it is impressive how someone stay 2 months in the country, make a video about the place and dont even have a glimpse about the society and language i only stayed in ha giang 1 week and it bother me how many times you pronounce the name of the place wrong HA ZANG
It is so kind of you to talk with Vietnamese kids like that, it is the cutest moment I ever have seen, my childhood was full of Vietnam nature and mountainous. I wish you have a great time in Viet Nam. Your video is really genuine and lovely. Thank you!
Check out Da Lat...tons of stuff to do there like canyoning, the Maze bar, the Crazy House, clay village, Elephant Falls, Alpine coaster, coffee farms, etc. I think there's even things like Hobbit-like villages nearby. Phu Quoc also has a ton of stuff to do there from the waterpark to the safari to the prison and so on. Also, if you're unfamiliar with the food, do food tours in Hanoi like MomDuty, "This Food Bangz", and "Flora and Note" did in Hanoi or "Chase and Steph" did in HCMC/Saigon or "Steph and Pete" did in Hoi An. Many people eat the food wrong so don't get the real experience/flavor of Vietnam.
I’m so up for running away travelling and seeing the world in a simple way. Lavish is not my style. I love down to earth living with the people from the area. Experiencing their Culture, food lifestyle. Adapt live and just love life is the way to go. Go don’t wait. Just do it if you can.
Absolutely! I have been researching Vietnam like mad for the past few few days and I have yet to find anything to its detriment. Can't wait for November and December!
We’ve been following your entire journey through Vietnam and truly appreciate your sincere reactions of each place you’ve visited. Thanks for this video as you put it all together. We are planning our trip and this will be on repeat!
I love this show I am so happy just watching it. Being there I can not imagine how much happiness I would have. After I watch I will rest. I had USA food for dinner. After I rest I will watch this happy video again. Thank you from Breonna
It is better if you must be in the USA to try and not eat too much of their food, it is fatty, causes tiredness, and depression. It was not made for me. I get confused on what to eat.
Me, my best friend and our gfs took a chance on Ninh Binh and stayed for 2 nights and had an unreal time. I didn’t love all of Vietnam, but Ninh Binh was for sure one of the most magical places I’ve ever seen. I would love to go back one day. It’s also where I first learned to ride a scooter ! 2019…simpler times. Great vid bro.
Agree Paddy, Hanoi, Halong Bay and Ninh Binh were my main highlights of North Vietnam too, and this beautiful triangle of places alone, would make a lovely adventure holiday for anyone. Thank you again, for bringing back so many great memories of Vietnam, looking forward to your next journey, with you all the mate. 🙏🏻🙏🏻
Hi Paddy. I just finished the series. Hands down my favorite video was Episode 20, The best of Hoi An. The last 5 minutes of thay video was magical. The recording of the live music playing over the people watching was top notch. 👌 And I am sure you will NEVER forget thay family who took care of you early on for a few days that fixed your flat tire. They were a great example of how people in this world should take care of each other.
Note to self: Ho Chi Minh - Chi Chu tunnel system Phong Nha - Duck farm, caves, zipline dark cave Ninh Binh - Bich Dong Pagoda, Ninh Binh Viewpoint (sunrise/sunset, 30 mins to walk to top) Sapa (drive through cave + glass bridge 7:45) Ha Giang Loop (3 days, best on motorbike)
I also have to tell you that we've watched close to a dozen other You-tubers doing Vietnam and you are by far the Best! The effort you put into all your shots is wonderful. Your editing style and editing skills are amazing, clever and captivating. Your drone skills and how you add those shots to your videos are perfect. Your personality and attitude welcoming and congenial. Well done and thank you. Cheers
Your facial expressions as you speak about these places just tells how you genuinely enjoyed these places. Great video, thank you! Will add Vietnam to my must visit list!

Thanks Paddy , so much to think about when we go to Vietnam, your videos are so helpful , I watch all the time , I can’t wait to go to what looks like an amazing place
This is really useful for planning our first trip to Vietnam in December! We are English and teaching in Chiang Mai so trust your recommendations… just need to decide how to prioritise out of these places for a 2 week trip! Thank you for the always great videos 👍🏼
Go to Hanoi, Ha Long Bay cruise, Ninh Binh and Sapa, that will require at least 9 to 10 days and then finish up in Danang for a beach holiday. You will need to go back for a second trip as 2 weeks is not long enough. If going to Danang book a cheap river cruise on a Saturday night at 8pm so you see the whole city and all the bridges lit up and watch the dragon on the bridge spitting out fire and water. We paid approx $10 each and that included water and fresh fruit.

Hiya Paddy, great round-up of your trip. Another epic series. You're a master of your craft. Great video. Thank you for sharing. Great you finished your book. Happy Saturday and Weekend.
Paddy, I watched most of your motor bike tours in VN and I'm extremely envious. The video footage that you shared were so amazingly beautiful over the TV screen I can't imagine how much more breathtaking it would be to be there in person knowing that pictures don't do much justice. I also enjoy your humor, your honesty and your humility interacting with the locals. Thank you for sharing your VN experience, I can't wait to make an epic trip there. Wishing you the best & hope you'll find a Mrs. P soon to share your many road less travels & pack foods for you. Sincerely, KimLien.
Hi Paddy , a mate suggested I watch your videos and now I'm hooked. Especially your tours on your motorbike. I've recently retired and left Australia and now live in Thailand and I know you've been to Pattaya and met Karl from his UA-cam channel Karl's Thailand. Love your presentation of the video clip along with your humor. Good information and video picure. Thank you for sharing this with us.

