above moon you can see all the other iterators, far in the distance where its too far for any single purposed orginized creature as a mere slugcat to reach with their small size and being the bottom of the food chain. yet these iterators themselves are only connected via communications line and unable to physically meet eachother... how lonely would it be, being looks to the moon especially, being so close to another iterator, having a sky bridge connect with five pebbles but unable to meet him, caress him nor a hug or even a simple handshake... just a hologram to replicate a fraction of affection.
not only that. the harsh reality that all of rainworld's community knows is that they were made to be immortal like the ancients, they cannot even die. plenty of taboos make it hard for them to find a work around and other than that they are also recognised as a mere tool for ancients to find the triple affermative, moon herself said along the lines of "we're theorizing whats after the point of no return while having yet to pass it" basically trying to find a way how to ascend while having yet to understand ascension itself.
That's strangely deep but very accurate to the game's story. Many passing gods try through trial and error of solving something yet to be understood completely. The occasional slugcat interfering with the affairs.
