Enjoy the first flowers of the new year! Snowdrops! You can now buy the exact same brushes that I use in my videos on my website dewintonpaperco.com/shop/
This reminds me of my grandmother showing me these lovelies when I was just six, something I will never forget and always thankful because it made me a lover of nature. Thank you for this beautiful lesson.
Thanks Sheri, please note that the Royal Mail has been victim of a cyber attack and all our international services have been suspended. I’m hoping it will be sorted quickly but it is a very anxious time. Thanks for your patience!
I love this style! I’m about to watch the carnation video too. I’d been thinking about doing line and wash more but I’m really excited about this 50’s style. Thank you for the inspiration!
So beautifully came out. Your hand's movements were very smooth while you were drawing snow drops, like a butter , I just loved it and bought the wriggle brush from your shop. Can't wait to have it Thanks so much for another amazing tutorial ❤️
Well the snowdrops worked a bit better than the carnations. All over the place with those….but need to practice more!! So thanks again for cheering up a wet morning.
Hi Harriet, firstly, thank you for your watercolour tutorials! I came across you on Instagram over Christmas and decided to go and buy some paints, etc to give it a go. As a complete novice, I’ve managed to quickly learn so much about my new relaxation hobby! You are so clear and easy to listen to (unlike many other tutorials I’ve seen). I bought some masking fluid and just wondered if you have any tips for stopping the paper leaving small tears when rubbing it off. I’ve tried to go gently with it. Should you paint a thin layer? Maybe I’m applying it too thickly? I’m using 300gsm cold pressed paper. Any tips welcome, even if it’s practice makes perfect! Thanks again for your fab tutorials!
Well I allocate a specific brush to just use masking fluid because it does get affected over time. The best thing is to give it a good clean immediately after using before it dries.

You know the pleasure of peeling PVA glue off your fingers as a kid? That's what peeling the masking fluid off is like 😂 Love this style of painting
So true!

Thank you so much Tania!
Delightful! How did you rub out the pencil??
Watch this! I did a whole video all about rubbing out pencil ua-cam.com/video/ZEU07SmeMO8/v-deo.html
How do you get the masking fluid out of the brush?
Well I allocate a specific brush to just use masking fluid because it does get affected over time. The best thing is to give it a good clean immediately after using before it dries.
Very pretty!! 💖💖💖
Thank you! Cheers!
