This composition is inspired by music I am listening to. It is a mix out of rather heavy music styles / influences and modern percussive fingerstyle.

@@Tobias.Rauscher If you wrap an elastic band around your first fret, you won't get that high pitch feed back from tapping. It's a Joe Satriani technique. Awesome work.
@@rcchristian2 I always noticed victor Wooten keeping a scrunchie on the first fret of his bass... now I know why. Thanks
@@nigelwarner8398 Yeah there is one issue with it. If you want to ring your open string, it muffles it a bit, but if you tilt the elastic lower down the fret, it's hardly noticeable. So the elastic can go diagonal depending on the pressure you want on that string. Lower on the strings you want to ring open and higher on the strings you want to muffle right next to the fret bridge. With a little tweaking you can get your open strings to ring and your higher strings with almost no feedback.

I love exploration like this. I never think that figuring out new ways to get sounds out of an instrument is "gimmicky" or anything like that. All musicians should experiment as much as possible. Really paying off here.

I'm obsessed. My new favorite style. Taking a break from metal. So I'm diving head first in the other direction being I bought an acoustic guitar and finding heavy inspiration in a softer ambient percussive sound versus my 7string Ibanez and Ltd ex50 heavily distorted through peavy amp and countless others for the last 20 years. Changing around lots in my life as well. I'll always be a meathead but here comes a different me. Thank you for your talents Tobias it's helping me improve myself along the way in my journey of life :) my family will be stronger and my kids will grow old and thank me eventually :) cherishing their young innocents while it lasts! :) take care and keep safe!
