It's hilarious how a lambo is never accepted ... people driving prius's and corolas are trying to tell the Stradman that his car is ugly is just hilarious.
***** I guess I can see that but the Stradman is the only lambo owner I've seen on the internet that isn't a trust fund kid, worked for his car, and isn't too showboaty about it, so I have nothing but respect for him.
Everyone can choose the car that suits them best. A Prius works for some people and a Lamborghini for others. I just like it how this guy is giving us so much information. It's very interesting.
+BayAreaAquatics i'm not so worried about trolls, I drive 911 turbo, and the guy at work said who ever drives a Porsche has a small Dick. (I completely ignored) lol
+Rich Homie Tom Am I the only one who think it looks lame. Keep it relatively stock. Don't know why everybody changes up their Gallardo, you can barely find a decent looking one these days.
I work for State Farm. Another thing that makes it cheap is as an employee I can put into the system how many miles he will drive yearly. Since it is a super car he will drive it a whole lot less. Which makes for less risk. Another reason is that an owner who drives a very expensive car will also be more alert, focused, and aware on the road driving safer then usual.
any updates on the job front, i am interested in what areas are you looking i know your background is bean countng (cpa) any interviews? just want to stay current on you situation??????.......
This dude is cool as hell. No bragging, he's not a dick. Just an authentic car guy. He loves his Lambo, I love my Mustang. To each his own. No hating. Enjoy your car, bro!
the fact you got a Porsche as a rental and you want the car properly maintained is a good enough reason to go to a shop in my opinion. nothing is wrong with having someone else do it also why do the ppl on youtube care its not their money. its high but if you think its worth it more power to you is what i say.
Man people just going to hate bro ... Love the video I'm planning on getting one next year . Keep posting these video love looking at you drive this car .
At State Farm the 3 most important factors that are EQUALLY weighed are 1.) Your credit, 2.) Your previous insurance history and 3.) Your driving record. Those are the three main factors that are customer-specific. Other factors are vehicle type(rating class), discounts for multi-lines, low mileage discounts (very small), gender, and age. All the rest are very small and negligent
One question, how to deal with obnoxious arguesome teenagers who send u offensive replies? My feedback: Well put video, perfectly audible voice, facts were straight and to the point. Many people need to learn this technique while making their info vids.
I watched a bunch of your videos this morning and I love them. It's nice to see someone achieve their goal and be genuinely happy. What is your next goal?
+pourmog when I read this I actually had to focus on the car to see reflections. That's a good camera. Just thought I'd let you know your not the only one who had to look twice.
with out a service history on a lambo only a fool would buy it. A work mate had a lancia delta integrally. The garage that sold him the car said and I quote, make sure you service it every 3000 miles as per , otherwise it will only be worth 75% of a serviced car I you're lucky.
+TheStradman I wanted to say that I love your videos, and I subscribed! The Lamborghini Gallardo is one of my favorite cars of all time, and it's really cool that you have one, keep it up!
What I really can't grasp is how this guy makes a giant fucking deal about being laid off but yet still has his Lamborghini that's a money pit. It's obvious he's receiving outside help somewhere along the line. Sell the lambo and make a smart decision
+William walton What's so stupid about keeping a car that's already paid off? Sure, if he were in a pinch and needed the cash he could sell it, but I'll bet he puts less into that car than someone with a brand new economy sized car with a $20k loan.
I have a 2002 TT roadster. Super cheap to insure! BTW you are smart to let someone else do the service on your Lambo. Also this video is more proof to the future prospective buyer. Enjoy!
I know you were an accountant and it shows. Your ideas about driving and dumping, buying it right... all make sense. Do you just have great luck in finding these deals? Anyway, good information when you analyse stuff like that.. I bet you are totally right... why spend north of 100k for a car without good service records... we should all keep them, even on our honda accords.
he has full coverage on the vehicle. by law he is required to, since he doesn't outright own it, it has a lien holder. the lien holder requires hum to fully insured the vehicle, with collision and comprehensive.
