The way you explain concepts is fantastic. You could probably kick the ass of 90% of the theory material out there

This might be the single best metal songwriting and composing video I’ve ever seen. This is beyond awesome.
It totally makes sense and I can totally see exactly how it connects. I do understand modes and all that. But never figured out how to truly use them. Seriously, this is beyond amazing.

Wow, thank you! This concept always seemed so obvious to me but I haven’t seen anyone else talk about it. I hope it brings you many songs

bro these tutorials are really helping with my song writing, the las video of intervals made an idea that was in my head for a long time come to life, but can i ask a kinda specific question? when i write i generally have problems with rythm and making or using or finding rythm themes or do something that feels groovy or just that rythmically makes sence, specially because i am in the proces of writing a tool'ish track so the rythm themes are really important and i wanna make a main riff that fits the song and the other stuff that i alredy have so yeah.

Check out the songs Atropos, Zagreus, or Dracul Gras by Periphery. All three of these songs are essentially derived from one core rhythm that has been manipulated.

That’s awesome! And that’s exactly why I decided to start making these videos. On the rhythm thing, try these steps:
      1. If you can’t already, learn to read and write standard notation. At the very least, the rhythmic element.
      2. Practice translating the rhythms of songs you like into standard notation through transcription.
      3. Over time, doing step two a LOT will allow you to understand the rhythms you hear in your head more clearly which will give you the confidence to use those rhythms because they will no longer feel “wrong” or “unclear.”
Bonus step 4. Spend some time transcribing your rhythmic ideas into some kind of notation software with a playback feature. The playback will tell whether or not you accurately notated the rhythms in your head. Like step 2, as you get more accurate doing this, you gain more confidence and clarity in your rhythmic ideas.
Step 2 is also crucial to develop rhythmic vocabulary, which is necessary to create original ideas
If you ever feel like getting some more hands-on help with these steps, I do teach private lessons!
