The aspects really just stood there the entire raid. No epic helping power or mechanics. Then Fyrakk just like died just like that 😵
Pantheons in Argus fight: clears dot field, temporarily banished Argus, planted res tree etc etc.
Aspects on Fyrakk fight: just stands there as if they're Trion in ice or something
Honestly good it felt bad af during dragon soul when thrall sniped deathwing with that disk.
I really hope that there is a mythic only phase where they actually do something instead of just watching
@@Spl33ney I recall that there was datamined status effect called "Blessing of the Aspects" or something like that, which would indicate you're right.
Well they have a cast animation running so maybe something was supposed to happen ^^

after all the fighting we did alongside smolderon in legion it’s pretty stupid of him to bet against us on this
I love the idea of the leader of the firelands being like, affable. Like he's gonna go for the opportunity to burn all of Azeroth, but theres no hard feelings, just what he's gotta do. Would commend you for being strong fighters while kicking your ass and then being all like "ah, I would have gotten away with it if it weren't for you meddling mortals. I'll get you next time!"
maybe he though fyrakk would help him and not collect his essence

The expansion started out so strong... and... like the few that came before it... fizzled. Its flame went out much like Fyrakk did this raid.
Blizzard really... REALLY needs to step up the story telling. Or this game will truly perish...
Hopefully Metzen coming back bodes well.

@@TheBronf - Legion too, even though it was good in other ways. The raid story and ending are almost nonsensical. Sargeras wasn't set up in the slightest. lol
@@mokarokas-1727 WoD was super amazing still shame people kept making it the worst expansion when it truly had the potential to be the best if not for cut content for stupid legion and last possible sec final boss
In my opinion, large part of that is the game trying to cover too many topics in each given expansion. Aside from Alexstraza, we jumped around from topic to topic, character to character like sex worker on acid. And while this expac wasn't as unfocused as some others, it really didn't settle on what I thought was the main story. To this day I have no idea how Razageth was able to recruit the primalists (not to mention how was she able to get gnomes and dwarves to join considering their entire existence is owed to the titans). Iridikron, while being cautious of the player characters which is a nice touch that someone recognizes we've murdered our ways through the galaxy, just did more mysterious bad guy with deep voice.
Farakk seems fun but is bare bones, how did he find the ritual to become primal? What was the ritual? Drives me bananas.
@@mokarokas-1727Sargeras had all the setup needed from prior lore. We didn't really need that in Legion. Neither were we ever gonna get any kind of meaningful connection with one of the greatest and most powerful titans themselves. But Fyrakk needed more.
I really hoped there would be some more explanation on why Smolderon sided with Fyrakk and what exactly did he siphoned out of him. Yes, firelords like to burn things, but that feels like a way too shallow of an explanation...especially after we, the players helped Smolderon ascend.
Fyrakk himself was a very powerful beacon of fire elements, so that likely swayed Smolderon over to his side alongside all the other fiery stuff going on
that ending cut scene.... Vin Diesel would be proud. the power of family and friendship wins again... when you stand around and do nothing and watch little mortals (players) DO EVERYTHING. am i the only one that the more i play dragon flight the weaker the dragons seem to be? every time they show up they do nothing or get their ass kicked.
19:17 I never noticed since I was so tunnel visioned into the phase (we just BARELY won with 1 guy left) that the whole arena has the wisps circling the platform like we're at the epicenter of the Archimonde explosion. That is so hardcore.

Why we fight the defense forces is beyond me. Apparently the green aspect is charged with the defense of the emerald dream.. Couldn't ysera or her daughter talk to them or something?
Or at the very least they could try to come up with better explanation than "sry, I can't stop them and despite them clearly being sentient they can't be reasoned with." Why not have some small essence of nightmare slip in for example? We know that a bit of void remained in Emerald Dream despite us clearing it in Legion, show that it's still alive and might have someone new controlling it from the shadows, but also since we defeat it now before it gains any root, it's not gonna be immediate problem, just future dungeon or scenario or however they want to use that. Or maybe justify it with "taint of Ardenweld" or something like that, deepening the lore in the process.
Imo the idea isn't bad but not doing anything clever with it is just a missed opportunity.
@@retrohanska4441 That last bit of Nightmare actually bloomed in Battle for Azeroth. Afterward, it and the remaining essense of the Nightware were destroyed, so there isn't/shouldn't be anymore void left in the Dream.