+Jeff Bankston Lmao yea becase you own some crappy cars with engines that are so simple its a joke. You wouldn't even know the first thing to do if you looked a exotic engine.
I never set the valves on a 72 Espada gt400 with 6 down draft Weber.you know an engine is an engine 36 years ASE Master tech or taught 5 years for Ford or 3 for Nissan Would you like my resume sent to you? Fuckin wann be car guy bet your lookin up Espada Its a bulls name the newer bulls are much easyer to work on that 400 gt has to be lefted to get to the exhaust valve you fucking twit
My state farm agent said that the cheaper insurance at 25 was a myth. Mine didn't go down that much. No accidents. No tickets. No claims. I left my agent and went to another SF agent and cut my rate in half.
go kick that other agent in the d1ck is what you should do. When my insurance was as cheap as its ever been I was using a insurance broker and I hit a pedestrian while using car for commercial perpose and they dropped me and said they couldnt insure me no more. I went to another broker and they got me hooked up with the same company but different location and it cost twice as much. They didnt even have to pay anything to the guy I hit (he also tried to file against my companies insurance and he didnt have a walk signal at a dark intersection that never gave a walk signal, always said dont walk.
No hate at all, just an observation, theres only 54,000 videos on UA-cam about "Why I hate my Lambo", "How Much does my Lambo cost to own", "How Much is My Lambo to Insure", "Cost of owning a Lambo", "Maintenance cost of my Lambo", "What I do for a living to own a Lambo", its far from original content.
The guy can call himself whatever he likes as far as I'm concerned, my point was that what happens when the car is gone other than the "Why I don't have my Lambo anymore" video. Why do people go into debt buying a 8+ year old cars that aren't going to appreciate in value over what you've sunk into it.
5% of $100,000 is $5,000 you'd probably save more doing it yourself than paying $1300 dollars in labor every year and if you plan to keep it 4 more years that is $6,500. I thought you were an accountant... oh wait you got laid off.
Exactly. I prefer to buy a Ferrari from someone like Aldous Voice who does his own maintenance as opposed to a Ferrari that is maintained at the dealer. I would actually pay a premium if the individual who did his own maintenance used high quality oils. Just keep all your receipts, keep a work log, and that's about it. Now, you don't have a lift, that's another story.
I've had first hand experience with the nightmare that is the oil filter on the Gallardo. I'd pay to let someone do that as that right there isn't a fun task.
He still lives at home with his parents and the car is in his parents name. Of course it's going to be cheaper. You can keep your own service records and you can video it all.
+ITRIEDEL not true... some people (even lambo owners) have incredible garages with the top of the line tools (lifts, etc) and enjoy turning some wrenches. I have a lambo, I do my own basic maintenance, just because it's fun
+Pgh NSX Do you do it to save money or because it is fun? That's the argument here. People are claiming he should do his own maintenance to save money.
i dont see the purpose of a Lamborghini if u cant go full speed and have to drive 30 miles like everyone else omg i like how he said its hard to get in to do the oil change thats pretty much every car today u drop something in there u aint getting it back
who's really poor? time is money and you follow his life just to laugh at him? come on now, think about it. you follow a guy's life just to be a hater..
I understand his point on maintenance. For my older classic British sports car many buyers do understand that a lot of owners do their maintenance themselves and rather have a car where the owner was on top of the maintenance. I do have a notebook and I keep a records with all receipts and dates when work is done. For his Lambo I understand future buyers would want an experienced mechanic to do the maintenance.
I work for an insurance company. You have liability and COMPREHENSIVE!?!? You are not covered for your Lamborghini damages with your own insurance (if an car accident), regardless of fault. Please tell me you understand your insurance policy.
+Mario Hernandez Yep, He did a great job of explaining why is insurance was so cheap. He even did a pretty good job of conveying a good reason for having a specialty shop do the maintenance. Having and driving a very expensive car without collision insurance is VERY foolish though.
