3:20 that’s exactly how german works „Gute Nacht“ = good night and „Guten Tag“ = good day..... „der Tag“ is masculine and „die Nacht“ is feminine so the endings in „gut“ change.

I really appreciated how you showed the "formal" way of saying phrases as well as the version where you combine the icelandic words. As someone who has been trying to learn Icelandic on and off for years, it's always been hard reconciling how icelandic sounds with how it's spelled.
As a suggestion for a possible video in the future, maybe you could pronounce some of the main streets and locations that are popular to visit in Reykjavik. That way we have a chance at telling the taxi drivers where to go properly :)

For a future hint, when you teach how to pronounce Icelandic words, could you point out the reductions of the sounds in usual speech. For example you showed how a stand-alone "þu" can become a suffix "ðu" combined with the preceding word. However, when you pronounce the word, I can barely hear the "ð". What happened to it? Are there other sounds that undergo changes or elisions in normal speech?

Ja , det jag tycker är intressant är att många ord på Isländska faktiskt är mer lika de svenska orden, än motsvarande på danska/norska. Kombinerar man det med lite kunskaper i väst/nynorsk så förstår man faktiskt en hel del utan övning :-)

It sounds like if you pronounce "hvar" like "kvar" is that so? And as I mentioned in another video, your "how are you" (combined version) sounds like our swedish "what are you saying" (vad säger du) :D

Myndböndin þín eru frábær, Hrafna! Þúsund takk. Ég bý í Ástralíu en heimsotti norður Ísland árið 2004. Frábær upplifun! Núna bíð ég eftir að keyra nýju Arctic Coast Way. Það er ótrúlegt, en að læra latínu og forngrísku í skólanum reyndist mjög gagnlegt til að læra íslenska málfræði - og þyska líka.

wow this language is so fascinating. I'm coming to Iceland Sept 21-27, are there any places out of the ordinary touristy waterfalls I should visit? And will the puffins be gone by then?

Hi Hrafna. I'm learning a lot from you, thank you:) I love the fact that the intro was Icelandic and then you touched on grammar a bit.
Super helpful:) Can't wait for the video about music .
I've got two questions for you.
Are there and do you recommend any places with live local music in Reykjavik ?
Is there and if so how does second hand clothes market look like in Iceland(charity shops, markets etc, )?
Also, how about every time you do a video about something, you sneak in a useful phrase or useful grammar rule in Icelandic?
    Keep them videos coming😀
Enjoy the heat while it lasts 😀
And sorry for the glaciers xx
