    Every time I see a standout, beautiful guitar, it's a Kiesel. I've yet to play one, but if they feel half as good as they look, I'll be happy.

    Hi Jeff, are you considering having the carbon fiber rod technology implemented on a neck-through guitar model?
    EDIT: Found out Kiesel/Carvin offers this on every model they build now. The next guitar I buy will be from these guys.

    You cant believe my shock and awe when i visited the Carvin site and clicked on the Bolt On models section only to see the beautiful and new Aries models looking at me. I know what my first custom carvin will be!

    dose the truss rod do anything with the carbon fibre rods being so strong?

    Excellent demonstration and information on the strength and stability of carbon fiber rods! Exactly what I was looking for. Thanks!

    What is the reason the carbon fiber rods stop so much short of the guitar nut area?

  • @wilfredjbrimley

    How can you add relief to the neck via the truss rod if the carbon fiber rods keep it straight? Several people have asked below, but I haven't read an answer yet.

      +jerry riccardi The truss rod over powers the carbon fiber rods, the rods just keep the surface of the board level and true

    • @pwm_pachie6664
      @pwm_pachie6664 8 років тому

      if the fret board is level and true, while the neck is adjusted... is it not possible the fret board could begin to separate from the neck?

    Doesn't the carbon fibre reinforcement render the truss rod useless if the former makes the neck practically unbendable?

  • @transamination
    @transamination 3 роки тому

    Stupid question, but if the carbon fibre rod is stiffer/stronger than the wood, would the wood not move/break/bend around the rod?

    This was an excellent presentation, and also answered some questions I had had, but hadn't gotten clarified, regarding neck reinforcement on Carvins.

    My English is not really good, but I hope you can answer me below questions. Many thanks!
    Q1: According to the video the guitar neck has Carbon fiber rods with 2 ways trust rod assemble together. If I want to adjust the guitar neck angle, I need turn the trust rod. Does it will hurt the guitar neck (wood / fingerboard)? Because the Carbon fiber rods are very tough and I keep turning the trust rod in which angle may pry the fingerboard inside!
    Q2: Does Kiesel guitars provide Evertune bridge? Thanks!
    From Hong Kong fans

  • @TheMLGTrashCompactor
    @TheMLGTrashCompactor 3 роки тому

    Ok... if the carbon rods hold it stiff... and u need to adjust truss rod do they resist that too? How does the relationship between the carbon fiber rods and trust rods work?

    • @trichinosis333
      @trichinosis333 2 роки тому

      They do obviously resist, but it's not impossible. The truss rod can easily apply enough force to adjust the neck any way you want, and the carbon fiber is mainly there to support against unwanted bending due to string tension or climate changes.

    Received My Aries today and I must admit, I was a bit disappointed. As I suspected several hours on a hot Fed ex truck and 100+ degree weather here in Las Vegas definitely effected my guitar contrary to the guys at Kiesel telling me that it would not. The neck was way out of whack and I had to make several adjustments. Every Unboxing demo of this guitar shows the user being surprised at how perfect the guitar was in tune after being shipped through various climates and in one case from California to Germany. I certainly had a different experience.

  • @threepe0
    @threepe0 5 років тому

    In New England here, and the stability during climate changes, and even sitting in my warm (not hot) car during the day, has been a life-saver. I have a few much more expensive guitars than my Kiesel, and the Kiesel has been my go-to for practice and play, partly because of this stability and reliability.

    Very good job! Still I have a doung: why installing the steel truss rod? Doesn't carbon fiber stiffners rigid enough to stand strings tension?!

  • @Leadfootkurtis

    once I heard that carbon fiber rod hit the table when you dropped I can tell thats some solid carbon fiber. wouldn't expect anything less from kiesel.

  • @bobyk87
    @bobyk87 4 роки тому

    Awesome. I really notice how sweet the guitar sounds with a straight neck. On my guitar it is a maple with rosewood skunk stripe. It keeps loosing tension and getting concave every once in a while and it messes the intonation. I have to always keep an eye on that sucker. Next purchase I will be smarter and get a guitar with a reinforced neck. String tension is really high even on 9's.

    Looks like the strongest neck in the business.

    • @DanielleMuscato
      @DanielleMuscato 8 років тому +3

      +anongrey They're very strong, but not as strong as a Parker. Parkers have a carbon fiber glass composite fingerboard and the entire back of the guitar (headstock, neck, and body) is covered with a carbon fiber glass composite "skin," or "exoskeleton" as they call it. It's the same idea as the carbon fiber rod, but applied to the entire instrument. You can literally put one across two chairs and stand on it (Ken Parker did this for an advertisement once).
