When you see the craftsmanship behind how these chains are made it makes you develop a new appreciation for these pieces, and respect for the labor that is put into these pieces.
Beautiful piece. Thank you for showing us the entire process. I had no idea how much went into it. This is a very good example as to why gold jewelry cost more than the base price of gold. Alot of work goes into making these.

Hello my friend. Incredible. Please I have a question. What do you use at the moment that you get the thread hited. You make it not to get black, how you do it please ? What’s that ?
Very good craftsmanship, I’d rather buy hand made jewelry like this than the stuff from big retailers. Trouble is it’s hard to find jewelry like this in 18k or 24k gold
Beautiful craftsmanship. Gold is fascinating, Ive always wondered what my stuff was before it was mine. Someones wedding ring? someone's tooth filling?
What are the numbers for cutting down the 1oz of 24k into 18k. Looks like you added copper and silver? Also what did you sprinkle on there? Flux? Borax? Thanks!
Использовать пульверизатор с флюсом- отличное решение. Если использовать припой в проволоке толщиной в половину от толщины проволоки звеньев, то можно избежать наплыва припоя.
@@AdrianC.98 Good morning! Thanks for the comment. I'm glad you bought it in Korea. What ring are you looking for? Are you on Instagram? If so, please send a message to @modern_faber_studio
What is the stuff you spray on the wire and what does it do, and why heat it after? Wish you had explanations for stuff. Jewellery making is intriguing 😁
Hey, really nice work you did here! There is something I've seen multiple times in your videos. You snap the Rings with the Wire cutter. In my opinion you can improve the quality of your rings by sawing them. Otherwise you will press down the edge while snapping and create a larger gab that has to be filled with solder. Keep going I love your videos
I think that with the rings being so small they lose less gold by using a wire cutter. Rings that small will take a small saw but the ratio of saw size to to gold diameter means the saw removes a lot of gold compared to large diameter gold rings and smaller saw bits. So less gold that you need to recover after cutting it. Thats my guess and I appreciate them showing us how to cut without a tiny saw for us beginners.
@@Native_love Yes that ist a good point. And maybe you are right with that I'm not a goldsmith. But if you look closely the gap created by snapping is relatively equal to a gap produced by a wiresaw. Maybe I wasn't clear enough in my comment because I also wanted to show the negative of snapping in pressing down on the material pushing it sideways so the diameter increase. That causes the solder to form a ball around the weld. Greets and tanks for your response
That's awesome, so that's why gold chains are so expensive because you guys and others put so much time into making them for us, that when people look at the price they wonder why its so expensive because they don't actually know how much time is put into these jewerly. that looks fabulous - great job guys 👍🏾⛓

Most golden chains are machine made. The manufacturering price is much cheaper than hand made gold jewelry

18 karats is about 78% Gold and then sterling silver would be about 15% then copper about 7% or vice versa.

Its gold if you mess up you just melt it into a bar again and start over. Same with Silver and Platinum too.
