right after 1620 battle of white mountain and Recatolization with new german settlers that strenght the population of "Sudetenland", wich in this alternate reality wouldnt be case, and only germans would settle from allied protestant countries to help repopulate some areas after 30 year war, wich would be more bilingual when protestant czechs used mostly reformed czech alphabet and literature from Jan Hus. this could led to better connections between germans and czechs, and not execution or deportation of czech nobles.
I thought it would be very likely that a Hohenzollern would be put onto the Bohemian throne right from the start, if just to create a clearer great power in the HRE against Austria. French protestants would emigrate to settle the relatively depopulated eastern and northern german lands, much like what happened in the 18th century. With France clearly on the protestant side, this could happen rather amicably - much like a colonialization of the new world, France would support emigration to further solidify their influence in the HRE. This might also lead to France actually developing a colonializing population, which it severely lacked in our time, meaning that French Louisiana and Canada actually becomes a big and important colony.
@@NeverEverClever No, it would _very_ obviously pass to Friedrich V. And no, France wouldn't "colonize" the HRE lol. And no, you got the French colonies surviving out of your.

Concludion: if protestants would have won the 30 years war, the Holly Roman Empiere would have deceased earlier and not in 1805, Napoles would have become independant from Spain and probably absrobed by France, as well as half of Belgium and Luxemburg with the cooperation of the Dutch and Catalonia and Milan would have fallen in French hands
was the crown thing a face reveal by any chance?
It irritates me that in this timeline Lusatia was still ceded to Saxony from Bohemia, as it makes absolutely no sense. Saxony gained Lusatia for helping the Habsburgs suppress the Bohemian revolts during the 30 years war, but in this timeline both the Saxons and Habsburgs of Austria lost the war, so they have no business having Lusatia, Lusatia should still lay within the Bohemian lands. Also, I highly doubt that Poland would attack Bohemia over Prussia, since Prussia wanted Silesia for its good borders on Poland. It is more likely that Poland would team up with Bohemia to crush Prussia once and for all and end its streak of good luck while also reclaiming their old territories back. I'm also uncertain if this weakened Austria would really want to push its luck by attacking Bohemia again since the Ottomans were still a huge threat to them in the south
Do what if Red Dawn was Re-enacted in the modern world
is it possible that without other powers to challenge France that they aid Sweden in the northern war to some degree to keep other powers splintered and to keep themselves as the strongest power in Europe?
Ah huuuh, no
Like HELL no, for the simple reason that France was ruled by Louis XIV for most of the war and there was the Spanish succession war, which would make an even larger coalition against France.
Besides Louis XIV was pious Catholic and the old protestant-France alliance was already broken.
Not France itself, however the other protestant states may help Sweden further
The link to Videnti's video doesn't work
For who would rule Bohemia, personally I think the choice is obvious in your scenario.
The Swedish, in a sense.
If Gustavus Adolphus had remained alive for the duration of and after the war, keeping Sweden in the war for the entire duration and even leading the march on Vienna, he would want a serious concession towards Swedish power within the HRE.
The protestant lords within the HRE wouldn't want to give such a concession as the throne of Bohemia to him personally though after his earlier annexations of land.
But he had an illegitimate son, Gustav Gustavsson, who served in the Swedish military, and was even the governor of occupied lands during the war.
After the war he was recognized as part of the House of Vasa, and as Gustavus Adolphus' son (though his illegitimate birth meant his line could never claim the throne), and he was even given rule of some lands Sweden had taken during the 30 years war, as Count of Nystad.
Gustavus Adholphus, as a means to secure influence within the HRE, would have gladly put his illegitimate son on the throne of Bohemia.
And I think, that with the provision that Bohemia could not be inherited by the Swedish crown if Gustav Gustavsson were to die without a male heir, the protestant lords within the HRE would also gladly accept this, as it would tie Sweden and the HRE closer to each other, and solidly prevent Hapsburg attempts to reclaim Bohemia.
@Possible History, do you think a new Islamic Caliphate would appear in the future? Also, please make a Map of the 22nd Century (plus the Borders of the 22nd century) based on your own predictions of the future.
With the current instability in the region, probably unlikely. Personally, I think Russia will fall again, likely split up. A Western Russian state with western influence and perhaps an eastern state influenced by the Chinese, alongside the Siberian oblasts leaving, possibly with Chinese influences. A Chinese- American Cold War is likely.