Always wonderful, Paddy. Thank you. I think you’ve created your own brand. This is supported by the professionalism you bring to your video posts and the standardization with which you’re organizing the presentation of your experiences. I’ll sound a little American for a moment (I apologize), but consider looking into a marketing company that assists entrepreneurs in branding their creativity and with protecting whatever can lawfully be protected. Why do this? Answer: Because out of 10,000 content creators two are creative and 9,998 are imitators…nothing wrong with imitators as ‘imitation is the best form of flattery’. Life is long and you want your work to reward you for as long as possible. Blessings and thank you 🙏🏼.
I want to tell the Thai people to let tourists feel for themselves. Do not hate each other and defame other countries in every travel video of Vietnam. Thai people need to be polite.
This is a follow-up to my question, based on my three-day experience in Hanoi, re VND vs USD as the preferred currency. According to the replies I've received in this thread, the VND currency is the main currency to carry. However, the USD comes in handy in areas where there is heavy "international" tourist traffic -- certain restaurants, hotels, tours, major airports, etc. Thanks for the replies. Cheers! dcb.
1. Free visa for uk tourists in 15 days. To stay beyond 15 days, you may apply E-Visa. Maximum length of stay for a tourist visa is 30 days. After 30 days, if you wish to stay longer, do a visa-run. 2. No any requirement for covid vaccine passport. You should watch the youtube channel “Ride with Gabi”. He has an detailed instructional video of “how to enter Vietnam”. Very helpful! You pick up the best time to visit Vietnam. Oct is autumn in Nothern Vietnam and the weather is cool, comfortable. If you plan to visit Sapa (Vietnam), you need a light jacket.
Really enjoyed this video Paddy...very informative and great to revisit your favourite parts of your trip. I've said previously that Vietnam is my dream destination and a place I'd so love to visit, especially Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh city, Cu Chi and Ning Binh which looks stunning.
at times, to shock the other members of the cabinet. One night Paine suggested that I prepare a lecture entitled "The Age of Reason," and deliver it from the pulpit of a church that I formerly attended. Many around the table laughed heartily at the suggestion. Not Napoleon! He drew his mouth down at the corners and groaned so loudly that all turned and looked at him with amazement. To him the church was but a pawn of the State, not to be reformed but to be used as a convenient inciter to mass activity by the people. On one occasion Burbank was late. When he came, he was excited with enthusiasm, and explained that he had been late because of an experiment he was making through which he hoped to be able to grow apples on any sort of tree. Paine chided him by reminding him that it was an apple that started all the trouble between man and woman. Darwin chuckled heartily as he suggested that Burbank should watch out for little serpents when he went into the forest to gather apples, as they had the habit of growing into big snakes. Emerson ob- served, "No serpents, no apples," and Napoleon remarked, "No apples, no state!" Lincoln developed the habit of always being the last one to leave the table after each meeting. On one occasion, he leaned across the end of the table, his arms folded, and re- mained in that position for many minutes. I made no attempt to disturb him. Finally, he lifted his head slowly, got up, and walked to the door. Then he turned around, came back, laid his hand on my shoulder and said, "My boy, you will need much courage if you remain steadfast in carrying out your purpose in life. But remember, when difficulties overtake you, the common people have common sense. Adversity will develop it." One evening Edison arrived ahead of all the others. He walked over and seated himself at my left, where Emerson was accustomed to sit, and said, "You are destined to witness the discovery of the secret of life. When the time comes, you will observe that life consists of great swarms of energy, or entities, each as intelligent as human beings think themselves to be. These units of life group together like hives of bees, and remain together until they dis- integrate, through lack of harmony. These units have differences of opinion, the same as hu- man beings, and often fight among themselves. These meetings which you are conducting will be very helpful to you. They will bring to your rescue some of the same units of life that served the members of your cabinet, during their lives. These units are eternal. THEY NEVER DIE! Your own thoughts and desires serve as the magnet that attracts units of life, from the great ocean of life out there. Only the friendly units are attracted--the ones that harmonize with the nature of your desires." The other members of the cabinet began to enter the room. Edison got up and slowly walked around to his own seat. Edison was still living when this happened. It impressed me

