The pull is probably the most effective of this drills borrowed from boxing. I mean slip is alright, but the head is targeted WAY less than body in sparring (contrary to boxing). And you simply can't slip with body
My thoughts exactly. I do some kickboxing and these dodges work because human hands have a limited range and in boxing you tend to aim for the head to do some damage. But kicks are a different story. You have to check kicks with your legs, block/catch with your hands or backstep. Looks like the same applies to rapier. Dodges are working when you strike forward or horizontally. But if you slash diagonally and aim for the body it's undodgeable more or less.
Great to know the counters
Like that you're able to show the real time effectiveness
Awesome that you able to show examples of it being done to the top fencers in the world.

@@bartomiejstefanski3040 i agree. The pull is def the one that usually gets used the most. Its also easy to retarget against a slip
Great brake down.
@@domandnick thanks!
That's how you be slipping and dodging everything !

@@bn5fg yep most def. And alot of people arent great at hip rotations and the movement only moves away part of the target
