So, these illegal parkers paid the tow fees but what about APOLOGIZING to the pizzeria owner who had to take time out of his day to try to investigate who the vehicles belonged to and had his business blocked (including the front door!) for 12 hours?
Honestly, you need to tell these people you've been closed for hours or just make them wait till the next day. They assume because you answer you work 24/7. You are far nicer than most.

When I go somewhere, I'm always worried I will get towed if I don't move my car to the next place's parking. I won't leave my car at the same spot for 12 hours if it didn't make sense for me to be there for 12 hours...
Two things I have learned about Gatlinburg Tennesse from this fantastic UA-cam channel. 1) Pay to park, and 2) Don't drive a big vehicle up (or down) a narrow winding road. You two are awesome!!

Its not illegal tows, the owner of the business has spaces for his customers. If I pulled into your driveway, you would want to tow me. I read the law in Tenn. and it talks about illegal parking.
I parked in New Orleans and went on to enjoy the boardwalk and French quarter. After several hours, I went back to my car to find it just where I left it because I paid to park.
We went to New Orleans this Summer. I didn't mind paying to park. I was just praying that my truck wasn't broken into while I was gone. Saw several that had smashed windows.

Off with a bang! I will NEVER take a chance at parking without paying. I have chanced it in the past but after seeing what the consequences are there I’m not chancing it here in Canada. But not only do I see the monetary hit but also see how much of an inconvenience it is to the many others business owners or people who paid to park and how much work the tow truck drivers have to do to get it safely out.
Three vehicles...parked at the pizzria at 12 noon...towed at 2 pm...owners didn't call until 11 pm. Wow! $300 per car. $900 total. And just think...the cost to park in a garage is $20 all day. Definitely, pay to park is the smarter and cheaper option.

When we come down we always stay at Oak Square we stay parked and walk everywhere unless we go to pigeon forge or out of Gburg and we have been coming down twice ayear for 10 yrs. When I'd go on my morning walks in Gburg you'd really be surprised of some of the crazy stuff I've witnessed it's ridiculous nobody has any respect for anyones property.🇺🇸👍

Ppl taken the parking one to court to justifying there prices an the judge said £100 is fair but must offer half price paid before a certen time . I think the ppl there need to do the same make them justify there prices . Then sue them for there money back .

If someone has not noticed that there three cars were gone until almost 12 hours later then expect you to be open at almost midnight they must be on some special medication. Maybe even add an after hours fee of like $50 to meet them, but tell them it is the lower fee when normal people do business. Wow, that's some crazy parking! By the way, the RAV4 was not AWD...It would say AWD on the back under the XLE badge. The parking brake was set. By default, they set the parking brake automatically when they are put in Park...strange. If you're not paying to park, you're doing it wrong!
Maybe it's me but ive never been comfortable with leaving my vehicles in areas Im unfamiliar with. Nor do I park and leave it at a business either. . I always thought it was common knowledge that a business's lot were private property and you can't park there unless you were shopping at that business. No signs needed. Another great video!! The cabin that we stud at when we were up there was saying it would be able to have three vehicles there and it slept 9 people but when we got up there it barely could fit two vehicles so we found a spot for our third car. We called the cabin rental and explained the situation and asked if they new the cabin besides us owner or rental because there was a spot where we could park if they wasn’t going to use it and we would be willing to pay to park there. They said it’s fine and we gave them a number just in case something came up it did one time but we moved it so the propane tank could be filled the reason why we new we also left the number on the window just in case the propane company came there and the only time the car was there is when we where up there so we could move it if needed.
We are in the area fairly often and have been for about 20 years. In that time the area has gotten incredibly to where it's packed 24/7. Paying to park is way cheaper than paying a tow fee. One thing that would help the traffic and parking volume there would be for folks gathering in the area for a get together to car pool for the trip. There is zero need for one car per person there. Sharing rides or using the trolley there might be the easier, better, and cheaper thing to do when visiting the area there. I look for y'all every time I'm up there but havent spotted you- yet, lol.
I completely agree with you! This whole area from Sevierville down through Pigeon Forge and Gatlingburg are getting more busy at any time of the year! I would never even think of parking in a lot of a business I’m not going to, whether there was a sign or not! It’s just plain rude!!!