+Mario Hernandez Am I missing something? In my country (Australia), comprehensive cover is exactly that, comprehensive in that it covers your vehicle in most all situations.
I've been watching your videos since the first time you bought your Gallardo. Its also the first lamborghini that I ever loved to use on NFSMW and saw in real life on my street and now my dream car and the one I'm planning to buy is an Aventador. I WILL buy it. I've been dreaming of it since 2016 and it even helped me through high school and my mentality. You changed my life completely as an individual and mentality brother. You're an inspiration to everyone who loves cars and you taught me that it is possible to achieve your dreams no matter the outcome or whatever that gets in the way. Thank you Stradman and Effspot, I won't let you guys down ❤ Soon I will look back (or maybe with you and effspot in person lol) at this message when I get the car and achieve my dream and thank you both and myself for not giving up.
I live in toronto, canada. we have the most expensive auto insurance in the world. Im 26 and drive a Genesis. no tickets amd no accidents. I pay 305$ a month. I know a guy that had recently purchased a mazda 3, hes 19 and a new driver, hes paying 620$ every single month. also one of my freinds got a DUI once, her insurance climbed to 1350$ a month. she tried switching to other insurance companies but they would decline. insurance companies in toronto are big crooks. they're like a mafia.
]every fourth utterance is "MY LAMBORGHINI" what time is it? MY LAMBORGHINI. will it rain today? MY LAMBORGHINI. how is your ill mother doing? MY LAMBORGHINI do you have a life? MY LAMBORGHINI favorite pronouns: ME, MY, and I favorite noun: LAMBORGHINI painful to watch
Like I made a comment today on this video and a kid starts calling me jealous. my comment was - he thinks he is super cool owning a used second hand lambo. lol
Great info, even though you don't have to prove anything to folks. Coolest thing I loved when I moved out of CA was that my insurance dropped like a rock and so did my registrations fees. I would be a bit nervous taking parts of a Lambo off to do an oil change, and records are important for Pasta Rockets.
shit i moved from bay area, ca to texas and my insurance went up. i was paying 100/month full coverage on 02 mitsubishi lancer to 200/month. insurance company said texas minimum liabilty was higher so that's why my insurance went up. 6 months later i bought a second car full coverage and dropped liability with new company so not sure how much cheaper i could have found insurance.
I am amazed you have to explain people why you don't have expensive insurance and why you don't do your own maintenance. This is why some people are poor and some people are not. They can't think for themselves or apply common sense.
Hey dude. Beautiful car. My wife's daily driver is a '08 Shelby Convertible and my friend dailys a '16 ZO6. So much fun to daily epic cars! And I agree, maintenance records are the best.
I work as an Insurance Broker and he explained the price calculation fairly well but he forgot one key point, which is that the Audi is likely his commuter vehicle and the Lamborghini is rated as a pleasure vehicle likely with significantly lower annual use. Commuting vs pleasure use and the total estimated annual use also play a role in the premium. Ultimately though, the biggest part of the premium comes down to where you drive and your own driving record.
+DemonBird2, Insurance history is also another key part too which I forgot to mention. If you've ever been cancelled for non payment or have had any kind of lapse or gap in insurance it will impact your driving record. Having continuous insurance is a major calculation for most insurance companies,
Makes sense man. I've done all the maintenance on my Mustang for the past 8 or so years, but wish I had kept a log of it all at least. I'm getting ready to sell it and whoever buys it will just have to take my word for it that I took good care of it. Definitely something I intend to do with my next vehicle.
I spent 18 hrs custom building snorkles for my rzr when i could have just bought the kit. You might make that $1300 back but you forgot to multiply that several times. Over a few years that adds up to a brand new car lift. You could get a business liscense and start maintaining your friends cars as well, and make videos the whole time!
Wait until you have to move out of your parents house into an apartment or townhouse. The insurance rates will skyrocket because of the risk of damage to the car among other factors. Also, turning 25 won't necessarily decline your monthly cost (even with a perfectly clean record).
