This has sorted me right out, the fact that the support instructions don't tell you to change the USB setting back to Wave Manager was the issue. Thanks!
Super helpful. Saved me a lot of time. Thanks so much. I didn’t realize that I had to actually download both the driver and wave manager haha. I downloaded the driver and I’m like wtf where is my software.
Hi thanks for the video. I downloaded both wave manager and driver 1.05 on Mac OS version 12.5, but I don’t see any option to update software on my SPD-SX se. I did select wave manager on USB mode in order to get it work on wave manager. Please let me know what steps to follow either on laptop or SPD-SX itself after downloading both softwares for MacBook m1chip. Any assistance is appreciated. Thanks
Sorry just seeing this. Hope you were able to figure it out! You'll need to put the driver update file on a thumb drive and then put that drive into the spd-sx to perform the update: www.sweetwater.com/sweetcare/articles/roland-spd-sx-firmware-update/
I have a question. When I connect my spd sx to the computer, and I open the wave manager. It doesn’t show the SPD SX option. It can’t find the SPD SX storage location. Rather, it shows Macintosh HD
Hey Paul, check the "USB" mode on the Roland SPD itself. I believe this is in the "setup" menu on the SPD. Make sure it is set to "Wave Manager" and not "Audio/Midi"
Hi, is it possible that the wave manager is not compatible with some macOS version ? I have the Sequoia 15.0 version and it does not work... Thank you in advance :)
@@emildrumsantifa yeah that is very possible. macOS updates are known to cause compatibility issues with audio firmware and software. It can take up to a year for the software to become compatible. I am not certain about this specific instance but I would say it's a good chance that the new macOS is not compatible with the wave manager yet

Hello. I can’t download the app. Computer says it can not verify.
Hi! are you on Mac or Windows? And did you make sure to install the driver for the OS you have?
@@calebgrayaudio hello, after numerous attempts I was able to get it working. I must say, it’s not easy to use.
@@MrBrazicano I definitely agree with ya there. Glad you got it working!