Quite a few flaws, firstly the treaty of westphalia would most likely be the same but with much more larger consessions to the protestant league, this means prussia never gets a part of pomerania and it is given entirely to sweden, france would take artois besancon the bishopric of metz but would not take franche comte just yet, this would also mean louis xiv's path pretty much just gets a little bit better as a coordinated alliance would continue between mazarin and adolfus, and in this timeline all of louis xiv's 4 wars would happen the first two being largely sucessful gaining franche comte and flanders and the last two being moderately sucessful which would mean that spain falls on french hands and all of its possetions, as austria is too weak to lay claim to spain entirely, lorraine would also be ruled by frnech influence butnot directly annexed, but russia would still poke little bites into the ottomans making the decline of the empire be a bit faster than what you said in the video, and if the hre was looking for another emperor its first choice is most probably poland despite its dramatic decline, second choice would be the dutch or even the swedish crown, but the english wouldnot be considered as hanover is not yet taken, and therefore had basically no way of even defending the hre
Lol, bold of you to say he has quite a few flaws when you give a completely arbitrary scenario, with flaws as well.
1. France had annexed Metz in 1552.
2. Taking Besançon but not Franche Comté is outlandish.
3. Excluding the Franco-Spanish War, Louis XIV had 5 wars, not 4.
4. Your supposition exactly all the same wars of his would take place shows your little intelligence.
5. The faster decline of Ottomania despite the better circumstances makes no sense.
6. It's a condition to have lands in the empire to be elected, your best two options are discarded. Anyway I don't see any future Polish-Lithuanian king being elected. Władysław IV desired Silesia and had also a weakish foreign policy, while Jan II had disasters on his head. The Stattholder is the leader of a republic.
Better shut up than show your ignorance.

electors "Hey England, you want the tittle of Emperor?"
England "Wait what why?"
Electors "France"
England "i am the hair to Charlamagne, Augustus and Constantine, hence fourth England is the Empire"
The idea that the HRE would elect a king of Britain as the emperor is just ridiculous on the face of it. The British monarchs have no connection at this point to the HRE. The Swedish Kings at this time, with their control over territories like Bremen, Werden, and Pomerania might have a chance at being elected Emperor, but the best possibility for an outside monarch to get this position would be the Danish Oldenburg line. However, the chance of the Danish Kings at getting this position is far out classed by the electors of Bavaria of the Wittelsbach line. They are the true contenders to the disgraced Habsburgs for both the tile of Emperor *and* the crown of Bohemia. Their rivalry with the Habsburgs was, ironically, part of the cause of the Thirty Years War and they would most certainly benefit the most from a Protestant victory.
Here from Aladeen film clips
What if Italy didn't join the Axis in WW2? Would Germany have still gone into the Balkans and Middle East without Italian misadventures in those theatres?

In the opening. Is each figure is suppose to represent a million people? You got the PLC wrong. It was cited in the Swedish Deluge, the PLC lost ~50% of it’s population from 12 million people. You have it around 3 million.
Ottoman Empire: Conquer Vienna, Sicily, Naples and possibly the German states of the Holy Roman Empire would have to pay tribute to the Turks
Ottomans touching Naples would break alliance with France however, their alliance is already on shaky grounds since the Habsburgs are weakened but even after the Italian wars France may no longer have such direct interest in Italy because they were kicked out, but they would undoubtedly in an attempt to bolster their hegemonic status protect Italy from muslims. And the Ottomans cannot win such a fight because its France in modern era with 300k men.
Same for HRE states paying tribute, besides Austria France would refuse anyone else hitting their possible influence zone and the Ottomans cant stop France especially not if France is on the defensive side and therefore the other possible coalised nations will not be as willing to make the final step of attempting to fight that lol
Yay
What if everything went perfect for tanna tuva
What about the Danish?
Couldn't that have had an impact on the second ottoman siege of vienna? Even in our timeline it nearly succeeded...
"What if the protestants won?"
"What if Gustavus Adolphus lived"
It's the same question.

Well I have been asking for something very like this for awhile but still:
What if the Von Habsburgs were Protestant?
what if the papal states kept enough land to actually be a relevant country in both world wars? (perhaps we would see the rise of religeous fanaticism as a counter movement to anti-church communism?
