I grew up there in the 70s 80s and 90's. I moved away and it just kept going downhill so fast. It's a shame. It used to be a bustling town with a solid community. I've not walked the town for years, there are hardly any shops there now and they look rundown. So thank you for this! Saved me a depressing trip 😉
I live near town and over the years it’s declined so bad I avoid the place like the plague, so depressing seeing my town like this , I remember on Saturdays you couldn’t move in the Main Street aka Woolworths street ,,, such a shame
What happened to Bridgend? I’ve never seen so many dead shops in a town centre / pedestrian zone. Was this the same before lockdown? Nice walk, but I noticed a weird tendency to pull to the left like there’s a magnet somewhere 😁
Been like it for years and keeps getting worse year on year. It's got a lot of good food and drink places though for the night, much better than it ever used to be, but that's all it has.
Hi nice video I've been to Bridgend several times, but can you focus a little bit more on the hotels or pubs at least look up at the building or name.. Its good to remind yourself or for vistors where the hotels are and for memories.. Love saying.. Been there or had a good time there.. Thank you..

Yes, every Sat there was a live band playing in the street in Woolworths street, I remember it well. Such a different vibe to today.
