Your last several videos have been great! You look great too. Very busy woman who manages to look like a million bucks and do all you do, you are a huge mentor and inspiration. Thank you.
"BAR KEEPER'S FRIEND" is the best for different metals. I had a cleaning business for the rich for over 30 years. Works on everything from glass cook tops to copper, stainless steel etc. I always bought the dry version. Never on silver though.
Oh !!! I still have my Mr Christmas Bells ! I bought them at an old store equivalent to Home Depot called ' Homebase' back in 1990 ! I used to put them on my fireplace mantel then years later in a small box hidden in my front door entry next to my lighted outdoor reindeer to play it's variety of musical bell tunes. Always enjoyed them & i still have them. 🎅 🎄
I think the teapot would shine using SOS pads. I agree with the others, Deer looks like a Macy's display piece. I am thankful for you too Karen, I learn so much for you! Thank you for sharing!!
Morning Karen. Senior here. Coffee in hand. I want to thank you for entertaining me this past year. Always enjoy your soft voice and your excitement in your finds . Of course for sharing with us.
I love your vids, so interesting....and, your personality.... I hope you don't mind, but I suffer from insomnia and some nights/early mornings....I put your vids on and relax and am able to fall asleep to your soft spoken lovely voice..Its the only thing that seems to work.... Thank you, Happy holidays!🎄🎀
I don't know anything about the deer, but I did have one of those strawberry cookie jars when my children were toddlers. My youngest just turned 40. ☺ My kitchen was decorated in strawberries. That was a thing in the early 80's.☺1982 think.
HI Karen-- thank you for the great haul. I know everyone is saying Macy's for the Deer however, I also think these could be display pieces from Target. I would email the corporate Offices of each to see if they can confirm.
Thank you for all of your videos. The knowledge I have gained has given me the courage to resell as part of my retirement from public education. By the time I call it quits in 2026, my business will be strong enough to kick to the curb all of the financial stress that retirement can bring.
Try cleaning the teapot with believe it or not tomato sauce of any kind. I have metal cookware and from time to time they will get staining in the bottom and I have found that heating tomato sauce in it on top of the stove for a little while works wonders. I think the acidity in the tomatoes is what cleans so well.
Oh Karen I am,new to your channel. I sure have enjoyed this video. So until next time God Bless you and your family and have a Blessed evening and stay safe my dear friend. 💚🙂
Omg.. The Mr. Christmas bells that you just showed almost made me seriously cry. I still have them since my mother passed away in 99’. She purchased those in 92’ for Christmas in Sears when there use to be a Sears, just amazing to see that someone else has these. The bells go along according to the songs. Whomever purchases these should really cherish them❤️ Hope you and your Family have Wonderful Christmas & New Year🎄
Question: It seems that the Younger gen wouldn't want to buy vintagey and older stuff like those teapots. They're more into "modern" designs. Does your audience for the vintage pieces trend "older"? Interesting finds.
I just wanted to comment on the "garbage" bowl in the tea/coffee set. I think you "swish" hot water in the tea cup and then dump it out in the bowl to warm the tea cup prior to pouring your tea.
Hi Karen, Great Finds! Your Goodwill has amazing low prices. You are so lucky. That backpack would have been $20 or more at my Goodwill. It is very expensive to shop at my Goodwills. A Dollar Tree item they will charge $3 or $4 dollars for. Just Crazy! I wonder why the prices are so different in different places of the country? Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving Weekend.
Hi Karen, I love the deer! So fabulous!❤ Quick tip, try using Bar Keepers Friend, the powdered kind on the tea pot. It requires a little bit of elbow grease, but usually works like magic on pots and pans! Hope that helps. 🙂 - Jenn
Here in NC there is a department store called Belk. That red reindeer is part of their Christmas display. The deer is their store mascot. I think that’s what you’d call it. They have the deer in different colors all year long.
I sold a Mr. Christmas Bells set 2 years ago for $75, I paid $2. Sold within a week of listing. Mine was the 1992 version. I believe yours is a year older..1991. The lights plug in. The missing part in yours appears to be the remote. The bells also appear to be missing the red bows. You can order new bulbs replacements on Amazon. Hope they sell quick for you!
That red deer is awesome! I wouldn’t even consider it just a Christmas item it is so sculptural it almost has a vintage 1950s feel to it that just is amazing! Hope you get a bundle.
I have a strawberry tea pot exactly like your cookie jar. I got mine from one of my cleaning customers. She painted hers at one of the pottery shops that were popular in the 80s where you could paint the pottery and they fired it for you.
My husband watched your video with we me for the first time and thought you were Gorgeous, (sorry Roger) it’s a compliment to your girl... hubby said wow babe she is beautiful..( have always talked about your videos) and this is the first one he saw with me... Karen that reindeer tho🔥🔥♥️♥️😘😘
Your GWs have such amazing things at reasonable prices. You're very blessed! You can also clean the interior of your teapot by filling with water, add a scoop of Oxi-Clean; bring to a boil. Put lid on. Turn heat down and simmer for an hour or two, then rinse well. I've been successful cleaning stained Le Creuset pans that way. Please stay safe out there! 💙
I have just discovered your videos, I loved watching all your great Goodwill finds. I’m from Texas and love watching different UA-cam videos. Thank you for sharing. I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving.