Did I understand you correctly and you said you had comprehensive and liability? what about Collision to cover the car itself? Comprehensive covers glass breakage only if I am not mistaken.
Yes it would. Do the math. If he did the maintenance himself, he would loose personal time, which is money, and have to buy the tools and products to do the service, which would be more than the cost of the products that the shop charged him for. He spent $1300 for labor, which is where shops make their money. That 5% covers that $1300. Reality is if he did the maintenance himself, he would loose more money
Good job bro! You explained all the key points but you did forget to mention 1 thing. Your car is 2006, 10 years old so that's also a big factor why insurance is more cheap.,
You make some good points. Records can help sell your car and it might be more difficult to change the fluids in one car over the other. However, if you are capable of doing the proper maintenance and you keep records of it ... like making a youtube video out of it or even just having a log where you write down on paper or have an electronic log that would help sell your car when it comes time. To put myself in the shoes of the buyer, when I buy a car I'd like to see records but in the end the most important factor is the condition of the car not how much you paid or who did the service. I'd also much rather buy a car from someone that knows cars and cared for it well by them self and loved it than someone who doesn't know squat about cars, neglected it and paid someone to do all the work. Like I said you did explain yourself well and I can't argue against what you did if you think the trade off is worth it.
Are you bleeding the clutch. I own a corvette with a manual and also do my own maintenance. Another good trick I do is using an air compressor and blowing out radiator area.
Great video love how honest your are, not sure why someone people hate on you. I sell Insurance for a living by the way, what your saying is 100% correct. I did a test quote for you assuming you lived in Los Angeles, same car with no tickets or accidents and it came out to $340 a month to put things into perspective for everyone. Also you might want to consider raising your deductibles to $1000 to save you so money. Anything under $1000 it would be pointless to put in a claim as your rates would sky rocket anyways. Cheers!
So you're only covered if you hit a deer or something like that and if you hit someone State Farm will only pay for the other car and not your's, and that is why it's so cheap is because it's not full coverage
Insurance rates in Los Angeles are also high because of people being here illegally and not having insurance and because there is so much insurance fraud.
id never let a shop touch my car with maintenance. maybe if I had a lambo and had the money for it I would, but on a normal car, not a chance. Id rather have peace of mind that it was done right than have to trust someone else did it right with all the crazy stories out there. I usually drive my cars into the ground, so selling value doesn't matter to me.
Great video. I totally understand where you are coming from. You know what? I once paid $259 to drive a Lambo for essentially what was less then 20 minutes. Next time you need to service it, you should do a meet-up and charge your subscribers to drive it around, and maybe you could drum up the cash that way LOL. I know I would plop down $100 to drive this thing a couple of miles.
Not to mention liability of doing the maintenance yourself... if you break something while doing the maintenance.. you pay for it. If you are having a reputable shop do it.. they know how to carefully perform the maintenance and if they break something they replace it. Another thing is opportunity cost. How much is someone's time worth? Generally speaking wealthy people don't do their own vehicle maintenance for the sole reason of they could be doing something more productive with their time. I'm not "wealthy" but I do have a bit of money... even though I know how to change my oil I just have the shop do it, it's worth it to me to pay to have it done. Everyone is different but those are a few more reasons.
I had an old Ferrari which I always serviced myself, except the usual 60 overhaul as I can't rip the engine out. I always signed the service book. The guy who bought it was greatfull it was always properly serviced as the books were complete. A lot of owners do a better job.
Do you wash the car after every drive? I know that if you live near the ocean, it is required. The car will look clean until you do the white glove test.
Hold up, you don't have full coverage, IE, collision insurance. In the video you only mention liability and comprehensive. If you don't have collision that's why it's so cheap. Also, there is exotic car insurance you can get that is much cheaper than regular but you can't drive the car to work or the grocery store. Only for pleasure driving.
It's hilarious how a lambo is never accepted ... people driving prius's and corolas are trying to tell the Stradman that his car is ugly is just hilarious.
just because someone drives even smart car they can have a opinion gtfo
Ikr they r just jeloes

Everyone can choose the car that suits them best. A Prius works for some people and a Lamborghini for others. I just like it how this guy is giving us so much information. It's very interesting.
