- In this video, I'm going to share with you my tips and trips in Sky: COTL!
I've been playing Sky: COTL for 3 years now and I've learned a lot of tips and tricks along the way. I want to share these tips with you so that you can have a better playing experience. So let's get started, and share with me what you've learnt in the meantime!

I've been playing the game for almost 4 years now and recently decided to befriend a moth and teach them some tricks. I felt old but proud, so I'm glad that others are also sharing their wisdom :)

I started playing 24 hrs ago and I've become friends with a 4 year veteran and they taught me so much.... apparently picking up Crabs and putting them in a pile was not the right choice lmao

I started playing about 2 weeks ago. A couple players friended me early on and I have really enjoyed the game with them. They help me complete dailies, wings, and candle runs. Sky has been a great experience.
Flying straight up, (must be straight up only), holding hands with a friend who clicks you on their screen to offer a friendship (white)candle at the same time... you can reach high points or recharge cape like this, because white candle gives you infinite light power.
(Useful, If you haven't unlocked piggyback with friend, or when you can't piggyback someone and do chibi fall at the same time but you need cape power).
I discovered it too late just before TGC fixed the OOB trial shortcuts and it was really difficult to find the exact point to glitch into the end of the trial before losing Cape power
Tips for those who can't press the fast travel button to chibi fall (although it doesn't seem necessary). You can hold down the move button while letting one of your skykid's feet press deep into the ground and then release the hand holding your skykid, your character will fall into the ground easily (for those PC version players or have weak or laggy )
surprised the krill trick still works. i've been playing since home trick was still a thing and mourned when tgc patched it haha

I love the krill, they can be really pain sometimes when collecting spirits, also the fly upward spiral that help too, thanks

About flying up, it’s better to just do vertical flying trick instead😅 it’s not hard to get the trick done if you keep practicing, and it’s faster than flying up that way
Yeah it's better, but I've only ever been able to replicate a few times very inconsistently so I prefer just spiralling 🫠

Does the free krills trick still work? I've tried several tricks from other people but it turns out it can't be used anymore after the update. I lost some of my wings😂
I also want to point out the 'Leg in the ground' hiding spot also works as a deterrent against Krills but you have to keep pulling your leg until their light moved away.
_Unless that one has been patched_
I think I've done that once or twice before yeah, guess the krills aren't very good at hide and seek

I rejoined sky for who knows how long and now i know stupid glitches that are gonna make me laugh my lungs out and i love it

I've actually been doing this by spin flying for fun and I've noticed that it does give more height
the glitch in Vault from the third floor to the fourth uses up about 8 wedges worth of flying power if you fly up straight
but I make it in 7 by spiraling upwards whilst spinning aggressively >:)

They do, yes. Sometimes they like to leave in thing to keep the community happy (because they'd get tons of complaints if they did remove it-)
I preordered the game on iPhone when it came out, but I just assumed it wasn’t doing live updates lol. I usually play games that don’t live update, soooo 😅 I picked it up again around season of enchantments when I realized it was still updating, took a break, played lil prince and finally was able to afford season passes with season of assembly 💀 I’m sure there are lots of secret lazy vets like me out there 🤔 but since you can only tell with season pass, it’s kinda a moot point
I use the krill trick all the time it works every time :)
Can you explain for dummies pls? What's meant by "freezing the game"? '^'
@@iribiss4155By "freezing the game" they mean minimizing the app. Slide out of it, if you see all your open apps' screens together in one row, you did it correctly. Now just wait until you see the krill's eye (red light) stops flashing and press on the app. Hope this helps ^^
Guys, can someone tell me? Is that bug with the freezing of the game and the krill attack still working? can any emotions stop him, like returning home?

Yes, but you can’t see the game when you're on the home screen, just wait 15-20 second and you should be fine

Is there a difference between collecting candles early and not, or is it just placebo?
@@sonofsueraf The more wax you collect a day the less a single piece of wax counts for (idk if that's what you're asking but hope this helps)
@splatube I mean if the game tells you to make a new candle but you don't.

@@luvboi I've never tested it on android, but it should work if you open up the app switcher of all your open apps, then wait until the krill's light turns off
@@splatube i waited for like forever lol 😂 😂 but the lights didn't turn off lol.
I use Android tablet and phone but I'm not at all confident to try the freeze trick with kril... even though the shrine maps help you to relocate light a little easier...its still a pain.
I'm not sure my current OS has an app switch that you can activate easily without the game closing (especially on my tablet)

Personally I disagree with the first one, I specifically make sure to collect my candles as fast as possible to make sure I can keep track of them easier,
I tried saving it up and i really didn't like it .

Tgc patched chibi fall.... Or at least made it almost impossible
as a OG player i always dodge krill attack and it has 99% winrate.
I've been trying to learn chibi fall buy when it won't let me walk forward after doing the first step, I'm crouched and all but won't work :(
What device are you on?
pretty sure it only works on android and iOS, tho I could be very wrong
@@LazyUggugg On console you crouch, push the left stick forward and then stop crouching. It's a bit tricky but works all the same.

The chibifall even easier to do on console in compare to mobile. Just a combine of button in 0.5s and you are in the ground

Yes if you just press home button and wait it’ll work

Oh my god.... The chibi fall... is it just a mobile thing? I'm on the playstation and I've tried a million times and I just can't fall through. When you say "crouch" is that an active button you have to press? I've never crouched in any stance.... i don't get it😭 And I don't think you can pause the game on the PS either 😭
Pausing should work by just going to the Home Screen, and crouching is just pressing the right shoulder button i think
@@splatube No... R1 toggles flight modes. R2 activates an item like the fireworks staff, but does nothing if nothing is held/active. L1 shows currency, and L2 shows controller map. 😭
How do you crouch
On mobile, tap and hold on your sky kid then slide your finger away from it, on console press right trigger and move the left stick

Should do, just open the app switcher (the hamburger menu button on most android devices) and then click back once the light goes away

If you press the home button I believe it has the same effect, but make sure you get the timing right

On phone, hold the play as if you're gonna deep honk and then drag your finger, on controller press the right bumper (R on switch, R1 on PlayStation), and on pc i *think* you hold shift

I PLAY THIS GAME FOR 2 YEARS AND DONT KNOW SHEET ANYONE IS SAYING ABOIT VETERANS, MOTHS, ECT.
Moths are new players, veterans are people who have been playing for a while, and for any others you can check my video about it (made it a while ago but it explains stuff none the less)

@@Beaural oooh im not sure. It was working well. Although you can't see the red flashes if you count to 20 slowly then go back in. It works.. now i just fly high sbove n they dont see me anymore lol

Subs r too fast. Luckily I can slow the vid but it's still annoying to have to do it. I think you'd be better served by speaking as long as you aren't too self conscious ab your voice. Just pls don't start using those cringe AI voices. Also when you say stuff like "cr" or "wl" I have absolutely no idea what that means.
I'm not that self-conscious about my voice but I'd rather keep it more private (though I'm sure you could find it if you looked) and I'm not gonna use those god forsaken ai voices. I'll make sure to slow down the subtitles in further. And wl means winged light (the glowing children you collect to fly) and cr means candle run (getting all/most of the wax in a realm at once to get lots of candles fast)
