I love how Lae'zel's romance is the complete inverse of the typical video game romance. The usual video game romance starts emotional and culminates with sex. With Lae'zel, you start out with a sex scene and only get emotionally intimate once you've committed. It's expertly done.
It really is beautiful. I just got this scene and it got me in tears. I was kind of sceptical about this romance choice for a while but now it's absolutely ride or die with her.
If you think about it, even before, when she'd just talk about death and glory, she still did it in a very dramatic way. She was always like this, just not for anything but fighting, until she finds what loving is
This kind of thing has never happened to me before playing a video game, but I quite literally had to fight back a tear or two when she asked. That face, that vulnerability here near end of such a long arc with so much growth... It was just so incredibly (and unexpectedly) touching!

One thing that gets me is her facial expressions. Note how she looks at Vlaakith in the monastery, with wide hopeful puppydog eyes. By the end, those eyes are only reserved for you. Not Vlaakith, not even Orpheus, only her love

Lae'zel just hits that "You showed me more than what I knew" harder than either of those by just a bit more to me. I really might just be partial to the warrior mentality because I've always loved the ideas of honor and battle, but what I love more is making a blind warrior a knowledgeable individual not just a cog in the machine of war. Having more than just "Fight" in their mind, it just hits different.
She is very abrasive initially but I knew then that she was going to have the strongest character arc I’m used to dealing with cold bitchy characters and they always end up being my favorite.
For me this was one of the most memorable scenes from the whole game. It was so surprising and I loved how she had the feeling of over but didn’t know the words to express it.
Low key was best thing I ever did was romance her. I was just rolling with it. She turned out to be the best long form romance in the game. Everyone else is 1 note, or (no spoilers)a waste of time in the long run. Not my green-girl, she is a ride or die kind of bitch. Grows as a person and a partner and she grew right alongside my character. We went from desperate violent asses who'd do anything to survive, to anti-heros and then good guys. What a journey Lae'Lae, what a journey indeed.

I immediately took to Lae'Zel when first encountering her. I like challenging women in real life, so to see one in the game was surprising. Extremely well written dialogue and the voice actress, Devora Wilde is exceptional with her line delivery.

Lae'Zel's growth through her story arc and romance felt like the most complex, the most challenging, and had the greatest emotional payoff for me. She evolved from a prickly, judgemental, spiteful killing machine into a genuine, hopeful person who found something greater and more meaningful than battle and glory -- both in her personal feelings for the player, and the cause of her people. And our end was... well, sad; Tragic, even. ... within the context of the choices I made, anyway. :) Which is what makes this game sooooo freakin' great!
In my playthrough she cut her bond to me, but considered me a trusted ally for the rest of the game, right until the end when she fulfilled her vow to her Queen and rode off to her home plane on a red dragon. What a badass she is.
I failed that check. To me as a player it was clear that the "heretic" texts were actually the truth and that Vlaakith is an ursurper, but if I can't convice Lae'zel then I can't convince her.@@OathDubs

From the beginning I loved how sharp she was. She was the first to proposition me and I felt kinda sad for turning her down (wizard Tav, had to go with my boy Gale lol). But as the game went on, I started using Karlach more, so I didn’t get to check in with her as much… cut to act 3 and she started greeting me with “is something bothering you” instead of “speak” and I knew I’d been missing something, but it was too late. I watched her smile and soar away… My girl!!! Guess I need to start another playthrough 😅
It’s better to make her your tank over karlach except for certain instances (like killing gortash) laezel has way more content and her route is very dependent on your choices with her compared to karlach

This scene is epic level writing and character development. Lae'zal is my GF in my own playthrough and the journey she is on is beyond words. As others have said most romances start with being friends and move towards sex, she is the reverse and the effect is beyond amazing. Before this my fav NPC to romance was Jack from Mass Effect 2 but Lae'zal blows this out of the water I hope the romance in my next PT will have the same depth and development

Lae,zel is a character at first is rude, abrasive and arrogant. Bad social skills. Once you know her a little she has redeeming qualities. Reliable in combat. Lae, zel is the nicest githyanki you meet.

well she doesn't like pda. The first time you ask to kiss her after you actually get into a relationship with her you have to roll a persuasion check to get her to do it, and even then she looks around awkwardly to see if anybody is watching before she does it. It does kinda suck though, but Larian might actually change the animation for it in the future since they just changed Karlach's kiss in patch 4.

I disliked laezel.. but now.. i trust her
Was more like a peck than a kiss....
well she doesn't like pda. The first time you ask to kiss her after you actually get into a relationship with her you have to roll a persuasion check to get her to do it, and even then she looks around awkwardly to see if anybody is watching before she does it. It does kinda suck though, but Larian might actually change the animation for it in the future since they just changed Karlach's kiss in patch 4.