Tip for crossing street in Vietnam: Many tourist foreigners scared of traffic in VN . Don’t worry about it! The rule to win this fear is keep routin slowly walking when you across the streams of motobike! motor-bykers knows how to avoid you themself in chaos-order! remmember do not runs and stop suddently , accident immidiatly ! Don’t be affraid of and do it if you want to be safety in the crazy- traffic in Vietnam.
Nice recap! Excellent adventures! Question: When I was in Hanoi, the US Dollar was the preferred currency with the VN Dong being handy for small change. Is this the norm all around the country? Just wondering. Thank you for another entertaining video. Five stars!!!!! dcb
This is not true and in some smaller places the US Dollar will not be excepted only VND. I had a experience with a older US traveler who had gone on a bus tour but on had US Dollars, we where the only two westerners on the tour. I did change some of his US Dollars for him but you may not be so lucky. It is a good idea to always have VND with you.
Not true, only the Dong is accepted as payment. This is true in Cambodia though, US dollar with the rial for small change. Some apartment building landlords will accept the bond and rent in US dollars in Vietnam.
@@ausbare140 I was only in Hanoi and thereabouts for a few days where I had to carry both forms of currency. The US dollar was the preferred currency with the VD dong being the currency for small change. Maybe that's only the norm for visitors. Thanks for the information. Much appreciated. I'm Canadian btw. Our money looks like play-money to a lot of folks so that's a no-go. Cheers! dcb
@@steveth1000 Thank you, Steve. Note that I asked this question based only on my three-day experience in Hanoi. I looked into this a little further. So, now I am properly informed that the VND rules. The US dollar, however, comes in handy for areas where there is heavy foreign-tourist traffic -- touristy restaurants, hotels, tours, major airports, etc. Yes, I did experience that in Siem Reap, Cambodia as well. Kind regards . . . Dave from Toronto, Canada / Prawet, Thailand.
Because the North is way better than the South in terms of landscape and views. Not to mention there are plenty things to do even going there as a tourist.

Well said.
Cheers! dcb.
just dong, not much us currency used in cities, very rural places like us currency, laos, border areas ect, outside that ,just dong
@@lordstubbington7274 interesting . . .thank you LS. dcb
Hi paddy great channel! Is there any travel requirements for Vietnam? I’m from uk and heading there end of October
Please check IATA website for entry information that is current 👍
UK citizens don't need visa traveling in Vietnam
You will need to get an E visa online if your trip is for more than 15 days.
Glad you enjoyed it
at times, to shock the other members of the cabinet. One night Paine suggested that
I prepare a lecture entitled "The Age of Reason," and deliver it from the pulpit of a church
that I formerly attended. Many around the table laughed heartily at the suggestion. Not
Napoleon! He drew his mouth down at the corners and groaned so loudly that all turned
and looked at him with amazement. To him the church was but a pawn of the State, not to
be reformed but to be used as a convenient inciter to mass activity by the people.
On one occasion Burbank was late. When he came, he was excited with enthusiasm, and
explained that he had been late because of an experiment he was making through which he
hoped to be able to grow apples on any sort of tree. Paine chided him by reminding him that
it was an apple that started all the trouble between man and woman. Darwin chuckled
heartily as he suggested that Burbank should watch out for little serpents when he went into
the forest to gather apples, as they had the habit of growing into big snakes. Emerson ob-
served, "No serpents, no apples," and Napoleon remarked, "No apples, no state!"
Lincoln developed the habit of always being the last one to leave the table after each
meeting. On one occasion, he leaned across the end of the table, his arms folded, and re-
mained in that position for many minutes. I made no attempt to disturb him. Finally, he
lifted his head slowly, got up, and walked to the door. Then he turned around, came back,
laid his hand on my shoulder and said, "My boy, you will need much courage if you remain
steadfast in carrying out your purpose in life. But remember, when difficulties overtake you,
the common people have common sense. Adversity will develop it."
One evening Edison arrived ahead of all the others. He walked over and seated himself at
my left, where Emerson was accustomed to sit, and said, "You are destined to witness the
discovery of the secret of life. When the time comes, you will observe that life consists of
great swarms of energy, or entities, each as intelligent as human beings think themselves to
be. These units of life group together like hives of bees, and remain together until they dis-
integrate, through lack of harmony. These units have differences of opinion, the same as hu-
man beings, and often fight among themselves. These meetings which you are conducting
will be very helpful to you. They will bring to your rescue some of the same units of life
that served the members of your cabinet, during their lives. These units are eternal. THEY
NEVER DIE! Your own thoughts and desires serve as the magnet that attracts units of life,
from the great ocean of life out there. Only the friendly units are attracted--the ones that
harmonize with the nature of your desires."
The other members of the cabinet began to enter the room. Edison got up and slowly
walked around to his own seat. Edison was still living when this happened. It impressed me

Are the scooters automatic transmission?
Absolutely 💯 very good conclusion 👌 of the great journey of yours in Vietnam 🇻🇳 👍 👌 😀
Tip for crossing street in Vietnam:
Many tourist foreigners scared of traffic in VN .
Thank you so much Paddy. I love all your videos about vn, stunning. where did u do the ziplining? i would love to do that. beautiful! thank u.
Traveling through Viet Nam by motorbike that's really interesting things you need to do 👍👍
Hoi An is a must for any visitor.
You seem to put a Big Bang for the North! Some says North and South are two different countries! Of course the South has her own charm!
Kinda like the U.S.A.
Because the North is way better than the South in terms of landscape and views. Not to mention there are plenty things to do even going there as a tourist.
amazing video! thank you
