something interesting about isolation of "illegitimate children" in the past here in Canada, people who were born to unwed mothers were not given Canadian citizenship. some of these people are still alive, they voted, they paid taxes all their lives, etc. but did not know until they tried to get a passport and couldn't get one because they weren't citizens. So, these people ended up stateless, which is the ultimate exclusion.
I'm not able to list the entire reading material here. It's about three pages long, and it includes URLs that UA-cam will probably block. If you google search "intro to sociology nyu material harvey molotch" then you will find a 101 kb, 4-page pdf file of his 2016 Intro to Sociology syllabus. It includes about 3 pages of reading material. Good luck.
I know it's bot supposed to be a main takeaway of this lecture, but I sort of wished that someone would test the Asche experiment, Milgram experiment, Stanford prison experiment, or some variant of these on me. I wish I knew how much of a conformant I am. I figure that I conform to a lot of norms, but I hope that I can nonconform when it is right to do so. Shouldn't we all?
@@usenlim4379 Simple answer: not yet, but I'm considering it. I can give you a longer answer or more info if you like. Right now, I eat very little or no red meat or processed foods. I have a high protein diet that relies a lot on chicken meat, eggs, dairy, and whey protein to make up over 80% of my daily protein needs. I consider how to change maybe the chicken meat into tofu, seitan, vegan protein isolates (like pea powder), and other high protein, vegan options. I talked with GPT-4 about this several times, and it seems perfectly doable to transition over to a majority vegan diet or totally vegan diet. I would do this out of concern for the global ecology (global warming and preserving the natural environment) and animal rights.
I'm obsessed with these videos ❤
Who's here in 2020, during the Corona pandemic?
Wow..isolation causes you to perhaps die, and or loose your mind! No wonder the Gov has been advertising about mental “health”!

Some time later. It's more similar to something like smoking.
Let it play for a while and you will get the sound but no video.