I live close to Park City, and I work in park city. I see you driving around in your Lamborghini all the time!
+Bryan Staley Awesome!! I drive it everywhere...I love Park City! Say hi the next time you see me.
Will do! The only time i've seen you outside was before I knew you made youtube videos. It was at smiths when you had the bear haha
Wait, youre in utah? I've seen you around then
I dont get all the hate, He isnt being douchey about having a lambo. He's just sharing info for us bored enough to watch the vids.
+BayAreaAquatics People love to hate someone who has better things than them.
I agree. And if you don't like the video just watch something else.
+BayAreaAquatics i'm not so worried about trolls, I drive 911 turbo, and the guy at work said who ever drives a Porsche has a small Dick. (I completely ignored) lol

Another informative video, keep them up! I should try doing one with my M4 sometime.
+effspot Haha, definitely man! I'd love to hearing about the running cost. You drive that thing everywhere!
stradman.. please do your Lambo like the guy from vehicle virgins did... crazy transformation

+Rich Homie Tom I agree with you, but he should find another job first
+Rich Homie Tom lol nobody noticed you're just trollin 😂
Don't be haters. He just wants to share what it's like to own a modern Lamborghini. If you don't want to learn what it's like watch other videos.
Why the hell am I even watching video about Lamborghini maintenance and insurance costs...
we need back to naruto

Any luck on the job front???
I second that
Good question
+Trevor Lynn he's not gonna get a job he's gonna be doing UA-cam full time just watch.
He wants to travel more before he starts seriously looking for work. He was laid off so he probably will get unemployment for a bit of time.
" Once someone turns 25, in general on average. They are going to be a more responsible drive "..........yea, go tell that to my kid.

who's really poor? time is money and you follow his life just to laugh at him? come on now, think about it. you follow a guy's life just to be a hater..
HAAA!!! Look at him now loser!
the part where you speak on service records is very smart! a lot of people don't think about that.
How's your job searching bro? Hopefully it's all going well? If not, then good luck!
I work for an insurance company. You have liability and COMPREHENSIVE!?!? You are not covered for your Lamborghini damages with your own insurance (if an car accident), regardless of fault. Please tell me you understand your insurance policy.
+Mario Hernandez Yup, if you drive and hit anything with the exception of a deer you are not covered. Underinsured motorist rider is also advised.
Agreed
I'm sure he has collision coverage.
+Jus Like thats crazy, I'm in the US and pay 3400 a year total to insure a cadillac escalade and BMW 335i coupe
+S DB thats how it should be everywhere. I dont know why shit is crazy expensive over here
+Jus Like That I got lucky with 142 a month/1688year for a 2011 ninja 250R 23 years old
]every fourth utterance is "MY LAMBORGHINI"
what time is it? MY LAMBORGHINI. will it rain today? MY LAMBORGHINI. how is your ill mother doing? MY LAMBORGHINI
do you have a life? MY LAMBORGHINI
favorite pronouns: ME, MY, and I
favorite noun: LAMBORGHINI
painful to watch
Like I made a comment today on this video and a kid starts calling me jealous. my comment was - he thinks he is super cool owning a used second hand lambo. lol
he only cares about himself and the lambo?
George Lewis STFU you dumb bitch don't ask stupid questions
the other part is that most people with a Lamborghini only drive a few 1000 miles a year.
6 months later i bought a second car full coverage and dropped liability with new company so not sure how much cheaper i could have found insurance.
is he homeless yet?
probably is already
+lol wut I dont think 100k subs and 45k views is near the point of youtube-financial success you think it is.
+lol wut You're a kid. It doesn't work that way. Or everybody'd be doing that
+lol wut You're a kid. It doesn't work that way. Or everybody'd be doing that
Assholes look at him now
This guys talks like he's gasping for air.
