My favourite Nadal vs Kyrgios matches to watch are Acapulco 2019 and Indian Wells 2022. They both have epic and classic matches especially with the Acapulco 2019 match. It was intense, full of drama and entertainment.

Such a shame Nadal had to retire. But I can't wait to see Kyrgios playing a Grand Slam final. He's playing the best tennis of his career.

Also you rarely see Nadal as pumped up as he is against Kyrgios. Nadals celebrations on the court in Acapulco and Wimbledon 2019 were extraordinary.

since it is very difficult to break his serve , Nadal found a way to win tie breaks by surprising Nick with return and play and Nick always loses points on his serve in tie breaks but Nadal doesn't.

I remember that match well. Nadal was so close to winning it many times but Kyrgios fought really hard and always found a way to win crucial points.

Nadal is not my most favorite Tennis Player but he is a great champion and a legend of the game. I am sure he would have fought if he could. Abdominal tears are extremely painful and very dangerous. He somehow finished the last match (he hates quitting) but he couldn't continue any longer. I feel bad for him but he always had his issues with injuries and age is catching up. I honestly think that Nadal will retire before Federer officially because of his injury prone body.

I said that if he could play and even win it (cuz it's Nadal, you never know) his body would surely not keep up and let him play the Final... this is so sad, all we can do his wish that he can come back on court as early as possible, having hopefully fully recovered :/
This is back when everyone looked on Kyrgios like people look on Alcaraz and Sinner now. Except he's never reached his full potential. He cares more about the money and the fame than the actual game, what a shame.

Without being a tennis expert, I just noticed that Kyrgios record against Nadal, 3-6, is pretty good as compared to that of other young players, e.g. Medvedev 1-5, Zverev 3-7, Tsitsipas 2-7. From older guys Murray is 7-17... So besides the superstars Djokovic and Federer, Kyrgios has a respectable 3-6 record against one of the greatest ever, if not the goat, in Nadal. This is quite impressive and indicative of his talent and what he can achieve when focused and interested, given the amount of disrespect he has, as compared to the above younger guys that have worst record than him against Nadal. So one thing is for sure: noone can disregard Kyrgios talent and potential. I mean if you have a 3-6 against Nadal, you should be really happy with yourself...

@@invisibleuser8491 If you weren't invisible you'd realize that Nick's court movement and positioning have been excellent and many of Rafa's returns will be anemic, both off service and in rallies, especially with the injury that worshipers see as inconsequential. Rafa's prone to making more errors these years. His medical people face a serious decision here.

Im gonna be for real, I am not a fan of Kyrgios. He is a good player no doubt, but not only does he sometimes play foolishly but he starts fights with the littlest of things. That's not tennis etiquette, again hes a good player but he says some bad things and reacts badly to lots of things in tennis and it's just plain stupid. Like with tsitsipas vs kyrgios, they were both in the wrong but people said Tsitsipas was more in the wrong than Kyrgios and thats simply just not true, they both were wrong and equally wrong. People need to actually understand Kyrgios is a great player with a not as great attitude. Hate me all you want but I can assure you it wouldn't change my mind.