I live in Gatlinburg, the cabin to the left of me and the cabin to the right are rentals! it is shocking, how many people show up especially in the dark with 3 or more vehicles to these cabins. Both rental cabins can fit two sedan cars. They might fit one full size truck. Some of these people will show up again lot of times after dark with two big Ford F150’s with big tires and I’m trying to sleep and I can hear them trying to fit their trucks in these little parking spaces! LOL! both cabins have great google views of what the parking spaces look like and how big. 🤷♂️
I never understand the people that you deal with. Their excuse is always that there wasn't a sign or they didn't see a sign. Who in their right mind thinks that it's okay to just park any where they want and just leave it there for hours and not expect it to be towed. I feel bad for the poor guy, he obviously felt bad about having to have them towed but had no choice because he had such a small parking lot. If they can afford to rent a cabin then they can afford to pay to park.

Wow, that's some crazy parking! By the way, the RAV4 was not AWD...It would say AWD on the back under the XLE badge. The parking brake was set. By default, they set the parking brake automatically when they are put in Park...strange. If you're not paying to park, you're doing it wrong!

Maybe it's me but ive never been comfortable with leaving my vehicles in areas Im unfamiliar with. Nor do I park and leave it at a business either. .
I always thought it was common knowledge that
a business's lot were private property and you can't park there unless you
were shopping at that business. No signs needed.

The cabin that we stud at when we were up there was saying it would be able to have three vehicles there and it slept 9 people but when we got up there it barely could fit two vehicles so we found a spot for our third car. We called the cabin rental and explained the situation and asked if they new the cabin besides us owner or rental because there was a spot where we could park if they wasn’t going to use it and we would be willing to pay to park there. They said it’s fine and we gave them a number just in case something came up it did one time but we moved it so the propane tank could be filled the reason why we new we also left the number on the window just in case the propane company came there and the only time the car was there is when we where up there so we could move it if needed.
They paid dearly for that parking lol. Unreal again Jeff. 👍👍🇺🇸🇺🇸
We are in the area fairly often and have been for about 20 years. In that time the area has gotten incredibly to where it's packed 24/7. Paying to park is way cheaper than paying a tow fee. One thing that would help the traffic and parking volume there would be for folks gathering in the area for a get together to car pool for the trip. There is zero need for one car per person there. Sharing rides or using the trolley there might be the easier, better, and cheaper thing to do when visiting the area there.
I look for y'all every time I'm up there but havent spotted you- yet, lol.
I completely agree with you! This whole area from Sevierville down through Pigeon Forge and Gatlingburg are getting more busy at any time of the year! I would never even think of parking in a lot of a business I’m not going to, whether there was a sign or not! It’s just plain rude!!!

People should check what impound towing cost. If you Google average cost is $272 for illegal parking tows.
The entitlement of some people simply amazes me. Why would you think it was all right to take up a parking spot at a business that you were not a patron of, let alone THREE parking spots, and at a small business with few places to park? And then they even blocked his entrance! Jackasses.

I live in Gatlinburg, the cabin to the left of me and the cabin to the right are rentals! it is shocking, how many people show up especially in the dark with 3 or more vehicles to these cabins. Both rental cabins can fit two sedan cars. They might fit one full size truck. Some of these people will show up again lot of times after dark with two big Ford F150’s with big tires and I’m trying to sleep and I can hear them trying to fit their trucks in these little parking spaces! LOL! both cabins have great google views of what the parking spaces look like and how big. 🤷♂️

I never understand the people that you deal with. Their excuse is always that there wasn't a sign or they didn't see a sign. Who in their right mind thinks that it's okay to just park any where they want and just leave it there for hours and not expect it to be towed. I feel bad for the poor guy, he obviously felt bad about having to have them towed but had no choice because he had such a small parking lot. If they can afford to rent a cabin then they can afford to pay to park.
All three of those illegal parks had South Carolina plates on them...something in the water in that state? :)
Jeff, With the repeat calls for these vehicles I would have made them wait until the next morning since they left them parked for hours. Also, maybe you should take no parking signs to the pizza place which states for Pizza shop only..... Stay safe. 🎄🎄🎄😏😏😏♥️♥️♥️

The nerve of some people. If I were to park at a business like that I would at least leave a note with my phone number asking to call me if there is a problem. The shop owner of course doesn't have too, but it's a little bit of consideration on the driver's behalf.
