I have did the same thing as you but with the supply line and the bypass going into the same drum, it still overflows while im letting chemicals dwell unless i turn off the machine. Float valve only stops the supply...not all the water from the bypass.
Luckily I haven’t had it overflow since getting the float valve. I popped that red cap a few times before that with water pressure. That was quite comical. 😂
@@robfox139 If you could find a plastic with a lid it would keep you from cutting the hole for the float valve. Once it is cut and plugged it is about the same thing.
