Given that she'll answer that you can keep calling her Princess after the "battle" against the Shifting Mound when you ask her real name, that tombstone is a cheeky bit for sure.
The way you showed the approach of the Shifting Mound to claim its vessel just like in the game is brilliant! I love your anamatics, they feel like an enhanced version of the actual game!
@@judesliggoo as you can see, i didnt say "oh my god the game is trash, this should have been it instead" i just said that "i feel like i enjoy this more" which does look like a preference but its because my favorite characters from my favorite game are moving, and not just that, most of them even get a character design to appear here, making me enjoy watching them interact with each other and the princess the reason im here and i watch every stp animation of this channel is because i loved the game and its characters and obviously, i have enjoyed it so much meaning i would sit and watch them again if it becomes an animation because it would make me want to see how they would look or act in these situations, making me enjoy the game and story that i have already had fun with, even more btw, this channels character designs are just chefs kiss! also, without the people who made this game and story, there wouldnt have even been any videos about it here and i wouldnt have found this adorable channel its just as if you enjoy a show/anime more than its related comic/manga but i would apologize to any developer of the actual game if they ever found this comment of mine and got offended by it because i didnt mean to offend anyone...
I remember doing this scene for the first time, and the narrator honestly has a point. Why would I take a severed head with me? Why would I need some lady's severed head on my mantleplace? Why in the world would I advertise this, shaking her around to everyone I meet like the world's most morbid Yoyo. Why did the Princess EXPECT me to take her head with me? When I got the Drowned Grey ending, I was very confused.
i think depending on any certain minute choices, it telagraphs it different and the dialigue slightly changes to account for the greater "understanding" of her intent. or maybe thats just not a thing and its just the ominous phrasing and communication she uses right before she gets chopped off-you couldve overlooked it
I think it depends on the previous routes you did as well. I did the Adversary and the Damsel before the prisonner, so I understood that she wouldn't die, and that leaving the cabin was her goal. So in my mind, what she wanted was 100% clear.
You could tell what she wanted by the few hints she and the Skeptic gave. But as it is, yes, I and even the developers agree that it does not make sense to immediately understand what she wants and get punished in the form of Drowned Grey for not understanding something in her hints, which is why the developers will completely change this in the update of Pristine Cut by adding a new more logical route if you did not take her head outside.

If you charge her or try to sit closer then drop the knife while she strangles you, ala Markiplier, she'll take the knife after releasing you and begin cutting. Because she didn't get to "explain" her plan, the whole reason for her doing so would be lost to most people.

Love your take on the skeptic and hero's body language. Also the Narrator being a normal-sized raven with little pince-nez glasses is a cute design choice. Hahah

This was an interesting route-one of my favorites, too. The main line of that route is 'Trust'. The Voice of the Skeptic does not trust the Narrator, and the Hero has to trust the Princess' plan to get the best possible outcome.
More specifically it's blind trust, as opposed to Thorn which was more about broken trust that needed fixing. Also Skeptic might not trust the narrator but he's also wary of the princess - she might use the blade against the hero if he gives it to her, but she also might not. Though she does has every reason not to trust him either. Alternatively the hero can let curiosity get the better of him and inadvertently create his own way out for both of them, or he can choose not to trust her at all and face the consequences, depending on what happened.
TBF even if we forget the fact, she's still fully alive, even a normal humans brain would still be alive at this point, as it seems you leave within the 6 minute mark of her death.
the only thing I am sad about is that we cannot -lay the princess- spend a little bit of extra time with the prisoner after taking her up, and letting her enjoy the world. as an individual, rather than a piece of infinite minds
