I think there was a rules mistake at 41:30 after the Chain Reaction board-wipe, Sefris would not have triggered. Since her ability is an enters the graveyard trigger rather than a dies trigger. So she would have to already be in the graveyard to see the cards enter the graveyard, meaning her ability doesn't trigger. If her ability was "whenever a creature dies", then yes it would have triggered
A creature dying and a creature going to the graveyard from the battlefield is the same thing. For a creature to die it HAS to go to the graveyard (for example if a creature has a dying trigger, but there's a rest in peace on the battlefield, it doesn't trigger since it didn't die, it went to exile).
@@pauloalarcon2638 That is correct. However the Sefris trigger is not a enters the graveyard from the battelfield trigger. If it was it would trigger. It is an enters the graveyard from anywhere trigger. As per rule 603.6c: "An ability that triggers when a card is put into a certain zone “from anywhere” is never treated as a leaves-the-battlefield ability, even if an object is put into that zone from the battlefield." Which means that Sefris does not trigger. You can also look at rule 603.10 to see all triggers that do look back in time. Unfortunately Sefris' trigger is not one of them.
@@lucazader The keyword "dies" means "enters the graveyard from the battlefield". This means "dies" is always an enters-the-graveyard effect anyway, never a leaves-the-battlefield effect. "Dies" triggers do fire if the creature with the trigger dies at the same time as the one it's watching -- they do "see each other" -- and so this does as well. It doesn't have to look "back in time", every dying card sees all the other cards hit the graveyard at the same time.
@@IceMetalPunk Yea. I agree it would trigger if it were to be a dies trigger. However if you look at the working on Sefris, you will not see "dies" anywhere on the card. As such it is not a dies trigger. Sefris reads: "Whenever one or more creature cards are put into your graveyard from anywhere". So therefore she will be in the graveyard before she sees any cards entering the graveyard, so therefore is already dead and will not trigger. It is a subtle difference between the trigger being a dies trigger and a put into your graveyard from anywhere trigger.
@@lucazader But "dies" is literally shorthand for "is put into a graveyard from the battlefield". The difference between "is put into a graveyard from the battlefield" and "is put into your graveyard from anywhere" is only in the locations, the order in which things happen and see each other happen doesn't change between them.
As a new MTG player this is so great! Learning how the game works and ugh the cast is so fun! Love the animations and really appreciate that I can pause and read the cards and that the players explain their techniques. Great series :)))

What an amazing game and loved the new additions of Becca and Joe! Absolutely loved seeing these decks just go off. All hail Joe the Dragonlord!
Joe Manganiello was such a treat! Such a great entertainer, Game Knights is always entertaining but he really made this episode stand out
When Becca called Joe the Monarch and no one corrected her, I softly mumbled to myself "Nooo, he's the Dragon High Lord"
Everyone: Why did you make a deal with Jimmy?
Joe: cause I get an extra dragon out of it.
that felt more like an older episode of CZ and I loved it. Seeing joe and becca as well felt great. this was a home run.
Jimmy: "Hey Joe, that counter spell was just an accident."
Joe: "My fist break in your teeth, that's the accident."
At around 33:10 or so, joe attacked with a 5/4 dragon spirit, Josh should’ve used his commander, a 4/4 first striker with vigilance.
That Etali animation blew me away. Amazing content as always
Joe: "D12 is the least used"
**BARBARIAN RAGE WITH A GREATAXE!!!**
Watching Becca remove Sun Titan when Joe was clearly about to win, to try to do 1 more damage, was painful lol! Not going to say that I've never made dumb choices like that, but it was a pretty game-losing move. If I was Jimmy I'd be extremely salty lol. Glad Jimmy is far nicer than I am.
33:38 couldn’t you have blocked freely with your commander? It’s got first strike 😁
I was thinking the same thing. I took a screenshot and everything, thought I was going crazy...5 damage!😉
Might've been afraid of combat tricks. That green-red does have some.
@@kobisjeruk yeah and also blunders
That's Right!
No me había fijado anteriormente. He also said, he don't wanted to traded it, so, he must forget about First Strike.
The edits, the production and how they set up the graphics of this game is outstanding. 1st time seeing this channel. I enjoyed it alot
The content, guests, quality of filming and all animations all cool. Really enjoy watching the channel!🎲🛡
Josh commander's animation was soooooo cool! And Joe was one of my favorite guest so far! Great game, great job guys!
As per rule 603.6c: "An ability that triggers when a card is put into a certain
zone “from anywhere” is never treated as a leaves-the-battlefield ability, even if an object is put
into that zone from the battlefield."
Which means that Sefris does not trigger.
I loved seeing all of your perspectives on these decks. Also, the guests were great on the show. Very interactive and fun.
These animations for cards have been getting better and better every episode! I was especially blown away with Etali!
As a new MTG player this is so great! Learning how the game works and ugh the cast is so fun! Love the animations and really appreciate that I can pause and read the cards and that the players explain their techniques. Great series :)))
