This is the ONLY video on youtube I found that basically tells you how you can plumb a second unloader to a pump with an integrated unloader. Thank you for making it.
I will be doing this as my second pump is an AR RSV4G40 which is pretty good regardless of comments I've seen online. Idiots saying just to spend more money when this is easily doable and a cheaper alternative. More expensive doesn't always equal better.
My Simpson 4gpm has a Cat pump with internal unloader valve. If I were to add an external unloader valve, would I keep the original pressure nob that is currently on the machine to adjust pressure? So basically you add the new unloader valve after the original pressure knob and have two different adjustments knobs. The factory one will set the internal valve to 4000psi, and the new external valve would be set around 3800 psi.
Great video I just ordered the unloader valve that you link up. Can I add this to my pressure washer even though I already have a unloader valve that is built-in to the pump? I’m just wondering how it will circulate if you can’t get past the first unloader valve.
tjc1ny yes you can . You will need to set the unloader on Machine at a higher pressure than the new one. So machine unloader 4000 PSI and one you bought at 3800psi or lower than machine one. This will allow water to circulate to the buffer tanj
I've been hunting all over for this solution. I will eventually set up a custom built washing unit for my shop, but now need to figure out how to keep this bugger from burning up. I can already feel the heated water running through the handle if I set it down even for half a minute. Thank you!
I'm using a single 100 gallon tank though because I have a few places that have no power or water. If I start doing this for biz, will need a larger tank.
Im getting a sompson 4400psi 4gpm pressure washer and was wanting to hook it up to a buffer tank so i wouldnt have to keep the trigger held i know o need a unloader and bypass just wondering how to set it up
Re watched video. This is great info I'm sure you're going to save alot of machines and alot of people money and headaches. Good stuff always 👍. Thanks Jason
Awesome videos, Jason. I do have a pump that has the unloader valve built in. I just want to make sure I understand. I can add another unloader valve beyond the built in one and set this new one to a lesser pressure?
Hi. Thanks for the video. Good work. off topic but can i use any pvc ball valve to set proportions .the fancy ones people like to show on youtube i would have to import in from the US to Canada. and it ends up doubling there price.
Thanks for the simple explanation. Might be a dumb question cause I’ve never seen anyone ask this, but rather than a buffer tank, can you plumb the unloader bypass through a radiator and back into the input? Then the heat would be expelled through the radiator and you wouldn’t need the buffer tank. Also I assume the reason for needing the tank is because the built in thermal relief valve may not work? I have a cheap pressure washer and have definitely had water leak from the thermal valve before. But my focus here is on a different, free pressure washer I picked up, where the engine appears to be stuck but I pulled off the pump and it spins freely so I’m going to attach it to a new engine, but the pump has a built in unloader and I want to add a radiator or a tank to ensure the pump doesn’t burn up. Thanks again!
The integrated unloader in my pump is finished, to the point the spring is broken in 3 pieces. So the only way to do it is to max out the integrated unloader valve? Is there a way to block off the original unloader port and just install the external one?
Jason, My unloader valve is actually a part of the pump, and after it is the chemical injector. It's a AAA pump on a Honda motor. I see no place to disassemle this, and I'm concerned about the pump overheating. I've watched your videos, but none specifically address this issue. What am I to do? I have a water tank in my van, with a Hudson valve, and water coming into a 4 way splitter so I can refill the tank, go to my pressure washer, and one for a safety rinser. Am I missing something other than what I see in the videos about plumbing this unloader valve?
whats the right chemicals i should have to start out with. i used the ez armor mold and mildew for my vinyl siding worked excellent. is it good for everything or what
if anyone has done this to a simpson alh4240 (honda 390 with a Cat pump) please for the love of god tell me where to get the discharge fitting that goes from the pump to the new external UL. I thought it was just a 3/8 nipple but I was mistaken. I got it plumed using the chemical injector but i know it is causing an unnecessary restriction in the line.

Guy gives new meaning to the term “bucket seat”. Good video. Thanks.

