It takes me back to when I was 4 years old playing the game for the first time. This does the original justice. Thank you for this arrangement. It's beautiful.
You, sir, have just won my respect and my appreciation. Sonic the Hedgehog was the first game I've played in my whole life and Green Hill Zone's theme is stuck in my soul. You made me cry with this. :,) Thank you, sir.
I'm glad to see you taking criticism like that so well. These days people get offended if you make the slightest point that isn't complementary. Its a great piece by the way.
dummeh, I am just simply going through every song and favoriting it. I made a special folder just for you. You truly deserve more views. These songs are better than any new song on the radio nowadays.. Keep making songs!
this... is... I don't know... something that's remind me all of that hours expended playing sonic... all the levels... all the bosses... all the bonuses... is... beautiful...
I liked the brass, but that's probably 'cause I'm a euphonist. It gave the piece that epicness I love dummeh's music for, and made the whole piece seem more grand, whilst retaining it's lightheartedness.
Excellent! I love how harmonious this is; it's impressive. I can see colors in my head *committed. Great blend of instruments, well balanced, finely crafted as ever! This tune will never get old.
A piece with a lot of highs, but a few lows too. I love the use of chorus', a really nice touch during the piece. Use of wind instruments during the second section (0:14 on) is amazing, that's the bit that gave me chills. The big third section (0:42) is brilliant too, excellent use of brass to bring it out. The use of brass during the opening and at about 1:58 though are too hard hitting such that it contrasts too greatly with the lighter tone of second section, and overpowers the background.
epic win. This is just plain beautiful ^_^ This should be played in a movie or play featuring sonic characters. Or better yet,his birthday coming up this June. =D
This is a beautiful rearrangement piece of music. Obviously alot of hard work was put into making this. PS: Can the trolls who keep saying ''it's too slow'' exit stage left please.
Although I have to say the only thing this song lacks is the first measure (the original 16 notes that introduces the main loop). It would have been lovely to hear them as a xylophone/woodwind duo.
Critique helps. Even we still think its the best thing since sliced bread doesn't mean that we have to bash the guy. Besides its well thought out comments like his that help an artist improve.
This is awesome!!! :-D If I could make a suggestion: I would add a 3rd instrument party (no idea which instrument will be appropriate) in the introduction, i.e. between 00:00 and 00:14, and again between 01:58 and 02:30 that plays the following sequence: G, F, G, F, G, F, A, G, F, F, G, A, F, G, A, A, G. I hope I got that right - and that it makes sense! ;-)
love it, better than ubergaru's version. any chance of you putting out more sonic orchestra music? perchance some things from sonic 2, specifically - chemical plant zone, mystic cave zone, and oil ocean zone?
@dummeh I have a request that I think would sound awesome orchestrated! Try listening to the Forest Maze Theme from Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars. It reminds me of something from Zelda, and I think it would be a great piece.
uh he said thing he work on so not everything free and its still taking up his time, i count 100 for just remixes hes released thats over 3 hours on playlist. he says on his site he takes an hour or 2 to make a minute of music so that means 180-360 hours work!!
dummeh, this is great stuff, but I hear an occasional pop in the music. For instance, there's one at 2:37. Making sure it wasn't my external sound source causing it, I also tried my laptop's internal sound chip, and the pop is still there. There's popping at other locations too, especially right at the beginning of the music. Are you hearing these as well?
There was a time long ago when I confused you with somebody else that was doing orchestrations of videogame music and now this is just going to make it even worse. For what it's worth, I really like this better than his rendition.
It is required that I reach a high rate of acceleration.
It takes me back to when I was 4 years old playing the game for the first time. This does the original justice. Thank you for this arrangement. It's beautiful.
This sounds like it could be in a Sonic open world game. Once again, great work!
yes it does
Yea it does...
agreed,good observation
"Sonic, Pace of the Wilds".... no? what? is it to on-the-nose?
Time Mage *cough* Breath of The Wild *coUGH*
Omg the flute beginning almost made me cry.
Struck me right in the childhood.
i have to increase my speed -gentleman sonic
It is imperative that I exponentially boost my horizontal velocity! -Gentleman Sonic
GATA GO FAS - Sanic
Increasing the second differential of my position with respect to time is what is required of me - Mathematician Sonic
Remy Vernege Oh, you mean Tails?
speed-the one sonic whomst can barely talk
Sanic doth move swiftly.
Frabjous I am in the need of acceleration.
+Bartholomue The-Guitar Easy: speed to x1.25
that artifacting though XD
Gotta go allegretto
You just made the music major inside of me a very happy man
SFtheWolf You kidding? Gotta go _prestissimo._
Gotta go fortissimo.
Well, glad you're not a minor...
SFtheWolf You're too largo!
Its got the skyloft feel, quite a lot of your music does. Seems like everyone relates your music to something they love. Amazing job ^_^
Sounds like you're flying an airplane and watching Sonic running in the hills
god, that gave me goosebumps.
So literally be Tails flying the Tornado.
POV: your tails
If they ever make that Sonic movie, this would be perfect for it.
Cameron Miller Well then, now they are making it...And there's Green Hill on it...
Oh boy look at what we got😂
Been spendin' most our lives
livin' in the Gangsta's Paradise...
It's near the end of the movie when they're painting.
they did know its 2020
...
One is obligated to proceed at high velocity
1.25 speed sounds good.
Wow, your right! :)
1.5 sounds even better!
Mobile version has no speed change... ; - ;
*****
Sonic X 4KIDS dub sucks.
*****
Wheres HL3?
Still one of my favorite remixes ever.
GOTTA GO SLOOOOOOOOOOOOOWW!
DOAUGH YEA
Gotta go mildly fast.
It's isn't necessarily imperative to proceed with any urgency.
A Sonic The Hedgehog Remake with this track :D
Sonic mania
Still one of my favourite orchestrations of yours, and possibly the one that got me subscribing all those years back!
Would be fitting for the Sonic movie in 2019 neat year.
I know right
happy anniversary sonic.
25 years and beyond