I am amazed you have to explain people why you don't have expensive insurance and why you don't do your own maintenance. This is why some people are poor and some people are not. They can't think for themselves or apply common sense.
When I turned 25 my insurance rate went up despite nothing changing. Nice job Allstate.
/r/punchablefaces
im glad you talked about the insuramce rates but I guess it makes sense considering where you live. hows the job hunt coming.
+dilliot2k yeah depends on a state, if married or not as well.
Great explanation of the costs Stradman. I look forward to your next video. Almost 100k subs! Good luck.
Sitting at over 3M now. Crazy
Hey dude. Beautiful car. My wife's daily driver is a '08 Shelby Convertible and my friend dailys a '16 ZO6. So much fun to daily epic cars! And I agree, maintenance records are the best.
Audio is on point, i see you stepped up your whole production level. Nice work.
God damn! That colour is one of the best colours I have ever seen on a Lamborghini! Great channel mr Stradman!
I'm paying about $600 a month for my two vehicles my daily driver 05 Jaguar S-Type and my rarely driven 07 Maserati Quattroporte.
Having continuous insurance is a major calculation for most insurance companies,
I just purchased a 2011 R8 V10 Spyder. My insurance is only $82/month for full coverage as a second vehicle.
also thanks, your explanation helped me realize the long term value in maintaining proper service records. cheers from Canada!
Bro you should totally wrap the whole top in a gloss black. It would look incredible!
You're starting to blow up and get more subs. Congrats man!! Posting more is working for you!
Every single shot of every single video is of your Lambo. We get it dude, you own a Lambo.
That is crazy. I had a 2008 pontiac g6 I was paying $300 a month. Car looks nice in the video man thanks for the tips.
5% isn't going to be less than the one 7500 mile service at $2,700
Yes it would.
People don't need to know your personal business. Also, forget the haters. Enjoy your ride and live on.
don't be haters on this guy.. he's doing a good job...
I would think a "Stradman" Lambo would be worth more than your average Lambo anyway 😊
Good job bro! You explained all the key points but you did forget to mention 1 thing. Your car is 2006, 10 years old so that's also a big factor why insurance is more cheap.,
I have a 2004 Lamborghini Murcielago and pay $1,100 per year, full coverage with $1,000 deductible in St. Louis, Missouri with State Farm as well.
Nearly every guy I knew that had a great car, only to sell it years later ended up regretting it.
Are you bleeding the clutch. I own a corvette with a manual and also do my own maintenance. Another good trick I do is using an air compressor and blowing out radiator area.
Valid points about the service records, even if you had a lift and replaced everything to oem spec.
Cheers!
Not bad, not bad, little fella, one of the best video that explain a subject matter.
If he doesn't believe, you did a good job servicing your car, you just get it inspected before you sell it.
you'd easily pay that annual premium in a month in NJ.... and that's for high end cars cheaper than your Lambo
+Interceptor810 Luxury excise tax in Massachusetts.
So you're only covered if you hit a deer or something like that and if you hit someone State Farm will only pay for the other car and not your's, and that is why it's so cheap is because it's not full coverage
that's $1784.04 a year. monthly insurance is more expensive, but if you pay for a 6 month policy you save money over a year.
Insurance rates in Los Angeles are also high because of people being here illegally and not having insurance and because there is so much insurance fraud.
FYI to The Stradman, The Lamborghini You are Driving Has 7 Drain Plugs not 2
id never let a shop touch my car with maintenance. maybe if I had a lambo and had the money for it I would, but on a normal car, not a chance.
Everyone is different but those are a few more reasons.
my insurance didn't change when I turned 25 and my record is spotless.
Did the oil change cost you $1,300 or was there additional maintenance work done?
Hold up, you don't have full coverage, IE, collision insurance. In the video you only mention liability and comprehensive. If you don't have collision that's why it's so cheap. Also, there is exotic car insurance you can get that is much cheaper than regular but you can't drive the car to work or the grocery store. Only for pleasure driving.