That was also my question thanks for answering it.

Use a buffer tank
Yes, that's what I'm planning on doing.
I'm using a single 100 gallon tank though because I have a few places that have no power or water. If I start doing this for biz, will need a larger tank.
Can I add a unloader bypass plumbing kit ( not a whole new pump ) to a 4gpm triple aaa pump??
Yes you can
Im getting a sompson 4400psi 4gpm pressure washer and was wanting to hook it up to a buffer tank so i wouldnt have to keep the trigger held i know o need a unloader and bypass just wondering how to set it up
set up the buffer tank. I have several videos on it and coming out of the unloader it dumps into the buffer tank.
Just a question the unloader valve you linked Will work for my 4 gpm 4.400 psi thanks for your help
What’s the easiest way to put that unloader on the opposite side next the belt cover.

That is correct
Thanks, Jason!
Lisa Russo did you have to take off built in chemical injector
Can you do this if your pressure washer has a built in unloaded valve?
Showing love to your older videos Bro 😎
Can i add a return hose to a predator pressure washer?? My pressure washer dosnt have that knob on my pump
Hi. Thanks for the video. Good work. off topic but can i use any pvc ball valve to set proportions .the fancy ones people like to show on youtube i would have to import in from the US to Canada. and it ends up doubling there price.
You probably could. It just making sure how far you open it andmarking it
Does a homeowner need a buffer tank on a 3200 psi dewalt pressure washer with a cat pump? Cleaning siding and washing 1 car and a truck once a week?
No but just don't let it run it all burn up the pump
Would this work for a Predator pressure washer 4400psi 4.2gpm ????
Yea
If I cannot remove my unloader valve can I remove the internals, plug it and connect one with a bypass in it?
Wow I think you just blew my mind I think you just answered everything I needed. Love you videos
Awesome thanks glad I could help you

Yeah I know some people that have done like a 10 or 20 foot hose and has worked all right for them
I have a question how do I and and bypass to my buffer tank with this type of unloader valve
Exactly the video I needed. It's like you read my mind. Thank you!
richard stewart I’m a mind reader lol glad this video help you
I have a cat pump with a defective build in unloader. Can I use a external unloader.
As long as that unloader valve is not working where it will go high then yes you should be able to do that
Jason can I remove the thermal relief valve and replace it with a hose going to a buffer tank
No.
Just what I needed to know. Mick looks like we’re going to need better pressure washers with an unloader bypass valve to keep are shit cool
Mick Franks the Honda gx200 looks ideal
@@Santoasty1117 no way minimum 4000 PSI 4 gal a minute
What if it has a relief valve for the over heating,is that good enough?
Is it a adjustable one ore a blow out one?
Can I leave the chemical injector off when I place other unloader on
Should be able to
Power Washing worked great, thanks
Great info Jason. Quick question. Is the pressure washer in this video 4,000psi? I though it was 2500psi at 5.5 gpm? Thanks
The integrated unloader in my pump is finished, to the point the spring is broken in 3 pieces. So the only way to do it is to max out the integrated unloader valve? Is there a way to block off the original unloader port and just install the external one?
Is it going to full pressure right now.

Some unloaders are built-in and you actually have to add an external one
whats the right chemicals i should have to start out with. i used the ez armor mold and mildew for my vinyl siding worked excellent. is it good for everything or what
note: chemical tanks-do you have a video on them?
How do you set one valve to 4,000 psi and set the other to less at around psi 3,000?
i can't like this video enough. thank you Jason
Where is the internal unloader on the pump in the video? Would be nice if you took a video of the process. ?
Good info Jason👍thanks
Thanks for watching
thank you Jason Diamond

Very important
Dj De Lisle yes it is
I will be buying one soon. Thank you.
$50? cause my unloader for the john deere pressure washer made by Mi T M is $166~$177 part number 8-0493 unloader
Go on amazon and find it cheaper
Bro, you gotta get a better mic. It's unbearable.