I just found your channel and am really enjoying it so far. I'm single working full time and a Realtor, however, I still seem to make more money to keep going.?i have started thrifting & flipping furniture & home goods. I totally love it and am hoping to get rid of my other full time job and just sell Real Estate & do flips!!
Karen I hope your Thanksgiving was Awesome! I love the big red deer! Your hauls are always wonderful and I am so thankful you take the time share your knowlege with us!
Hi Karen. It's a bit late but I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving with your families. Loved this video. I must start buying the larger items even though they are harder to pack. Also the games and needlework like yourself. I usually walk by them but now I've seen your variety of items I must be braver. See you again on Wed as usual. Take care.
Always enjoy and learn from your videos...Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving and so happy you have found someone “special “ to spend your holiday with...Thank you🧡🦃
Another great video, even on a crazy busy cooking Day😂 I heated a smoked turkey and honey backed ham. Actually cooked a ton of side dishes and ate everything in sight 🤣 Keep doing what you’re doing!! You’re awesome 🥰😎😊
Hi Karen! That red deer says Macy's to me! Let's call her "Scarlett"! Re the teapot: use Bon Ami to clean the inside. It is like Comet but without the bleach. Bon Ami is becoming hard to find at retail for some reason.
I have the Christmas Bells, just hung them the other day.Mine are electric, not batery. If you check yours probably are too.love them,I ixed them with garland.
My guess on the Reindeer is that someone painted him. Maybe he came from a store like Lowe's or Home Depot in a brown color and someone did a fabulous job changing him. Happy Thanksgiving and for all you do here on UA-cam! You are one of my favorites, Teresa
Metal cleaner that will clean anything that CAN be restored is “Mr. Metal”. I get it at Krogers. Amazon also has it at twice the Kroger price. About $5 Kroger…$10 Amazon.
I love all your videos especially the haul videos and to be honest I'm a bit envious of your prices....here in Florida our prices are crazy high. I think my husband and I will be taking a sourcing road trip to the northeast this summer. Thank you so much for sharing all the tips I especially appreciate your tips on shipping. I learned early on to box and weigh those large, heavy or crazy shaped, bulky and fragile pieces before listing. There is nothing worse than a mad search for a box (or having to make one) once the item sells....not to mention that box may add quite a bit of additonal weight increasing the shipping cost and reducing your profit..
You are 100% genuine! I just found your channel and am blown away . I have seen similar items throughout my own journey ( Just thrifting) . I called my husband and told him we are starting a store.
Karen. I use stainless steel teapots. I clean the stains using a dishwasher tablet with hot water and let it sit overnight. In the morning it will be sparkling clean 🌟 FYI....loose tea is called tea leaves not grounds.😊
Shumanit is a very strong cleaner that will get that off without the scratching that SOS or other steel wool pads leave. It’s sold on Amazon. I even use it on Corning Ware, Pyrex, stove top, uncoated frying pans…. It’s worth the price!
Such variety and great prices. Sounds like you two have successfully worked out working and being non-competitive or challenged by either's reselling business. Please don't get hurt. We love you and wish only the best for you!
I was always told to clean tea/coffee stains in pots and cups with salt. It works. I was not allowed to clean sometimes because it takes the flavour out of the pot, lol .
I would 100% have bought the red deer. I imagine he was in a Christmas shop display. I adore him!! Would look awesome in a NYC loft style home with the brick walls and industrial windows. I hope you make a great sale Karen
In order to clean the coffee pot please try putting very hot water in the pot with a dishwasher cascade tablet. let it set for a while, and hopefully it will work for you. I have used that method several times. .
Love your videos. Thank you for explaining why you pick items. Question on strawberry 🍓 cookie jar... would it be easier to sell local instead of shipping? Or will it sell for higher price or sell quicker on Ebay?
Fill teapot with water to bottom of spout, add 1/2 cup baking soda, bring to a boil then reduce heat to simmer until most of water has reduced. Much easier to remove gunk.
I just found you! I love shopping with you! You have such a calming voice. I love the shape of the tea set! Beautiful! The prices in Pennsylvania are amazing! By the way, you should keep the Burberry coat!!!!
Hi Karen, great haul. I did a search of your dear with my phone lens and a few links came up selling price between 200-300 dollars. Walmart was one of them but it said sold out. Try your phone lens to search.
This is a heavy fiberglass material, much different than the Walmart ones..Google Lens brings up similar looking items but doesnt necessarily bring up the correct one.
@@lavenderclothesline Perhaps. The one I read from Walmart said it was only 16 pounds. Maybe it was a dup. There was a set of two. The other was standing. Nonetheless, you got a great deal.

That red deer looked so pretty on your white fireplace.
Love the red deer and tea set.

So Amazing Karen!! I can always count on your videos for enthusiasm, humor and real informative. You pack it in!! Happy Holidays!! Much Love 💕
I’ve seen the wooden box used for yarn. It is beautiful!
Love U Karen! Thanks for your wonderful videos!
I know I’ve said this before, but the prices at your goodwills are crazy good. Great finds!

That wood drum box - WOW. And that teapot with that unusual handle is nice even if it needs a good scrubbing.

Use Barkeeper’s Friend powder to remove the staining in the teapot.

the deer looks like a lawn display. Something a person would put on their lawn in the winter time.

on the teaset use Bridgerton as a key word. lots of Bridgerton wedding/ baby shower/ party themes going on
