Yes! We are excited to renovate the home and land but keep its natural historical factors. It’s important to us to keep as much of it as possible. Feel free to follow our channel to see all our renovations! Thanks
This place reminds me a whole lot of the Bealy Good farm. Unless I’m mistaken this is his place back before you did all the work clearing, building the 2 ponds and building the driveways to the lots in the back. He did an excellent job restoring that old farm house and shed.
My eldest son gifted you to me. You bring such a calm smile .I am a woman that loves farming , the machines étal... since I lost my farm because I got hurt at work he’s watched and helped me ( as have the other 4) fight my way back. I binge watch your shows sometimes just listening in the background is enough at the end of the day to remind me what I’m fighting my way back to. By the way , we crossed paths at the gas station the other day during the thunder storm... many blessings, stay safe , healthy... keep on keeping on !!! Country folk can survive 💫🇺🇸
The only thing about working in those conditions is you sure know what way the water runs when it swampy wet. Looks like these home owners definitely know where the landscaping needs work. Great 👍 content 🇺🇸🦅🌏⚓️🇺🇸
I've been watching for years, first time I've commented. I find it relaxing and just plain interesting to watch you work in the dirt. Your a professional in everything you do, keep it up!
Gotta give you props. I watch you take a few swipes with your bucket and think dam that looks a lot better you’re done.. . Then you continue to take a few more and make it look even better than I could have pictured it in my head. You are a skilled craftsman my friend! Excellent quality.
Good Morning @ Lets Dig, I had some doubts as to how this project would turn out, ( because of all of the moisture, i.e. rain) If I was your customer, I would have been extremely and pleasantly surprised at how nice this job turned out. Your quality of work is absolutely awesome. Your skills on the excavator and skid steer are top level ! Then to top it off your narration and filming is excellent. I very much appreciate that you don't overlay your vids with music. I guess I'm old school but I'd rather hear the machine's sounds, even from inside the cab than music. Don't misunderstand me as I love to rock out when inside of the cab rather I don't like it in a video. I'm a 59 year young, retired farmer/ landscape co., owner. ( And yes, that's my last name too). I'm very impressed with your overall work ethic and knowledge. I subscribed. Keep up the great work that you do. Wishing you all of the very best. Warmest Regards from Arizona
We have a lot of things to contemplate with the property. It needs a lot of TLC and we are excited to work with Chris. Feel free to follow us to see how we make this property go from rags to riches!
Gotta say, there is something soothing about the sound of fresh footsteps on freshly graded stone, before the weather has a chance to wash away all the small stuff and leave only the larger rocks on the top.
I think this was the first time I saw you working at the Bealy Good farm. It was one of the first videos I saw of yours. I've seen most of the stuff you've done since and really appreciate your work.
The landscape around the property reminds me so much of growing up around the Pine Barrens in NJ. The nice aura it gives off, the isolated houses and all the trees. It makes me feel so nostalgic.
Extremely satisfied! We love not having a muddy mess to deal with while we renovate the home and land. We are excited to work with Chris in the coming months on multiple projects.
As if I hadn't done enough dirt shuffling in my life: Here I am watching somebody else move dirt. I must be insane! I like the looks of the way you progress.
Even a bigger difference when the trucks aren’t sinking into the mud and we aren’t sliding all over the property! 🤣 Chris did a great job! Feel free to follow our page to keep up to date with all our renovations. We are excited to work with Chris this year!
I know it's a "late comment" but just want to thank you for this particular video. I watch all your videos but this one made me think of my Grandfather for some reason and gave me solace. My "Paw-Paw" was in "Earth Moving" for all his Life ... even worked on the Panama Canal ... with "Steam Powered Draglines" no less. As a kid, I remember how excited he was to run a "Yumbo" (International Harvester's articulated excavator ... the very first BTW) and sitting on his lap as he play that machine like a piano ... much respect for him and you for that "Touch" you share). He lived a long life ... long enough to see the future of what machines were coming ... had one of the first Kubota 4x4 mini tractors ... within minutes he had it playing like a glove ... and extension of his hands ... truly amazing) back in the late '70's. I watch your vids and think "What would he think about today's machines? Articulated Excavator Buckets and "Thumb" claws???. The only thing I know is that it still takes all those "GIANT HAND TOOLS" to service them ... and he had a Garage full that I was not smart enough to keep. Again, thanks for the memories you evoke in your work ... the speed and accuracy with which you work is absolutely amazing !!! A pity our "Highway Departments" don't have the same speed and purpose eh? LOL
we just put our backfill material on the pipe to hold it while we home it for short drain lines(smooth pvc usually needs backstop, but that ribbed ADS aint gonna move with some backfill on it), but we usually have to deal with longer runs. Storm, water, or etc. when you have longer runs 60' or more the pipe flexes and buckles in the trench and can make it hard to home any type of pipe unless it is held straight along with a backstop.
I was thinking we would have seen that awesome small grader you have on this job but you certainly showed that a skilled operator can grade a road without one!
There's mud again but on the plus side it did tidy up nice. Lovely to see an old house given some love rather than getting a bloke in with a digger to knock it down. Safe travels up your way
it would be cool too see what the home looks like in a few months ,, if they keep the old look or make it look like a brand new home ,, Chris you did a great job on this one looked like a swamp now they have a driveway and when the rain stops they will have a yard ,,
Before I started watching your videos I didn't understand the artistry. A good equipment operator has to be an artist to visualize and create the vistas people want as well as having a knowledge of hydrology, material science, trees, and that doesn't touch operating and maintaining equipment. Thanks for opening my eyes
What’s even better is our our trucks aren’t sinking and our boots aren’t sliding/sinking. 🤣 Chris did a great job. We are excited to work with him this year on other projects for the farm. Feel free to follow our channel for the renovations
You made nice work out of that little muddy job. Nice old pioneer house will be sharp after a modern remodel - bet it has beadboard with sawdust and moss in the walls for insulation.
I learn an incredible amount from this. It’s exactly like studying film in wrestling, hockey, football or any other sport. Greatly appreciate the videos. you are one smooth operator 🤙🏻

