- This mod is a 10/10 for me, everything about it felt spectacular and it adds so much to the hunter campaign that it felt like a completely fresh experience!
It's another one of those that feels like it could be part of the actual game with how well made it is! And that art is gorgeous too!

Hunter is probably the bravest messenger of all the slugcats, their doomed from the start and their only perk is a back spear and yet they cross the whole facility grounds just to deliver a helping hand to a stranger.
i mean, Spearmaster got a fucking pearl ripped out of his chest, had to risk himself way more for food and his journey was definitely way longer
@@CaramujoDaLeste On the other hand, Spearmaster's life wasn't on a constant ticking clock leading them towards a inevitable end, and had no reason to assume this pearl delivery would be any different than the ones they'd done before.
They're both good slugcats tho. Such good slugcats. ~
Hunter does do slightly more damage but that doesn’t really matter with a bomb in your chest

I like how they kept the art direction & general content VERY close to the base game. I highly approve.
I think the ending might be a reference to the way the rain worked in the old versions, where the screen went black and it was just you... an then the rain
slugpup hunter is so adorable omg, I hope the rw team canonizes this mod in some way like expedition mode and such, this is so cool!

I’m pretty sure there is a second ending where you can get to NSH if you get there in enough time, could you please try and get it because my game crashes every time I try to see the cutscene. I’ve cheated to get there when I got it legit before and it still crashes. I wake up in the NSH room when I play the campaign again but I really really really want to see the art for the cutscene.

What are the criteria to get that ending? :O

@@lolight2 The Author actually *just* talked to me about this in the trailer video “Finish your mission in a limited cycle then maybe you can see another one :D”, that’s what they literally said to me
i was mentioning about the ending you got in this video in the trailer video, but i’m not fully sure if the author is thinking of the same ending as this one

What an absolutely beautiful mod! I WISH Hunter’s campaign had more detail like this! Apart from the ending, my favorite part was definitely the flashback where NSH was making the green neuron, it looked so incredibly cool!
It’s revealed in Spearmaster’s campaign that NSH was using Hunter before Moon fell to send silly messages. SRS made spearmaster by inspiration of NSH’s use of Hunter. Nonetheless still an amazing mod!
just one correction
whilst Spearmaster was inspired by NSH's use or a messanger the broadcast conversations make it sound like NSH is going to make a new one to send to Moon instead of reusing one he's used before
"SRS: Do you suppose you'll ever raise another messenger?
NSH: If the need arises, I certainly would. After all, I started investigating the method out of the inevitability of our situation."
"NSH: I'm tempted to start work on raising another messenger as a last ditch effort, but to be honest I don't think there is any point."
based on the fact that they mention the idea to make and send Hunter as "raising *another* messenger" I think this quite clearly implies that Hunter has not yet been made at the time of Spearmaster's campaign and that NSH is going to create and send an entirely new one (that being Hunter) instead of reusing the messenger that he'd previously used
during my hunter run i suddenly crashed in the shoreline-sub gate and when i reloaded i suddenly became gourmand! very interesting, no idea how to replicate it. nsh decided that i needed some crafty help i suppose!
also: during the spoiler gate, some familiar green overseer showed up!

If you get there fast enough you'll end up back at NSH's structure and you get to explore his superstructure! Easiest way is to just use the warp menu mod to get there with enough time. I just used the warp menu to go to pebbles and then moon then the OE karma gate.

This definitely took way longer because I brought the pup along :p
But it was worth it, it even saved me multiple times along the way :)

The art for the outer expanse ending is amazing! The mod creator did a great job on this, it’s sad that hunter died of the rain after seeing nsh's can and being so close yet so far

What a mod, well executed, as you say, it looks like it'd nicely fit in, give the player a reason to refuse the usual route of going deep down.
And no I'm not getting teary eyed at the ending.

I wish that you could have explored NSH's structure and perhaps the areas around him! From my snooping into the comments in the mod page, the NSH region(s) is pretty fleshed out! Or should I say, metaled out?

seems like you need at least 15 cycle to get good ending, alright, that's kinda hard with the pearl all the way...
"kinda hard" I went to the shelter at the middle of sky islands on the first cycle, second cycle sky islands to chimney gate, third cycle all the way to pebbles, fourth cycle half way through underhang, fifth cycle all the way to shaded to shoreline gate, sixth cycle to moon and to shoreline to garbage gate on the same cycle, seventh cycle all the way to farm arrays and 2 more cycles to get through farm arrays. I had a grand total of 2 cycles to spare
This would be even better when combined with older hunter mod, which modifies garbage wastes, shoreline (though shoreline modification is still being worked on, GW modification is already there) as well as more precipice rooms. the changes are basically past+future versions of these regions, GW not having acid and shoreline presumably being a more ruined and submerged version of waterfront.
I love how the pearls in NSH's chamber matches his colors

whoa, this is amazing! the custom region looks SICK
If you didn't know, you can access all locked karma gates if you have enough karma to go through it backwards(no outer expanse). First step is to teleport through the gate with devtools to be on the other side,
Use the gate to "enter" the region you was in before,
Teleport through it again and you should be able to leave the gate area into a new region.
It works because karma gates switch your region between one and another, you passing through the gate triggers it and it switches the region, not noticing that you used the gate backwards.
Note: do not use the pipes until the gate sequence ends. If you enter a pipe and the region changes while you're in it, the slugcat just disappears, so you'd have to restart

Was there a king scav you could kill for the mask or was it gone like its supposed to be? Btw bitter aire on top of moon has a locked gate if you want to try that.

The R.W. test facility was designed to provide basic weapons training for new organisms as well as give experienced organisms an environment to practice and sharpen their skills.
The facility contains basic combat simulators, zero gravity zones, and a melee combat course. While there are no popcorn plants on site, "the iterator" has been known to throw a dead lizard in the floorspace roofing.

This mods quality is so high that it is basically one, I would just say it needs a little touching up on the text and it's good to go :p

We need another video on this! There are actually 2 variations to the ending, so maybe try and see if you can get the 2nd variation, and there might be something changed at ascension (but I am not sure about a changed ascension so you can try if you want)

I don't understand people that say "I couldn't explore NSH region because there was no cycles". Just go to Rain world remix and make more cycles for hunter. Yes, it is cheating but what can you do if this scug doesn't have enough plot armour to live longer. And also, if nsh is region after outer expance, can you show the way to it? Haven't gotten ending yet, just want to be prepared. I also can suggest mod "Open exclusive regions" which is literally what it does. Opens outer expance for everyone, as well as metropolis, rubicon and other. Considering that Hunter goes after Arti, maybe you can try to explore Nsh as Arti? Or any other slugcat. Just want to see what can be there. Nice mod really. Artwork is amazing, i think it was commissioned from one of official rw artists
The mod automatically makes it so you only have 1 cycle left by the time you’re in NSH

slugpups can spawn in the nsh building and he just does not care

I might download rain world again, one question though: is it just lore expansion or also give "challenge expansion" to the hunter?
It's just a lore expansion mod for the most part, there are some new gameplay elements and it does force you to carry both the pearl and slag keys, but I wouldn't say it is a huge challenge increase :)
