The BFG is a magic card, and it has a 99 toughness so Giants should have gone first
My favorite part is Jimmys shadow being projected on his board state
Haven’t finished it yet, but I’m sure it was because of his looming threat

Even though he's dressed as Ulamog
This was our number 1 priority of the con, and it completely delivered. Love seeing my son and I in the crowd several times. We had so much fun in team El-dra-zi.
Props to Filipa and Ash! Even though English is not their first language they did so well I'm glad Game Nights got some European talent for this European event!
Ashlizlle did so great and it's so cool to see a Knighting live.
Many people in the Netherlands are fluent in both English and Dutch :)

We all need a hype person announcer like this when we go into work to set the right tone. The writers are always putting out banger introductions at every Game Knights Live.
The player's intro was the best one so far! What extrem showmanship from everyone! The presentation speech was top level! Congrats to the team!

The highest toughness question should have gone to team giant, since Big Furry Monster is a 99/99 and you didn’t ask for commander legal creatures.

Although I'd also say that saying "creature" and not "creature card" makes it a bad question and that "infinite" or at least "arbitrarily large" should still be the correct answer.

once the algo put ashlizzlle into my youtube magic feed, i respected her builds and deck navigation right away. her rakdos and simic cookie builds looked like a force to be reckoned with. congrats on alll the wins
Never in my wildest dreams did I think I was able to be part of GKL. What a amazing experience and what a show. Seeing it from the viewers perspective shows how well it turned out. The giant banner, the dino masks and handing the flag to Jimmy. No words... Thank you! Hopefully see you guys soon

And Jimmy said he had a way to give haste, Rachel just ignored it and rushed through her turn. Imo it seems they had to rush to end it, they did mention something about the time. Unfortunate, but still a great game
Yup and she ignored Jimmy who said he can give his commander haste and get the kill with Commander damage. My guess is they wanted to give the guest the win cause the GK crew have more chances this year to win at more Magic cons so they threw her a bone.
@@lucasbatalha3081 To be fair, Jimmy would have been dead had Josh not talked Ash into switching Ghalta from attacking Jimmy to attacking Rachel because he forgot about the assembly worker Jimmy could make to block. So, the end result would have been Ash winning anyway.
Yeah, but they talked her out of killing Jimmy properly with Ghalta, so it evened out
@@lucasbatalha3081I asked Jimmy and Josh about the timing the next day at the meet and greet. The gaming running long put them on insane time pressure because they absolutely legal reasons had to be done by 7pm, and the game wrapped about 6.45. At one point we saw Josh give a none too subtle "we need to hurry" signal to the others and the play definitely loosened up.

It's fun watching them walk up to the stage. You can tell who is comfortable with all of it and then there's Jimmy who lives for it lol
The opening vignette with the past game knights moments is incredible, it's such a good way to get super hyped before the entrances
I think my favourite part was when Jimmy was using those worms to bug Murph when holding the belt
Their promo for Card Kingdom at 58:00 is actually fantastic
Did they throw it by not holding up Kessig Wolf Run to give Jimmy's commander +2 power to kill Ash with commander damage at the end? Rachel could have made a 4/4 Magma Pummeler instead to keep Wolf Run untapped and then she likely would have won
They were rushing because they were running out of time. If they slowed down and thought things through, then things would have been different. Most notably, on Ash’s penultimate turn, she went to attack Jimmy with a trampling 12/12. Josh, not wanting wasted damage if it meant the game could end timely, convinced her otherwise. Her gut instinct was correct though since it would have trampled over the assembly-worker and knocked Jimmy out. (Maybe Rachel recognized that Ash was pressured into a misplay at the end and didn’t want to capitalize on it? Stealing the win from the guest would just be bad all around. Not sure if she caught it in the rush at the end or not.)
You can really see that Gavin has done this before. Listening to him commentig these is always a treat

If i'm not mistaken the highest toughness that fits the question they asked(What is this highest toughness among ALL creatures in magic) , since it didn't state legal to commander or legal at all, it was only asked the highest toughness of any creature printed, it would be the Un card with 99 toughness being the BFM(Big Furry Monster), now if we are going by legal play then its Marit Lage at 20 because they didn't specify it had to be non token. If this is as correct as I assume, that means Giants would have ended round 5 with 4 points thus winning the ability to go first.

Game knights live has got to be the most epic thing to I have ever seen.
This is the second video I've seen Filipa co-host. She is fantastic, especially with English as a second language. I love that they used a non-native English speaker for MagicCon.

Always a really big fan of these live episodes. The stakes are lower as you guys do the giant rolling dice for things and also let audience members join in for decisions, but that's a great part of it.I like low stakes, casual Commander that's just all about the fun.

I love the creativity that went into the costumes. I’ve played Sea Creatures, Dinos, and Eldrazi and love them all, but after seeing Rachel play Giants I’m itching to brew with them.
"Giants love MATH!" was very funny and I feel like it didn't get the laughs it deserved.

In the largest toughness question, Gavin states the largest power of a commander legal creature and then asks a question about "all" creatures in MTG. He's just opened the question to nonlegal creatures which would include the un-sets. This makes 99 toughness for B.F.M. (Big Furry Monster) of the Unglued set the correct answer for the question asked. They always seems to forget the unsets when they ask questions about all of mtg.
This was definitely a great video and an awesome game of Commander on Game Knights Live. Also, congrats Ashlizzell for the win. Dinosaurs are some of my all time favourite creatures ever and I’m happy you got the win with them and proved why they were the greatest ever. Dino’s for the win 🦖 🦕

sadly because of some things i was not able to be there and when i was there where only tickets for sunday i still stay a Jimmy supporter and Rachel when she game to the group i have the same bad trouble with lands as Jimmy most of the time

It was great to watch - I would definitely like to see such a game live.
It's a bit of a pity that they ran out of time - because at the end of the game it was obvious that they forced the end faster (Rachel could have left the mana and together with Jim they could have killed - but that would probably have significantly extended the game).
