Busted pancake..simple fix for any driver who has his stuff together. But if you want to stay in clean clothes and never get dirty, expect to be put out of service regularly. 😒
Not possible for a solo driver to inspect under the trailer by himself. The DOT officer himself needed the drivers help🤦🏻♂️
IN THIS CASE ONE, STILL HAS THE 5TH AMENDMENDANT AND NOT TO INCRIMINATE HIMSELF. BY ANSWERING THE QUESTIONS THIS OFFICER IS TRYING TO CONVICT HIM ON. EVEN IN A COMMERCIAL VEHICLE .
I can see why he would need to carry a sidearm during this dangerous inspection. You never know when a chafing air line is just going to go total Karen on you.
He is a Florida State Trooper first and foremost. The fact that he is assigned to a weigh station is secondary.
Dude your Funny The Karen Air-Leaks LOL!
@@foltzenlogel these people just comment anything dumb
Why aren’t you wearing safety glasses?
so is this guy a cop or a mechanic, we need cops on the street catching immagrets a drug pusher!!
He's a Florida State Trooper assigned to the Florida Commercial Vehicle Division which is a State Agency.
He's a dot cop dumbass! He's not a drug enforcement officer unless of course the truck he's inspecting is carrying drugs
His job sounds stressful
Lmao how?
Driver press your brake, turn your key.
I need a vacation.
When dealing with some drivers, yes. They can be a real headache. Especially the ones that like to argue.
Yeah it’s not like he actually fixes it, cough cough mechanics
Their payed before they should go to trucking company and check in their lot. Thirds
So which company has good maintenance?
None you ride it till it breaks then they fix it
None!
This is the reason we need to use all air disc brakes they can’t measure them
They can definitely be measured
DOT dirty Revenue business i never surprise ?
why do dot officers have guns? thats like a building inspector being armed...
because they are a state law enforcement officer they have more jurisdiction than local or county law enforcement officers.
Do you really need a gun to do a Truck inspection?..
You're an idiot! They never know when they're going to need the gun! Dumbass!
@@orlandoreese19 I don't even know what the hell you're even talking about
Those inspectors are actually state police. So yeah, they're packin heat
So you took this drivers time away from him so you could do a video? Do you (dot) understand how a drivers time is extremely valuable? Did the driver benefit from this loss of time as dot is benefiting from making this video?
I think he benefited the driver by put him out of service
I hear yold wpmen jave busted diapram
Where would someone pickup the tool that was used to check brakes
You really don't need that tool. It's best to familiarize yourself with the different types of brake chambers and purchase a set of brake stroke indicators which are a very inexpensive. They are plastic pieces that attach to the pushrods and will help you with any brake adjustment issues.
@@chrislareau8110
Where do I find those
@@chrislareau8110
I struggle with knowing if break shoes need replaced and getting my employer to change them. Thank you for the information
@@cholland3440 You should be able to find this item anywhere they sell truck parts. Truck dealer parts dept. is a good place. You should be able to find a kit that will have enough pieces to do truck and trailer for about $25.
@@cholland3440 A little thing I did to measure my brake linings is to take a big paper clip and measure out 1/4" of it and make a bend at the quarter inch mark. Then when I inspect my brake linings I use this little home made tool to check whether or not the brake linings are within spec or not. I'm more than happy to help with any issues you have I've got 22 years OTR with lots of different equipment.
4th amendment fellas
Lol our rights have been long gone.
4th amendment deals with unlawful search and seizures. How does that apply to inspecting a truck
This would be a search="inspection
Seizure=when he took it out of service"
Wouldn't put up with that crap.nobody in their right mind would either, Let the dot try to haul everything on their cars sence they know all about trucks but hold no cdl.park um,fuel costs too high to make anything...
That's y I skip....
I'm watching this in Canada and I think it's hilarious that a DOT inspector needs to wear a gun. Is it really that dangerous? Mind you, I do understand that a lot of americans are armed, but... really???
He's a MotorVehicleComplianceOfficer. They are armed. They drive marked Florida Highway 🚓 cars. They are not only @ weigh stations, they also cruise the interstate and rual highways two lane highways.
All bs
Stop wasting drivers time by talking to your camera bud. Driver has to be somewhere
Yeah driving government trucks baby
Dot sucks