Thanks for getting this up so fast! It's always anticlimactic to get to the end of the story quests, then be stranded at the entrance to a raid all by your lonesome.

I've always been a fan of Ebyssian and I have to say, his new model (both Dragon and Tauren) is fucking awesome.

Whoever wrote that last cutscene needs to be barred from writing another. It made the Jailer's death cutscene in Shadowlands look almost good by comparison.
Hilariously poor compared to some of the other cutscenes in this expac alone. It's was so cheesy it forced a chuckle out of me.

Fyrakk not even getting any last words is so lame. They did him the dirtiest out of all expansion end bosses.
There's literally nothing that makes him memorable or even an interesting character.
Imagine making a villain that every other character in the story rightfully calls a dumbass and then trying to make him out to be a serious threat.
It wasn't even like he was the strongest brute strength-wise, Iridikron bodied him without effort in the book.
And then they get Matt Mercer, one of the most skilled voice actors in the industry world-wide. What a waste Fyrakk was in every single aspect.

for me the expansion ended with the defeat of Razagath she was truly bad ass the fight and everything the whole raid definitely a worth end of an expansion kind of Boss much like Azshara was for BFA. That being said i love to follow the lore of WoW and definitely Nobbel's channel is the best place for me to experience it while no longer playing WoW itself. This primal fire dragon dude is just too cute to take seriously :D still i look forward to more of this expansions story and in to the next expansion who knows it might bring me back for its first raid tear again but it really needs to get back on Legion lvl of full story as whole in an expansion to keep me playing it past the first raid and hopefully never be as bad as Shadow lands was that didn't manage to keep my attention even for the first raid story to unfold let alone more
It would had been cooler if aspects had ascended in the fight helping to protect the tree.
Instead of almost doing nothing, and then ascending after the threat was dealt with..
Nimue is a name taken from Arthurian legend, most often associated with the Lady of the Lake, who has varying roles in the story and is portrayed as several different enchantresses depending on the version of the legend. One role was as the one who gave Arthur Excalibur.

I mean, Nobbel - as much as we all want to forget a flop the BfA was - wasn't Smolderon kidnapped by Dark Iron Dwarves / Twilight Hammer D.I. Dwarves, during Heritage Armor quest?
Yes, Fire and Air are hostile, but how did Druids of the Flame obtained Shards of Ragnaros? Where Smolderon was held at? How did he got to Emerald Dream, if it's a seperate realm like - not a elemental realm? Can you cook up a head canon?
Not sure where the smolderon kidnapped came from, afaik SMolderon was missing and they were trying to revive Ragnaros. "All in due time' is what we got out of justice grimstone.
Headcanon; Knowing that there's a slim chance of his defeat, Ragnaros the Firelord passed on some embers of his essence to his druids of the flame. One day they could use this power to bring him back, as we saw during the DI scenario, or they could use it for their own means, empower themselves.
Fast forward to Dragonflight and Fyrak got himself a sexy axe that allows him to open rifts through reality into other planes. He lit uses it in the end fight to create a rift from the dream into the firelands so our boy Fyrakk, primal incarnate of fire, visted Smolderon before the 10.2 took place. WHATUP SMOLDERON, old buddy old pall, you wonna come join me into burning down the dream/azeroth? LETS GOOOOOO. Ow whats that? I get to eat you now?! NOM NOM NOM.
The one thing I will say is hard to argue again; Why the heck would smolderon ever bet against us.

If you read the subtitles near the end of the fight you will actually see something interesting said by azeroth herself which may put more of an question as to what azeroth truely is
Unrelated, but has anyone else noticed how blizzard makes models hold 2-h axes and hammers? It looks dumb af.
The exception being how most races hold the holy paladin artifact weapon from Legion(The Silver Hand), which is held properly using the staff/polearm animation(except for by draenei and bloodelf). This should definitely be the default for 2h axes and maces.

I mean, he did kinda absorb the power of the Fire Lord as the Primal Aspect of Fire, then *leave* the "Firelands" area so..?
We are somehow hipocritic for pushing back Smolderon from invading the dream. After all, we did plant a pretty tree in the molten front. I am curious if it grew out of control similar to the botani on draenor. This would be enough for Smolderon to launch a counter-attack.

