I remember being in a Vietnamese restaurant and there was a kid running around with a 1 step changer Cyberverse Jazz having the time of his life. That day my thoughts on 1 step changers took a complete 180.
Helicopter Dropkick was the first Studio Series toy I actually enjoyed. The transformation wasn't convoluted and both modes held together solidly. I even liked how the propeller wasn't loose so in robot mode it wouldn't move around as easily.
I mean they’ve got good articulation and they hold up pretty well given they are over 20 years old. Definitely understand. I almost bought the wolfang reissue. There’s something charming about them
I could be wrong, but I think Retrax was called "Hug Bug" in Japanese markets, which I love. Also, Yeah, I don't think I'd call ANY of these figures bad by any means. Some might be simpler than others or have some flaws, but do people really forget about Armada Sideswipe so easily? lol
I actually have that Sideswipe toy and I remember the day I brought him home from Walmart while also having that Galvatron, also I have my own ideas for a Transformers movie series someday.
Dropkick has one of the funnest transformations out of all of the Studio Series figures, in my opinion. It just rotates and flips soo much, it’s really fun to do
- My guilty pleasure Transformers figures are: Beast Wars Retrax (legendary bad!! It’s so bad, it’s good!!) ROTF Supreme Devastator AOE Galvatron ROTF Swerve Studio Series ROTF Soundwave (A decent figure, but I hated the gray colors that I repainted him in G1 colors, and looks amazing!!!)
Another toy people seem to hate are Earthrise Arcee and Kingdom Tracks. For *me* they are actually not that bad. Admittedly, T30 or SS86 Arcee are better but idk, I like ER Arcee for what it is. As for Tracks, my copy doesn’t have many of the QC issues all of them have so I absolutely adore. As for Arcee, again, I will replace my ER Arcee with the Bumblebee movie SS toy so yeah.
Sure maybe some people don’t like the same things that you like but if the thing has value to you and gives you joy than that’s the only thing that matters.
I’m appalled that people hated old legends class figures cause for a time it was all I collected sadly most are gone now I’ve only got a few now. Besides that AOE Galvatron is fine very awkward but fine I’ve seen people paint him up and he actually looks visually a lot better than the SS to me at least. Heck I’m probably one of the only people that hunted him when the movie came out, even though I’ve since parted ways with him. I feel like if there was ever a guilty pleasure I’d like to own it’d be it’d be the old movie voyager Megatrons I already own DOTM and really like him, so now I plan to get 07 and rotf, and I’ll admit both of them are pretty bad especially 07 and his janky ankles I just have a weird fixation on movie voyager Megatrons.
Dude I got so pumped when you mentioned injector, he's one of my favorites too. The only difference is I feel no guilt with him, I genuinely think he's one of the better fuzors. Really weird, but outside of the transformation is well executed for what it is, and what it is is..... that. I also absolutely love the combiner wars brawl figure, but then again I am very biased as it is one of the last things that my dad ever got me before he passed away, him combiner wars motormaster and blastoff were all in that group, and while I don't really like the blast off that much, the brawl and motormaster are genuinely figures that I love despite their issues.
THANK YOU! CW Brawl is legit a fantastic figure with 1 flaw, and even then, depending on the tolerances of you specific toy, it even gives him an ab crunch, putting the articulation of the rest of the ENTIRE LINE to shame, had they given him wrist swivels, he'd be entirely perfect, it even integrates the handfootgun the best out of all of them, as it becomes a perfectly believable anti-air turret, I 100% agree with you, it's also my favorite CW Deluxe by far and I did love that toyline, my only real complaint about it is that the turret doesn't turn, that is a legit problem.
I've been in a depressive rut lately and decided to turn on this channel in the background while I grind in a game to just kinda let myself be empty headed for a little while. Great video my man absolutely love your channel I totally agree with this list also when I first saw that brawl in this video I just fell in love with that mold and plan on getting at least two or three different molds I also i prefer the helicopter dropkick in vehicle mode as well as the jet shatter I don't have the helicopter dropkick but the car version and I love my jet mode shatter and can't wait to see them in a aircraft formation together because I love the harrier jump jet and cobra attack helicopter also when you send 'he's a weird one' about injector I immediately thought of a edit of the Grinch song that go's like 'he's a weird one mr. Beast Wars Injector' also for me modern transformers in General are a guilty pleasure for me I'm STILL trying to collect the earthrise Seeker molds and really now unless they make a certain character I really like I don't really buy many Transformers now also if your interested I'm working on my own 3:75 inch scale toy line but it won't start until a few years from now I mean I'm just starting to draw some early sketches but I plan on having a LOT of customization options manly with the colors weapons and decals with plenty of molded details even better than Hasbro's GI Joe like I'm talking about an engine cover that shows the whole engine and panels revealing the aircraft's guns it will probably take forever to finish but it will be well worth it when it's finished also I plan on sending a few "samples" boxes to some UA-camrs that would like some of my items including you if your interested but anyways great video love your videos and channel and hope you and your folks are doing great.