The Elder Scrolls: Green Hill
This brought tears to my eyes for some reason, so fucking epic... how are you NOT a hollywood composer?
I'm glad to see you taking criticism like that so well. These days people get offended if you make the slightest point that isn't complementary. Its a great piece by the way.
Obligatory “It is crucial that I attain maximum forward velocity”
All jokes and memes aside, this is absolutely superb. Great work as usual.
1.25 speed
Gotta go fast
correct.
Hooah
Kudos!
Sonic demands FAST!
We must increase the velocity in which we move to a greater amount
connor kennell You seem to be almost overly lacking in the velocity department...
dummeh, I am just simply going through every song and favoriting it. I made a special folder just for you. You truly deserve more views. These songs are better than any new song on the radio nowadays.. Keep making songs!
This is spectacularly arranged! Well done!
Dude, if you made a full soundtrack of retro classic games orchestrated, I'd so buy it.
the best orchestra I've heard for green hill zone
I honestly don't mind it being at a slow tempo honestly.
This reminds of of Christmas when i was younger. Anyone else? :)
lol, me too!
Do I hear a choir?
*Ears Twitch* Sorta....
This orchestral cover is relaxing and grand all at the same time. Interesting take on the song. I love it.
this... is... I don't know... something that's remind me all of that hours expended playing sonic... all the levels... all the bosses... all the bonuses... is... beautiful...

It gave the piece that epicness I love dummeh's music for, and made the whole piece seem more grand, whilst retaining it's lightheartedness.
Once again, I've been completely put to shame by your work. Well done my friend...
I love the chords the horns are making!!!
Excellent! I love how harmonious this is; it's impressive. I can see colors in my head *committed. Great blend of instruments, well balanced, finely crafted as ever! This tune will never get old.

_As Sonic runs, he takes in the wonder and amazement that is the suburban Mobian community of Green Hill._
Damn this hit me hard when the strings kicked in 0:30
Caramba sensacional!!!
me veio um filme na cabeça quando eu era criança jogando Sonic no Master System saudades...
Absolutely fantastic!
0:15
It's a rearrangement for the PAL theme. And going faster might spoil the beautiful layering (hear the choir bits in the background?)
I love it, its peaceful
epic win. This is just plain beautiful ^_^
This should be played in a movie or play featuring sonic characters.
Or better yet,his birthday coming up this June. =D
Hm... This kind of reminds me of Brawl. Just they style and the way it was done, that's all. This is amazing.
I would LOVE to hear your take on some of the old Starcraft and Brood War songs if you have the time.
Amazing as always, keep up the great work!
wow rly liked this , it rly brings out the epicness of sonic fantasy VI the mmo rpg back to life !! good jeb
*really. *jeb.
Also, its punctuation, then space, not space, punctuation, space.
Holy donuts In my pockets WHAT AM I LISTENING TO RIGHT NOW.
This Is marvelus, son. And you deserves to be paid.
thanks for sharing, made me reminisce, made my day
This is a beautiful rearrangement piece of music. Obviously alot of hard work was put into making this.
PS: Can the trolls who keep saying ''it's too slow'' exit stage left please.
I like it! It obviously wouldn't work if it was in the original game but it works as a stand alone. I love it so much actually!
Lovely, just love that saxophone you put in there =D
This sounds amazing. Would never have guessed it was made on a DAW! Awesome! I bet all those vst's cost a lot of money!
it's about time you do this one.
A M A Z I N G!
just awesome.. really nice touches
There are some libraries that I don't think he worked on though like Orchestra Tools' Orchestral String Runs or Symphobia
You my friend, have made something special for gamers young and old.
Although I have to say the only thing this song lacks is the first measure (the original 16 notes that introduces the main loop). It would have been lovely to hear them as a xylophone/woodwind duo.
beautifully done.
Beautiful!

Gunstar Heroes Norio Hanzawa ! this is a great challenge maestro !
This is just too good.
Cracking stuff again.
I love it how this sounds a bit too epic
I remember when you were doing this stuff with fastracker!
uh he said thing he work on so not everything free and its still taking up his time, i count 100 for just remixes hes released thats over 3 hours on playlist. he says on his site he takes an hour or 2 to make a minute of music so that means 180-360 hours work!!
amazing game and music

He wasn't referring to the particular track, but the overall style of the composition.
I love this. :D
I would die of happiness if you did the Cave Story - Plantation theme.
Speechless
This is AWESOME !
Put it In 1.25 speed and check it out
If this music was in the Sonic movie tht be awesome! :D Nice music! I really like the new Orchestra version!
The bonus of been used to the PAL version, I'm used to this speed...
fantastic! people criticize your genius too much
GOOD JOB ON 100K SUBS!!
I seriously cried when it got to the chorus in the beginning :') Idk why but it touched me
I really want to learn the piece by Blake Robinson called Welcome to the kingdom on Piano, would you please make a tutorial? :)
This is another magical piece! Thank you for sharing :)
Wow, this sounds epic.
Ahhh the chills...
Amazing!

Holy shit this is fucking awesome! You should totally do the entire Sonic 1 soundtrack.
