I believe this is Chris's favorite type of residential work.... and if I were a wealthy man.... I'd buy a place in his area just to have HIM do the work! 😊 Great job!
Chris your work is exceptional. You work that excavator like a fine violin! Even for those of us who will never do that work it's a pleasure to watch. Thanks for sharing.
Good morning Chris I find your videos are enjoyable to watch It's amazing how you take your time digging the hole for the pipe to sit in and then you refilling the hole back up again and redressing the ground with seed and straw after you have finished it looks amazing
Nice easy little Project this was 💪.nice job you did there.the straw makes a good ground covering To make the grass grow back.the New overflow looks a Lot Better than the old One. Great Video 😀
Nice job. As the home owner, I would've also added a siphon hydrant (purple in color) for the fire department as an auxiliary water source. Great stuff either way!
here that not needed the volunteer fire department just pulls in sticks there 10 suction pipe in the pond and suck it out, they do have a 3 phase 550 volt pump house in the river a mile away from the station, that way they can get water on the way back in the winter when theres 4 feet plus of ice over the river. a 10" pipe is plumbed right into the bottom of the river, when they need water from our ponds or any of the many lakes and rivers all around. they drill a hole and drop a 8" steel L pipe in to hook on to
Just a another great example why Chris gets these pond jobs. Comes with everything he needs. Makes sure to get the right grade without guessing. That sheep foot works great, but now I know Chris can work a manual shovel, on those rare occasions.
Thought the customer looked familiar when you pointed out it was that mini you rescued from the mud a few weeks back, lol. Can always tell it's one of your jobs when you're done. Looks clean and tidy. Another job well done.
From New Zealand.. your projects seem to show NC is just one big pond with some houses and roads on top struggling to stay dry! Thanks for keeping the Atlantic ocean topped up ...
Could you do a few aerial after shot compilations of finish projects say 6 months later, when the grass etc has grown back and the ponds are filled? It would be a really good way to visualize what you are doing and why, and the end effect of all this hard work.
Even working alone you do an awesome job. That clay reminds me of the clay here in Oregon sticky when wet but dries harder then a rock. Would be cool if you could have hats made with your new logo on it.
You make it look so easy that someone like me might think they could go and rent the machine for a day and do it themselves only to get into it and realize they will need a few more days or weeks to learn the controls enough to get it done. True master craftsman skills sir!
Yea Kirk, I’m from Pearl River, La.myself. And you’re right about the dirt it’s sticky as hell but when it dries out it packs hard as concrete but I work for a company that’s called Leon Lowe and sons. They’re based out of Pearl River Louisiana
You have a great skill to handle all the detailed steps during the work and the results looking amazing. It’s really great to watch your videos! I was wondering if you could attach a rope from one corner of the cement overflow to the thumb and then spin the block a little by raising the thumb? When you were digging the ditch and piling up the dirt, I wondered if you ever finished up for the day only to find that parked your truck on the wrong side of the ditch? Thanks for the great videos!
Nice work. Enjoy watching you handle your equipment so efficiently. As for his drain line that you capped, he should install a valve in the line eventually that way he can drain it anytime he needs without the bath.
When I was an electrician I did quite a few runway lighting projects. We had to encase our conduit in sand before back-filling and compact to soil to the FAAs satisfaction.
Was about to go to bed when I saw a new video!! I love your videos so much that I'm going to watch it. Of course it's not only to see the great work but the person behind it really keeps me interested. Love you man!! :)
One of the cleanest(least muddy) jobs I’ve seen. Couldn’t ask for better working conditions. As high as that bank is, it would make for a great backstop for shooting from the house or dock.
You take it easy out there old man would hate to see u fall down and hurt yourself then you wont be able to do pond jobs that we all love so much very nice job Chris for a one man crew 😎👍👍🇺🇸
Bam !! Bam !! There it is done an done....Nice little quick job ! Looks Great as always Chris, Getting to like that little compactor / Roller you got , looks like it works pretty dang good ! Another one in the books !! lolol... On too the Next...

Do you know what I think it is. All the ground in your environment is very Clay based. Your climate is either, glorious sunshine or pissing down. I love it. I would love to be a machine driver over there.
In case anyone is wondering, the new 18 inch pipe will drain approximately 10,000 gallons a minute. The new 18 inch drainage pipe is roughly equivalent to ****sixteen separate 6 inch pipes****

Customers in your North Carolina area are very lucky to have a Highly Conscientious Contractor.👍
It's a privilege to watch an operator with just the right amount of OCD.
Thanks for the explanation of why your putting the concrete in the overflow box. Didn’t think of the floating aspect. Another great job!
This video is why, “ YOU ARE THE MAN “ Chris! Job looks great brother! You’re one amazing professional!
I love your eye for detail , even on the back side of the dam where nobody would see , you make it slick and nice
Your jobs always look like nothing has been touched when you’re finished! PERFECT! 👍🏻👍🏻
I believe this is Chris's favorite type of residential work.... and if I were a wealthy man.... I'd buy a place in his area just to have HIM do the work! 😊
Great job!
Hell.. I'd fly him to my place, pay for everything and have him do everything before foundation gets in. Love this man's work! . and commentary!
I don't know what it is, but I just can't stop watching your channel!
I feel the same way! It seems that I am watching his videos on my lunch hour every day now.
Chris your work is exceptional. You work that excavator like a fine violin! Even for those of us who will never do that work it's a pleasure to watch. Thanks for sharing.
Most contractors would bring a 3 or 4 man crew for this project. But you did a great job working by yourself.
yup, pretty much
Why pay four men when you can pay Chris for the same amount of work, and its done correctly?
if it was a city job there be 7 trucks and 14 people
If it was a city job there be 1 guy working and 13 guys watching

@@martinspijker9661 Hi Martin 👋 Fancy seeing you here. Been a while since you did a video.
That's the nicest maintained pond I've seen you roll up on in quite some time.
I was thinking the same. This pond is the total opposite to the overgrown waterholes where Chris normally starts working on.
@Marks_Jeep it looks like he actually uses his pond as more than just a decoration too.
Never thought I'd enjoy watching another man lay so much pipe.
😂
😜😍
How can anyone thumbs down a man that works 7 days a week
They're obviously jealous.
His family?
We need follow up videos in a few months to see your work complete with new grass and overflow working 👌

I another beautiful job done, Overflow should work great. to drain the pond down you left them a good system to do it with. ☕️☕️👍
Chris, good hustle jumping out and back in the excavator to straighten out the overflow box.
Usain Bolt of the excavating world.
Would have been easier to simply put the box down and reverse the chain hooks, then the box would naturally spin the hole to face the machine...
Andrew Camarata would be proud ;o)
The fastest Chris has moved all year I reckon.
This is a career I could enjoy.
And another pond rescued !!!! Great job 👍
Good job on handling the spin of the overflow box! I have never enjoyed working alone.
I'm liking that sheepsfoot, more and more,Nice work slim!
Nice weather, nice job.....wonderful pay!!
Great job Chris!! 😀
I hope you get invited back to do some fishing 🎣, it’s a beautiful pond. 👍👍✌️✌️
From a man in the Uk watching your channel. You know your craft, and apply it with great pride.
Mr. Smooth operator satisfy's another customer. Looks very efficient and clean.