You talking about fall of Cybertron sideswipe reminded me of something that always confused me. Other collectors I watch always complain about transformers being hollow in accurate having low parts counts and I get mad about them complaining about that because they’re toys meant to be played with by rowdy little kids, who want to have fun with their favorite characters. That ties do another problem with the newer studio series figures because they’ve gotten a lot smaller than something like combiner wars, and their paint has gotten worse along with the plastic quality so they can’t really be used as toys unless you’re careful.
I know TJOmega is secretly LGBT and in denial about it, he lives in Florida and clearly grew up around ignorant bigots who told him to repress it which is why he gets defensive about it.
There is no such like guilty pleasure in life you like it but it , see it no matter how bad it is other people won’t like it there are people who do like it guilty pleasure doesn’t exist as long there are people who like them
Great list! I agree with most of your figures.. I've always loved AoE Galvatron, and Retrax! The Mega Pretenders Crossblades and Vroom are on my list too!
What's great with Injector is that you can repurpose him as the Blentron Latolata from Beast Wars Neo. The only difference between the two is that Latolata has charcoal gray instead of the black plastic and a Blentron rubsign instead of a Predacon rubsign. Rest is the same. So if you don't feel like spending lots of money on Latolata, there you go. You have two toys in one.
I never owned any of these figures/toys, there are some which i admit i would had love to get when they were likely available from my stores like AOE Voyager Galvatron or Combiner wars Brawl and then there are the ones that once upon seeing their true fun gimmicks like Bot shots or DOTM cyberverse i feel instant regret for not getting them at all lol. But yeah, neat choices, even the Powerhug figure looks unusually fun not gonna lie; if i had to say most guilty pleasure Transformers toy that would be the 2007 Voyager Megatron yes the ice pieces look odd and it certainly doesn't have an accurate look for the most part, but in the end i liked that Megatron a lot that funny enough i was like "aw man i wanted the leader class Megatron" but after messing with this Megatron figure i am happy i still own this figure.
Honestly energon prime, retrax, injector and that one step mold are ones I'd love to get some day and I have owned that galvatron and it's still my favourite movie galvatron and I'd be super happy to pick that up again!
Studio series helicopter dropkick was my first SS figure and it has always been one of my favorites, it's very underrated, I still have him, but he's missing parts and I need to replace him. Another one of my guilty pleasures is the SS DOTM thundercracker, because, it's not talked about alot, it was an exclusive to toys R us when it was closing, and it's just a repaint of nitro Zeus, but, in my opinion, thundercracker looks better, if you have him, you know why.
I like the Sideswipe/Jazz mold too except the arms snapped off on both of them for me, and while I was able to fix Jazz with superglue Sideswipe refused to get fixed to the point where there is so much super glue caked up on his arm panel that I can't even attempt to glue it back on anymore.
I like 1 steps, they deserve more love as in reviews besides ones from "show and tell toys" and the prowl transformation is my favorite, least favorite transformation gimmick is the shellforming RID combiner force bumblebee, they don't need to use that for 1 steps unless the character would have a huge backpack and they're design is remenisent of being a shellformer (as in having less parts interracting with the vehicle) like arcee, and of course I love the legion figures, I mean they are gonna be small and cheap, what are you gonna expect? and the DOTM cyberverse line just puts out the full potential of the size it was going for, overall it's a good line
A few of my "guilty pleasure" TFs include Energon Grimlock (but not Swoop), Fall of Cybertron Grimlock, boat babe Cybertron Thunderblast, and the brickish 'expansion pack' bots like Armada Overload and Energon Wing Saber.
I don't get why ppl hate SS helicopter dropkick ? yeah sure, he's inaccurate and all, but as a background troop, he has a pretty good design, plus the way the forearms work, gives him extra blades, imo that makes him a fun action figure
Hey I know this isn’t a clone video but I was wondering if you have or would do a every stone mold ever because I love that mold and want more but don’t know what characters are in that mold

That’s absurd!!! There’s no shame liking some transformers toy even if most people don’t think so. The only thing that matters is that you like them.
Gosh, 1 step changers are mechanical wonders, they're just so interesting, I'd love to get like 5 different molds and just take them apart