Small side note: if you're playing as a shaman who did Smolderon's questline, he will actually make mention of it as you approach him via the bridge. But I've gotta ask, isn't pointing the boss at the tree during his humanoid phase wrong? Like isn't the tank hit, hitting the tree?

Not going to lie after we defeated fyrakk i felt kinda bad because we were forced into a war which had nothing to do with us and right at the end did we really do anything good. Im confused about fyrakks ending. It makes us or the rest of the ones defending Azeroth look like they are the real enemy. I hate to say it but are we really fighting for the good of Azeroth or are we being used for a much bigger scheme. ?
I really dislike the oh lets throw some magic at someone and now BOOM i am evil. Is a really cheap way to get a boss and its so overdone. Atleast when the lichking did it made sense. Also ignoring the fact we could just heal them instead of killing them which was a mechanic in the fights
That raid looks fun, too bad i dont raid. Tried one time and we could never finish. Clearly raiding is something shouldn't do with random players
Raid finder is honestly pretty good for just following story. Much less toxic than trying to manually find a group. Gear and ilvl is whatever. It'll be worthless in a couple months anyways when new content and catch-up mechanics release.
I was wondering why we see Larodar at the feast after the raid. It sounded like we killed him in the raid no?

Raid looks a bit .. bland? Not saying its bad but certainly not awe-inspiring. Its not exactly how I imagined the emerald dream. Wasnt that like a forest kinda place? Like that emerald nightmare we have already been to but green instead of red. This looks more like a giant elven building with ridiculously high ceilings. That combined with the very 2005 textures just dont vibe with me.
I am hoping the textures only look that way on lower graphic settings
10.0 - Champion! We must regain our Aspect Power to fight the Primal Incarnates!
10.2 - 2 Incarnates down, 1 switched side and the aspects just got their power.
They can't even keep the plot straight in one expansion. I will be watching the fate of Azeroth in the World Soul Saga from Tural with pineapple drink in hand, thank you very much.

Does that mean there's no explanation why all the Azeroth's finest just chill out instead of coming into the raid to aid their champions? Just showing up because the champions obviously can't defeat the big bad by themselves, what message would that send...Anyway I was wondering how they're gonna mix the aesthetics so it isn't all fire, should've expected some more stupidity like "the dreams guardians rather gonna fight you than the fire burning everything around".
The raid seemed pretty and reasonable, alas far from fresh, anything-wise. Don't really care about the end aspect stuff, just do whatever retconning/setup you need Blizz, make a clean slate so hopefully there will be less need for contrived bs in the future.
I really dont understand the storytelling of this expansion "we must save the temple! Oh and while you are at it, slaugther its defenders too... because its cool i guess"

I would be happy to this mid poorly written extension to finally end, if i wasn't so sure the next one will suck at least the same amount

How come "deathwing" never went for the emerald dream but "faraag" (or whatever the name is) did???
Fyrakk's target was not the Dream. Fyrakk's target was Amidrassil's heart. That didn't exist until the seed was planted, which happened at the start of Dragonflight after the events of BFA and Shadowlands. Fyrakk wanted to imbue the heart with flame so that when it bloomed into the world, it would essentially bloom fire into the world. And he wanted to do that because he's just a guy who wants to see the world burn, but only barely had the power to do so.
Deathwing was not interested in destroying the Dream - he was interested in destroying Azeroth. His goal was to cause the Hour of Twilight by causing enough pandemonium over the world that doomsday cults would bring about the world's end, along with birthing a Draconic monster that none could stand against. We ultimately overcome the doomsday cults and Ultraxion, and then chase him to his death to stop his rampage.
I do wish we'd get a raid in the actual wild and verdant parts of the dream. It being all orderly and full of buildings kinda sucks.

Nope, it’s clearly the found family expansion, and through their cheesy one liners they will save the world!….. from forgettable villains and people that don’t agree with them x.x (can you tell I dislike this expansion…. Don’t get me started on how dirty they treat the titans)

So I guess the Orcs have finally taken Ashenvale Forest now? This means the Horde has the majority of Kalimdor, all of the Broken Isles, Zandalar, the Northen part of the Eastern Kingdom, and it looks like the Centuar of the Dragon Isles are looking to join the Horde.
Meanwhile the Alliance only has the middle and southern portion of Eastern Kingdom, Kul Tiras, and now the Dragon Isles...not looking good for the Alliance
