4:30 One cool thing to note about the ReelYaks stuff is that you can buy a prop drive (with reverse) on the website that drops right into the pedal well. Usually, you have to pick one or the other when you buy your yak. I think ReelYaks does the best in terms of modularity. I will be buying the center extension that turns the Raider into a tandem kayak.
I live in that apartment complex and I've been going fishing from the apartment side and I have had zero luck and seeing this video maybe I gotta walk around a bit to get closer to the island lol if you come again would be nice to fish together 🎣
Oh nice man, yeah , they can be tricky sometimes. I bet you can catch a ton in the spring time over there. I’ll let you know when I come fish over there again 🤙🏽
Just to let you know the comment you said that made me sub was "they will be calling me in a week" in regard to reel yak sponsorship. I was dying laughing. GL to you lil homie.
Hi Thanks for the great video re: this new 2 piece kayak. If you dont me asking. how are the connector folding clips holding up? (the one in the middle each side). From your video @ 22:40 point the metal clip appears to be a little rusted discolored.. You mentioned only using 3 times so far and the clip already discolored? Thanks!
I think my folding clips are still doing well. I haven’t really noticed any discoloration but I could see them wearing out in the future. It’s already not feeling as crisp as the first time I locked the kayak together
Nice vid man! I was looking at getting the same one but the 3 pc option that you can rock with one or two people. What are your thoughts on the 3 pc fin pedal kayak based off the one you have? Stability would be my biggest concern
I could honestly see a 3 piece being pretty stable. I’m sure one person could lean pretty far without the yak tipping. My 2 piece is pretty stable as long as you don’t stand up in it
I just got this kayak today…I have 2 questions. How do I get the rudder to lock in the down position? It just springs back up after I pull the red ball. And What is the little screw that came with the Allen key for? It’s a tiny screw with no head on it..just a cylinder shape
Hmmm, I’m not sure about the screw but to lock in place the rudder all you have to do is pull the string out and up into the slot right above the string. It took me a minute to figure out as well
Do the 2 sections stay secure or do they move around when the water gets choppy? And do you think the locking mechanism would break if you run against a log or aground?
Camping on the island 🔜👀

Really?? I might have to buy a prop drive then. Appreciate the advice man!
@Fishing_With_Calvin rock on man. Check out the accessories on their website. There is some cool stuff on there.
@@Fishing_With_Calvin Rock on Brother. Check out their websites. the accessories are pretty sick.

Nice yak....how does it handle out on the ocean or bay?
@@neilbautista1293 I’ve never thought of being that crazy with it, but it might be a good idea to try it out 🫣
Great catch and go camping I’ll be fun
Stealth camping 🔜 👀

i remember busting my ass sneaking into that lake with you 😂😂
I remember that too, thought you died 🤣🤣
i fished in there long time ago..great lake
Definitely man, it’s an awesome spot!

Agree nice vid. I was curious the same, also how do you find the two pc, do you feel the joint is strong
I could honestly see a 3 piece being pretty stable. I’m sure one person could lean pretty far without the yak tipping. My 2 piece is pretty stable as long as you don’t stand up in it
Yep, the joint is pretty strong. I can tell it’s not as strong as it was when I first got it but I don’t see it giving out anytime soon
@@Fishing_With_Calvin thanks
@lifayan no problem!
w vid, what’s the lake called?
I wonder if I can fit this in my 2024 Acura Integra
You won’t know if you don’t try 🤷♂️😂
I don’t know if you’d want to haul a wet yak in that ride tho 😂

How is standing on that yak been looking at it but not sure about its stability or how much weight it can hold?
@@saltylue33 it’s pretty unstable man
Lmk next time I’ll take my yak too 😎
Shi, bet bro! I didn’t know you had a yak

@@bassdojo1788 nope, they don’t move apart an inch. And I doubt it but over a long period of time, I could see the locking system breaking
Can you stand up on that kayak and fish without tipping or is it not that stable?
It’s not that stable lol
How about if you mounted pontoons on it ?
You could but it would probably take away from the versatility of it
STEALTH camping in Wichita. Brave man. Love the Wichita fishing videos.
Yessir, you gotta do stuff that scares you sometimes in order to grow 🏕️ 💪🏽
W vid
Ong
you should make a how to use a bait caster tutorial
I would bro, but that kind of video is super saturated on YT. All the big UA-camrs that made those kind of videos will get all the views
