100% agree if you like gold buy gold if you like the look of white gold buy silver- white gold is just yellow gold mixed with other alloys to change the color, and white gold all eventually fades and some of the yellow will show over time. Also dont waste ur time with the stupid messy baking soda tin foil cleaning- they make silver cleaner for a reason.
Silver will oxidize more if you don't wear it. If you constantly wear your silver jewelry it takes al ong time for it to tarnish. But if you wear it and it gets wet and you take it off and let it sit in a jewelry box, it will oxidize/tarnish fast. I have done the aluminum + baking soda + salt cleaning trick on several of my older silver chains and it does work really well. Also, I would be interested in a giveaway for the chain you showed
I sold Jewelry at a shop a while ago. Sterling Silver was always our number one seller tied with White gold amongst men and women. Mike, you made some great points in your previous videos. If you want white gold, just purchase sterling silver. Looks similar for a huge price difference. Yellow gold has its place too, it was very common amongst our ethnic crowd. Rose gold didn’t sell at all..no one really liked it.
Thanks for another great review Mike! Question for you. If you were to get a sterling silver chain would you definitely do the Franco or consider a Cuban in that metal? are there any other dealers you would consider purchasing a sterling silver chain from? I.e. Harlem Bling? Lastly the sizing. I know you went with the 5.5 here do you find that to be a little too bulky for every day wear? Would you consider the 4 mm as an every day chain rather than the 5.5? Although I do like to feel a little bit of weight on my neck and I don’t like things overly small sometimes things get a little too large as well. Interested to hear l. For reference I’m 6 foot one and about 195 pounds. Wondering what size to get. in the Franco. Your thoughts would be much appreciated.
I would definitely go with the 4 mm over the five and a half millimeter I gave that to my son and he likes it it's for a younger guy but if I could give you some advice on the perfect chain for a guy your size I go with a 3 mm Byzantine about 26 in that would look super sweet and as far as silver goes whoever's got the best price and the best product go with that Luke Bryan usually has the best merchandise and I have found that his silver does not tarnish.
@@TheTriedTruth thank you for the advice! I was thinking the 5 mm would be too big. As I am not a young pup anymore! LOL! I will definitely check out that byzantine… You have opened my eyes to so many different links and looks! I would love to try out the Franco and buying it in silver is a nice alternative. Given my size and weight in the 4 mm silver Franco would you go with a 24 inch? or 22 or 26. I was thinking 24 inch but would appreciate your input. Would you even go down to a 3 mm in the Franco? Or the 4 mm a sweet spot?Again I’m going to use this as a daily driver for a while. Look Zion looks like a great place to buy silver!
I would love to have the chain you are willing to give away. It would be very sentimental to me as I follow your videos heavily and think it just looks terrific
I’m into white gold. In my opinion it has a much deeper shine while silver has a cloudy white, and much brighter appearance. I’m not dogging silver at all I just think to me it’s a much different look.
@@TheTriedTruth yes it’s definitely just preference on the look you’re going for. The smaller size Cubans in white gold 7mm and under are my favorite at the moment.
To stop silver tarnishing and to make it look even more like white gold, get it rhodium plated Great video and beautiful chain👍👍 Edit: also I would definitely be interested in some type of give away! Long time subscriber
I legit agree with you on preferring silver than white gold.
Good vid man and nice chain.
Love the glasses makes u look sick guyyy
Another nice piece for sure.....pretty beefy....well made
that's a beautiful Franco necklace and the 3mm necklace and cross really nice enjoyed the new upload look forward to the next one 👍🏻
I wipe my silver, and bag it with anti tarnish strips when I'm not wearing it. We'll see how that goes
I'd rock that box chain and cross. It's a cool design for a box chain

Looks great Mike. Sterling Silver is where it’s at.