I laughed out load with amazed admiration when I realised you had gently 'trodden' on that pipe to allow you to push the other section in using the bucket.
The hallmark of a great equipment operator. Make it look easy, fun and have things work out perfectly. In reality for the novice, it's not, not, and never does.
I truly enjoy watching and operator work their machine with such finesse, that they need not even exit their machine to make minor changes to the work they can do everything within the cab...!!!
The driveway is your canvas and the skid steer is your brush. I sit here for hours watching you create masterpieces. If you were in Pennsylvania, I know who my first choice of excavators would be 😊👍
What a Cool looking piece of property with some 110 year old buildings on the property. 👍
Yep. Reminds me of Texas Hill Country, except bigger, straighter trees.

Nice job as per usual 👍🏼that swivel attachment has certainly paid for itself in time saved on the job Chris.
Those old culvert pipes have definitely seen better days! Lots of debris in them eh? Thanks for sharing, nice work!
You make it look so dang easy, graceful. Thousands of hours of experience, makes a job turn out fantastic.
Excellent job!!! You have to be the best at backing up and all you did today. I was mesmerized. I'm a 59-year-old Mom and loved it:-)
Absolutely love your videos and commentary, feels like we are actually there with you. Thankyou for great videos.
Another great job Chris. Would love to see an update when they get this place done. Looks like a sweet project. Thanks for sharing.

@@andrewruble7706 Thanks!
wow...that skid steer really is the ideal driveway grading machine..... nice job
Not going to lie, all the rain y'all get makes me want to move there. Living in a windy desert makes rain and trees look wonderful
We get about 50+ inches of rain or more a year here in North Carolina
And your name is Dustin'
come to Chicago, and you can have 30 inches of snow and -30 wind chill, WELCOME!!!!!!!
@@freedomfan4272 That sounds awesome. Our average is 18ish but seems like less. 2020 we got 11 all year
Las Vegas here i feel the same way
Chris, you never disappoint with the quality of your work. I sure wish there was someone like you in my area. Thumbs up !!
Ice just thawed today after a week. Glad to see the sun shining. Stays wet here in the soggy south.
I don't think I anticipated how enjoyable it would be to watch someone else work now that I'm retired. Great video. Thank you.
Gotta say, there is something soothing about the sound of fresh footsteps on freshly graded stone, before the weather has a chance to wash away all the small stuff and leave only the larger rocks on the top.
I was going to say it was nice to see you dig out dry compact dirt for a second and then mud came. Learn something new today thank you.
I think this was the first time I saw you working at the Bealy Good farm. It was one of the first videos I saw of yours. I've seen most of the stuff you've done since and really appreciate your work.
You didn't seem surprised at the rain, I was shocked.
Good to have rainy day projects. Thanks Chris

Enjoy your channel. Nice work on the driveway upgrade.
Nice job Chris looks great
WOW! What an improvement for such a pretty place!! Great job!!
Man. Watching how delicately you seated those two pieces of pipe. Amazing craftsmanship!
By far the best heavy machine operator I’ve ever seen! Love the channel Chris keep up the good work.

was just amazed on how you held the pipe down with the blade then pushed it home
Amazed the pipe could take that
Man is a genius! I was wondering how he was going to do that lol
